![]() Good Fighter romance A slow paced read that at times was a little to descriptive and wordy but half way through it really picked up. Ari is fleeing domestic violence from her ex, has a son with disabilities and Crosses Danes path when her ex attacks her in a car park. Dane is a teacher of martial arts. Ari has a dislike of violence obviously due to what she has been through and as their relationship progresses she struggles with Dane being a fighter. This is where it's slow going. Once there is acceptance on Ari's part and Dane prepares for his fight the pace picks up. A good read, great characters. A little too much about Xander and Eden in the beginning it was making me want to read their story more than this, their relationship sounded more exciting. Twists and turns, a jealous ex, danger and action. would I read other books by this author? Yes I'm curious about Xander and Eden.

![]() I love the fuck outta you Kitten, 5 stars I honestly thought I was in for another tears and snot fest but what I got was a beautiful read that tells of destiny, the past and the present, there's laughter, hot moments and good old cockney charm. Years into their marriage both Georgia and Cam still very much happily married and after finally facing the courage to go through Macas box Georgia starts to go through the letters she never opened. Throughout the plot your taken back every now and again as Georgia plucks up the courage and one by one she opens them including Cam. The love Maca had for Georgia tugs on the heart strings and there are lots of beautiful words and reminiscing. Told in dual pov's focusing on the present day with the life of Cam and Georgia, their kids and extended family I laughed out loud so many times it brought a brilliant balance to the whole book and that's the awesomeness of lesley Jones. Cam: I'll have a coffee and some toast and then go wake my wife up with coffee and my extra special cream and a kiss from my dick. What you get in this read is a heartwarming story of fate, a love so deep with Georgia and Cam it turns you to mush and a romance movies are mode of. Loved reading Cams thoughts, what he went through in the past and his declaration of his love for his wife and family now and his humour, a swoon worthy guy and such a bbf Favourite lines: " I might be from Essex mate, but I've got some class. I do not drink my white wine warm" When the family gathers together its like the next generation forming, loved all the family banter and there sure is enough of the kids to have a series of their own. Another brilliant read from lesley and I am really looking forward to book two. ![]() Released 23rd February 2016 Fabulous five, I've got you kitten stars A beautiful college romance with just enough angst and drama, banter, hotness and to top it off a swoon worthy bbf called Cam. One of Anne's best writing yet, although I also loved The falling down rockstar series this was in a class of its own. Loved it. Loved all the extended characters too and looking forward to reading more about them. Your pulled straight into the heartache of the story as Olivia struggles with the grief and heartache the night she loses her best friends and boyfriend all in one night and she's left walking free not knowing how to go on. Cam, what can I say, there was method in his madness and he brings Olivia from a dark place. Told in dual pov's it's such a heartwarming emotional story and everything you would expect to find in a romantic read. Recommended college romance. looking forward to the next book so much Anne has a new stalker not that I didn't already stalk her lol. Jagger first lays eyes Tatiana while she is taking a beating from her father. A victim of daily violence and a fragile 17 year old girl with no other family other than the man who beats her regularly. Jagger's need to protect her from that moment is overwhelming. It's a sweet and heartwarming ineraction, a journey to new hope, new beginnings and a new lesson to be learned in the meaning of family for Tatiana. Told in dual pov's you're transported into the thoughts and feelings of each character. Loved the other characters, the Caldwell brothers, Livi and Hailey and like any loving family there's banter, gatherings and feel good moments. A brilliant all round read with some angst, alpha male fighting action, drama, humour, romance and intimate hotness. Praise to the authors for raising the awareness of domestic violence, a subject so very real and active in the lives of so many people and for giving hope and hopefully courage to whoever reads this and needs just that little push in the direction of courage. May your words be inspiration in a book I thoroughly enjoyed. Tatiana: He is Jagger Caldwell. He is the legacy of good in my world of bad. He is mine. We're star crossed he and I. like a living breathing Shakespeare play. and what I want, I can't have. Part one of this dark edgy book is filled with promise. Told in third person, sometimes first person so as a reader I struggled with this at times I suppose it depends what you prefer and I prefer first person hearing the characters thoughts and feelings. A dark and deep read, the characters Jane and Dallas were taken as children held hostage in dark cellers, the book takes you briefly to past experiences and the struggles and memories in the present. Even now as adults both struggle to move on. Dallas has set up a vigilante secret organisation were tactics, his kidnappers groups and findings are discussed, this is how Dallas has found his way to deal with what he suffered along with his now reputation for being a lady's man losing himself in countless faces. Jane writes as her escape, writes about kidnapped children and organisations. It's a complexed read and difficult to sumarise. Since freedom three things keep them apart. One: The sins and secrets they shared in the dark Two: The memories they evoke when together And Three: the fact that they are brother and sister by adoption. Jane: What was perfect and right and saved us in the dark is forbidden in the light. It's not a romance read, yes it contains sex and a relationship but I found it to be a book I really had to concentrate on and found myself re reading lines. Not my usual romance hearts and flowers or alpha read but lovers of complex gritty and gripping reads full of mystery will love it. Reviewed for Netgalley ******** Nearly a 5 gripping stars *******
Wow what a cliffhanger! and that's my only reason for this not being a five star read, As stated in the synopsis it is part one but don't let this deter you in anyway, it has added to the anticipation of what happens next, will I like how it goes? I'm almost scared to find out. I'm surely going to be a stalker for the next book so I can find out. Brilliant plot, The sugar bowl is an agency and in a nut shell rich men pay for a women's companionship and it pays for the woman's rent, schooling and other arrangements in contract. Sela poses as a sugar babe to get to the man J.T who was her perpetrator years before, this damaged girl grabs all the confidence she has and after years of planning, she's changed her body, her hair color and her goal is in sight what she didn't plan on doing was falling for J.T'S partner and friend Beck. Sawyer Bennett had me gripped to the end with twists and turns, moments of joy, sadness, swoon heartwarming moments and the hotness was off the charts. Sela I realized that intimacy is actually something that I could learn to crave with a man like Beckett North and that I've just begun to discover the true potential inside of myself. Told in dual pov's you're able to get thoughts and feelings from both characters and gain an understanding of how each one of the characters tick and it sure did finish with a bomb. Loved it and can't wait for the next book. Pre-order Available AVAILABLE ON KU
Hot MC read Firstly I love a woman who can stand up for herself Ash is definitely someone with backbone and sass so I liked her character a lot. I liked Krypt but he wasn't as alpha as I hoped he would be or as swoon worthy, so bit of a let down there, if anything Ash did the claiming in the relationship and made the decisions. Ash and Krypt first met when Krypt was in prison and Ash is a prison guard. Transferring Krypt to another prison results in a ambush and Ash is taken as their hostage. Great plot filled with angst, danger, kidnapping, hot sex, MC action and drama, yes it certainly had it all and brilliantly written, read in one sitting. Reading as part of a box set and I hope to see more of this couple in the other books because I didn't get the hea I hoped they would have and what about the ex? I still have unanswered questions and hopefully ill find out. ![]() Romantic Rockstar read Two bands on tour together, mixed sex's so you know from the beginning it's going to get interesting Great characters, AJ is a take no crap kinda girl, a fiery character and her first impression of Jace did not go down well. Jace was the cocky rock star, a reputation with the ladies so getting a knock back from AJ made it game on. Loved the chemistry with the characters, Jace was actually a sweet guy and a bbf. The other characters were also entertaining, the friendships and the banter that flowed between them was good and great to read. loved the writing style told in AJ'S pov, a steady read, predictable, no huge dramas or angst, it's simply a romantic girl meets rock star read with hotness in the mix. looking forward to reading more about the other members of each band. ![]() Hot Hot Hot! with helpings of Lemon drizzle. A chance meeting, a hot few one night stands that turn into more a brilliant read where you just want to lock yourself away and absorb it all. Told in dual povs so you can get into the head of each characters, I love that. There's humorous moments hot moments this book has it all, Louise bay is one of those authors where you can pick up her latest book and know you will not be disappointed. Looking forward to more from Louise Bay Arc gratefully received by Netgalley for honest review ![]() Release date 15th February 5 Shakespeare stars This kind of love, it's what Shakespeare wrote about and why? because only something so rare, so all-consuming could create a tragic love story. I went through the emotions, I shed a few tears and only a brilliant put together book can do that. "It took me an hour to know you, and only a day to fall in love, but it will take me a lifetime to forget" Arc gratefully received for honest review Quick MC read Fleeing from an abusive partner, Tina arrives in a new town, looking for work and a place to stay. Arden is part of an MC and for him it's insta love. Tina with fiery red hair and matching personality brings out his possessive side and from that moment on his plan is to make her his. Dirty Ride Is a steady paced read with likable characters told in Tina's pov, there's a few lol moments when Tina and Arden banter with each other and you get those feel good moments romantics like when you realize two people who are meant to be together have finally found each other. Would definitely read more from the series. ![]() Brilliant friends to lovers story Gracie had the best friends older brother crush on Walker since she was 12 and now grown up living independently, having a rich boyfriend and doing well for herself was a far cry from life she had as a child. Struggling in hand me downs and a mother who went from boyfriend to boyfriend she was finally content or was she? Walker was a disappointment to his father turning down law school to become a fighter so when all his funds were plugged Gracie's best friend Kylie called in a favour. The boy she had loved all those years ago needed a place to stay. Thoroughly enjoyed this easy read, set at just the right pace and building to an epic finish. Told as third person and my only negative would be that if it was in first person it would of been more effective, knowing what is in the minds of the characters is what draws you in as a reader and makes you feel more involved but I loved it none the less. Walker finally sees what was in front of his eyes all those years ago and Gracie now has to decide with her heart. Gracie doesn't know if she can take the risk, he didn't want or see her all those years ago when he was the sought after quarterback in their home town but now he does and its rollercoaster read to finding out how this MMA fighter read will go down. Walker: "And now I see it. I see You" Great read, love K.A Robinson's books for containing everything you may need in a contemporary romance.
This had everything hotness, romance, drama and an element of danger. Yep certainly enough to keep you turning the pages and I loved it. Would love to read about Andy their best friend. A VERY EMOTIONAL HEART WRENCHING READ. I JUST HAVE TO GIVE THIS 5 STARS FOR THE WAY ITS WRITTEN AND ITS ABILITY TO CLAW ITS WAY INTO YOUR HEART AND EMOTIONS.
A story that is very deep, deals with Death, self harm, attempted suicide insecurities, self loathing and much more that is very real in many lives of people today. kaleb is the anchor and support for Aubrey that you hope anyone who goes through such things in life has a chance to find that special person who takes up the anchor so they can sail through these things together. A story of true love story & Beautifully written. Beautiful conclusion to Carter
Written in both povs like a diary of events, how life goes on despite heartache and the grieving procedure when you miss someone who's been that constant in your life. Do you wait for a healing heart, carry on with the torture in the heart or do you take the plunge and fix it. The tables turn in the second book with Leah. Filled with emotion, angst and heartfelt thoughts from both characters its a great conclusion, a bit far fetched but thats the world of fantasy. Wow!
what a journey Told from Leah's pov her life story with Carter how they become childhood friends, how she admired and watched him from afare, her journey into unrequited love. It tugs on the heartstring, its beautifully written in the way that has you aching for the character in their times of need and happy in their joyous moments. This is part one of this journey and a journey you will want to see to the end. This book reminded me of Kyland and if you've read that you will understand the kind of emotional roller coaster it takes you on. It's not full of dramas, just a whole lot of feelings, words from the heart told from the pov of a girl who grew up in a trailer park were the only future looming was being pimped out by her uncle until Carter, hero, life saver and best friend does what he always does and becomes Leah's rescuer. Sounds like a fairy tale but lifes not a fairy tail for Leah but I guess we'll only find out in book 2 won't we? Love this series
Izzy is a tough chick growing up with over protective brothers and having to hold her own made her one tough nut to crack. James is the exact same breed as her brothers, overprotective, domineering an all round Alpha male. Izzy didn't want to be controlled she'd grown up with her brothers trying to control who she could and couldn't have a relationship with as they scared off everyone who got close to her, none of them measured up for their Izzy well until James they liked him and so the battle comences, the chase is on as James sees what he wants and that prize is his in his eyes. Its a hot, quick paced read, has action and drama a woman who swears like a sailor, humour and good plot. Recommended series. |
