![]() A single glance. A fleeting moment. A solitary touch could make everything worth it. This was my breaking point. This was where I lost myself completely. I did the only thing that made sense. The only thing I had left to give. I begged her… To take me with her. Book 2: The Conclusion to The Pierced Hearts Duet ![]() So much more than a romance, this is a journey of destined hearts. Choosing you is the second part of this duet and picks up exactly where book one, Choosing us finishes. I finished Choosing Us after being completely captivated by this story and so eager to read the next book. Choosing us began with a journey of two children who found each other while in foster care, fell in love and then the story moved to the present, to Dr Pierce and the man he is today, a shell of his former self until the introduction of a third character. Camila became the third person in this Journey, the nanny, the hired help to look after Dr Pierce's children, Camila and Aiden have a potent chemistry from the moment they met, you can feel it from the pages, you can feel the push and the pull in this man and his inner turmoils but the nagging question throughout this book is where is the girl Aiden aka Dr Pierce fell in love with, were was his wife, were was the mother of these beautiful three children, a question that ran throughout the plot of this book and just when you think you are finally going to get the answers, the plot took another swift diversion. Oh the twists and turns, and oh my heart. This duet is heartbreaking, heartwarming, it's tells of life dishing up disasters to good people and how fate steps in with a healing balm they didn't see coming. It's a journey of life, love and soulmates. Beautifully written by M Robinson, a whole different feel to any of her previous books and I absolutely adored it for completely different reasons to books I have also loved by this author before. A must read for one of those lazy Sunday days. Told in dual pov, contains no cheating and leads to a beautiful hea. EXCERPT Before I knew what was happening, I blinked, and I was suddenly sitting in my car. Aimlessly staring out the windshield with a bottle of Jack gripped tightly in my grasp. There was nothing left of me, just a hollow shell of a man slouched over in the driver’s seat. One leg hanging out the open door with the other firmly pressed on the brake pedal. My weighted-down head bobbed side to side, trying to remain conscious as I chugged yet another swig of the fiery burning liquor. Welcoming the sting as it soared down my throat. Except I didn’t feel a fucking thing other than the agonizing pain that had taken over my being. Not even the whiskey could make that go away.
