![]() We all have guilty pleasures. Mine was the boy my father took in. The guy everyone said I was too good for. The one I knew would ruin me. But I couldn't help it. The way Noah Greyson's voice sounded when he sang whiskey lullabies to me in the dark; how perfect his arms felt wrapped around my stomach, his nose nuzzled in my hair- that's what made me fall. That intimacy was what made me so very weak. But now millions of women drift off to sleep while Noah sings the love story we wrote, and it was never meant for the world. The worst mistake I made wasn’t loving him, it was thinking he loved me, too. At least, that’s what I thought until now… ![]() ROCK-STAR AND REGRETS When Stevie J. Cole said she was writing contemporary, she really did, and damn!, my heart melted over and over. What a beautiful story and that isn't something I've been able to say before from this author who normally delivers dark and angst with L.P. Lovell, well apart from War Hope and that just broke me. I loved this book!!! I have a new bbf on my shelf people and his name is Noah Greyson. Noah Grayson is from the other side of town, a small town thaf is full of gossip and small minded people that just loves to point the finger and it always pointed at the boy with no parents, a boy they labelled trash but Noah Grayson has a gift and that is to sing and one day his voice would take him from this small town and away from the girl he was just starting to love. Hannah Blake is the preachers daughter, a nurse and not someone who listens to the town gossips and thank God she didn't or this beautiful love story would never have blossomed. Whiskey Lullaby is a heartwarming read, a story of first love, opposites attracting, soul mates and second chances, a book to lock yourself away with and absorb all that is Noah and Hannah. Yes I love dark and angst and I love this authors previous books but I also love balance and Stevie J Cole nailed contemporary. "Some people are meant to pass through your life while others are meant to be your life" "This woman was my muse, the first thing I thought about when I woke up, the last thing I saw in my mind before I fell asleep. Hannah Blake was the definition of my everything" Swoon Sundays just got better, this is the ideal book to curl up with. No angst, cheating or drama and hand on heart no-one dies or gets killed, lol. ![]() Now a USA TODAY BESTSELLER How can someone so smokin’ hot be so bad in bed? I mean, Sean Cassidy is absolute rubbish. RUBBISH. He is the epitome of walking, talking false advertising and I want a refund! Plus he’s an arsehole. So… what is wrong with me that I can’t stop thinking about him? THE PIXIE Lucy Fitzpatrick doesn’t like rugby. As the little sister of Ireland’s most infamous rugby player, Lucy can’t seem to escape the championship-sized shadow cast by her big brother, or her mother’s frequent attempts to micromanage her future. Her rainbow hair is as free-spirited as her quest for inner peace, yet overbearing expectations keep bringing her down. And when she’s down, her compulsive little problem lands her in seriously big trouble. THE PLAYER Sean Cassidy is a cold-hearted brute… or so he’s been told. Frequently. By everyone. His blonde locks, baby blues, and rock hard bod make ladies the world over drool with desire. As the rugby world’s second most infamous player, he should be basking in his success. But Sean has never been content settling for second place, and his frequent confrontations with Lucy’s big brother leave him cold. And when he’s cold, his compulsive little problem lands him in the lap of Lucy Fitzpatrick. THE PLAN Sean has a problem only Lucy can solve. Lucy has a problem only Sean can fix. The solution seems obvious: you scratch my back, and I’ll bail you out of jail. But when their business arrangement unexpectedly leaves Sean scorching hot and Lucy on the precipice of inner peace, can they convince the world—and Lucy’s big brother in particular—that this is the real deal? Either way, both the Player and the Pixie are about to teach each other some pretty monumental lessons about family, life, but most importantly, love. I can't say I absolutely loved it, but it was fun, Plenty humor and lots of hot moments. I know this is about a rugby player the cover says as much which is Sean but there's no action on the field at all, so if you like a sports-based read the story was more focused on the characters and Sean was just a Rugby player who was on the same team as Lucy's brother. You could say even though Lucy's brother and Sean were on the same team they were also rivals, Sean loved to rub Lucy's brother up the wrong way and he took the bait every time with his hot headed-ness, they hated each other passionately so when Sean caught Lucy's eye at a party and vice versa it was only spelling out trouble. Lucy has a shoplifting habit, its something she does to relieve anxiety caused by her overbearing mother and when Sean catches her in a store one day red-handed the cocky rugby player hits the jackpot and finally has leverage to make Lucy go on a date with him and it's also his chance to get back at her brother, something he can rub in his face, only a friendship develops and a journey to lust then love begins. Lucy teaches Sean who is rubbish in bed and a two-minute wonder, how to please a woman and Lucy gets a new fix to distract her from her shoplifting habit. A good story it kept me entertained anyway. I listened Player and the Pixie on audio, the accents were terrible, Sean's was a mixture of stuck up English man to Irish, being British myself the accent was all wrong and it distracted me for a good part of the book but I tried to focus more on the story, so this is one I recommend to read I think and not listen too. ![]() The Vasiliev name is a powerful one. What an exciting and gripping start to a new series. I love all books from both these authors, so together it's no surprise that I absolutely loved Vlad. Vlad is intense, unpredictable hot and exciting. Family, honour, lies, deceit, betrayal, arranged marriages, it's all going on. A bit about the plot; Irina is the younger sister of Diana, Diana is a strong Character and runs her father's business but she is to be married to Vlad to strengthen their family ties and businesses. Irina has always from a little girl had eyes for Vlad who is now to be Wed to Diana and all Irina can do is sit back with heartbreak that the man she has crushed on secretly for years is to marry her sister. Vlad is hot!!! powerful, Dark and dangerous he is the male version of Diana but more intense. I'm no longer Vlad, the great Russian mobster who plays the game better than anyone. I'm hers". With Twists, turns and threats of vengeance, Vlad really is a brilliant mafia read and I am looking forward to more in the series having had a taster at the end of this book with Diana's pov. I want to feel alive, and I do when I’m drinking and partying the way I should have when I was a teen. Instead, back then, I was preparing to become the Whiskey Princess, a role assigned to me from birth. A lady never drinks to the point of blacking out, nor does she go home with men she meets in bars. But I went home with him…Jackson. He was more than just a one-night stand, but I learned that a wee bit late and he was gone. Or so I thought. For when I return home, Jackson is there, and he finds out very quickly who I am. Problem is, I’m not sure that I’ve ever known who I really am. *** I can tell by looking into her blue depths that she’s absolute trouble, but I have to have her. It’s only for one night. Some fun, and I’ll be on my way. My time here is done, and I’m ready to move on to my next adventure. What I don’t realize at the time is that she is my next adventure. Lena excites me. She blows my mind. And her brogue? It has me in knots. I don’t even care about the rumors that surround her. She’s hurting. I want to help her, but then my time is up. Can I leave her? I have to leave. I have no choice. But I love her. ![]() I liked it.. Whiskey Rebellion is a pleasant read with lots of hot moments. About the plot; From the very beginning of the book, I discovered Lena and her promiscuous ways and I thought this is going to be some tense book, however, after the first chapters, it was more of a sweet romance than what I first expected. Lena is a woman rebelling, rebelling against her heritage, her parents, her town, trying to find herself but at the same time getting lost, spiraling downhill with sex, drugs, and alcohol. This is the Lena in the first chapters. Lena is escaping from her duties as the whisky princess, living it up in London, she's a woman who is observed and scrutinised by town folk and the press in the area she is from in Ireland and is perceived as royalty and due to recent events Lena is doing what she wants even if it's not good for her. Jackson is Canadian, traveling Europe and working wherever he can. Jackson first meets Lena when she saunters into the bar where he is working and pretty much jumps his bones and there was no way he was turning a one night stand with a beautiful girl away on his last night in London before he moves onto the next city. From what was supposed to be a one night stand it seems fate intervenes and Lena and Jackson discover each other again later when Jackson visits Ireland and Lena at this point has had to return home to her castle and begin fulfilling her duties again as a Lady, attending charity events and filling her sick mother's mother's shoes. I found the plot slow, predictable, the Irish accent took some getting used to as well. Lena and Jackson definitely had chemistry from the moment they met and the sex scenes represented that. The story Is about self-discovery, not letting the past dictate your future and facing your fears. An enjoyable read, probably perfect for a lazy day's reading but It just didn't have enough oomph, drama or angst for my enjoyment, I nearly gave up a few times, like I said it was enjoyable just not for a drama-hungry reader like me. Everyone thought Mason Knight was the whirlwind that swept me away. But nothing compares to those two shots. Those two shots woke me up and made me see that when we fall, sometimes we need help to get back up. ![]() A good college romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. I Finally for to sample this authors work, Sloane normally writes paranormal which I don't read and I loved this so much. I love story's like this, Erin is a loner and prefers it that way, she's bullied by a group of girls who at times are nothing but pure evil, Erin avoids them best she can and just wants to get through her school day without incident. Mason, *sighs, what can I say, he's the new hottie in school, a night in shining armour, When all the girls eyes are on him Mason has only eyes for one girl from day one. A good story that has two parts the school years with bullying and Erin and Mason getting to know each other then the second part is leaving school and the future. When we fall is a book filled subtle messages about rising above bullies, being brave, looking to the future, new beginnings, being who you are and proud, trusting others and you will experience a good mixture of emotions, I smiled, swooned, got angry and felt the heart breaking and heartwarming moments. A recommended YA read. Told in first person, Erin's pov. ![]() **Excerpt** It’s been one week. One week since Mason Knight barged in and interrupted my quiet little world. I liked my little bubble where I worked on my own, didn’t have to rely on a partner for a grade in my classes, when people didn’t talk to me about the new guy at school. I liked the quiet that came with being a pariah. The worst part of it all is, the bad bits have gotten worse. Girls are the worst creatures ever created, I swear to God. Some girls hid my clothes during gym class yesterday; I found them soaking wet in a shower cubicle. Astounding – just because the new guy speaks to me in class where he HAS to. He’s quiet other than that, he seems to keep to himself, even though he draws people towards him without trying. He has this magnetism people just can’t resist, and they follow him like a lost flock. And so, because he speaks to me, I get punished. I’m currently hiding in a locked stall in the girls’ room, trying to get some peace and quiet during lunch. Seat cover down, kindle out, feet up, door locked. It’s not the perfect setting, but it’s a whole lot better than out there. People discovered my spot in the library and kept interrupting my lunch to ask if I could pass on their number to Mason. I DON’T EVEN KNOW THE GUY! I lost it at the last girl and word vomited all over her before storming off and ending up here. The warning bell rings, disturbing my quiet time and I can’t help the exaggerated sigh that escapes me. Just four more hours and I’m free. Just two more periods then I can go home and have a long hot bubble bath. But first, class. I gather up my stuff and pop it into my shoulder bag before heading towards Math, which I survive unscathed. Last but not least, I have English, just reaching my chair as the final bell rings. I slide into the chair next to Mason before unpacking my text books and notepad, and arranging my pens, just so, on the table. “Hey,” I say with a small smile and a glance in his direction. What? Just because I hate the repercussions of being his table buddy doesn’t mean I’m immune to him. The guy is drop dead. Like, move over RPatz, Alex Pettyfer – take a step back, Mason Knight is in the house. He smiles at me and holy crap, I’ve not seen him smile before, not even a smirk. Ladies and gentlemen, my brain has just melted. He’s hot when he’s all broody, but smiling? I think my heart just turned to dust. I shake my head a little before turning towards Mr. Perry, our teacher, who is groaning on about the philosophies of life. “What would you do if you were offered everything you ever dreamed of but the cost was unthinkable? Would you pay that cost? What if it was to save a friend or a loved one? Would that make it different?” I think about it for a minute, I don’t think I’ve ever wanted something that bad. I mean, yes, I’d like to know who my family are, why they left me, but would I do something insane for it, I don’t think so. And other than Monica, I don’t really have people – so the second part doesn’t really apply. Sneaking a glance at Mason, he looks deep in thought, almost sad. I look away before he can catch me watching him and focus back on Mr. Perry, who is handing out copies of a selection of snipping’s from various literature. He’s still rambling, but I zone out, doodling on my notebook. That is until I hear Mason pipe up next to me. I turn to look at him and he’s leant back in his chair, looking as if he owns the room. “My favorite book, Mr. Perry? Well that’s not a simple choice – the selection is too great,” Mason says with a smile. I can’t tell if he is serious or not. “Well, Mr. Knight, if you are as versed as you say, maybe you can delight us all with a few lines from one of your favorites,” Mr. Perry challenges. He’s stood at the front of the room, leaning back on his desk with his arms crossed. I have obviously missed something. Mason clears his throat before speaking. “Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swaps of the not-quite, the not-yet, and the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists... it is real... it is possible... it's yours." He speaks with such passion; the whole room is hanging on his every word. The bell rings drawing me out of my zombie like daze. “From Ayn Rand’s, Atlas Shrugged – Very well, Mr. Knight,” he says, obviously impressed. “I expect you all to read your handouts before next class, we will be discussing them; and I will know if you didn’t read it properly,” he shouts as the class gathers their books. Slinging my bag onto my shoulder, I move forward without looking up and walk straight into someone. I look up to see Mason looking down at me, his hands on my arms, keeping me upright. Oh, my God! “Steady there, tiger. You don’t want to fall down on that pretty ass of yours.” He almost growls the words; his voice is so gravelly. I can’t place his accent, but he’s obviously not from around here. I blush. “I’m so sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going.” “It’s fine, having you pushed up against me really isn’t a hardship.” Get your copy now! myBook.to/WhenWeFallSM ![]() A standalone contemporary romance in the MORGAN BROTHERS SERIES from USA Today Bestselling Author Lauren Rowe. I always fall into the plot with ease Ava really is an exceptional writer. Sordid was hot, frustrating, a rollercoaster, there were times I wanted Grant to grow a pair and I felt for Bridget and Grants dilemma. Is a man a cheater if he sleeps with a woman, claims he is separated from his wife yet still lives with her for show or for business reasons? ..... You will have to read Grant's story and decide for yourself. Let me explain a bit...... Grant's wife has had affairs for years soon after she married Grant she even had a child by another man but Grant still brought the little girl up as his own, Chelsea not only deceived Grant into thinking she was someone else while dating, as soon as they were married she got what she wanted, money, it was all for the money and her true colours shone through and Grant was trapped or was he? Was Grant not trying hard enough? Grants dilemma had me pondering but it made it one interesting and angsty read. Grant hasn't been with a woman in years, he's miserable being blackmailed by his wife , unable to divorce her and when he bumps into Bridget who is having an equally bad day having lost her job the two of them see a kindred spirit, sparks fly between them, only Grant knows he can't offer more and leaves after a brief hot encounter. Bridget finds a job only her luck goes from good to bad again when she discovers her new boss is Grant and fate intervenes again. Grants life is a mess, a hot businessman is being dictated to and ruled by a manipulative woman who uses her own child as leverage, I really did enjoy hating on Chelsea. Sordid was definitely a hot read with an interesting and captivating plot that had twists and turns. I Loved it, Grant frustrated me, but Sordid kept me fascinated with how it was all going to come good or play out in the end and I wasn't disappointed, even if it was at the eleventh hour. Even if the truth hurts him more than he ever anticipated. Even if it means going against everything he’s ever known. Because Cassie Malson is his absolution, and this time he’s determined to save her heart … even if he risks losing his own in the process. ![]() I absolutely love this series. I have read this series from the beginning going from a high school setting in Chastity falls to the characters now being older, some have moved on and found love, faced danger and dramas and I loved that now Cassie and Dennis finally have their story and a happily ever after. L.A Cotton is a brilliant writer nothing is given away to soon, you as a reader are left guessing how it will all play out in the end, there's no predictability that will make you roll your eyes in the plot of course you expect a hea and that's predictable but there's always dramas, angst and hotness along the way. You could read this book as a standalone, it is a spin off from the previous series, there are brief encounters with characters from previous books but the main focus is on Dennis and Cassie and all the events that surround them. A bit about the plot; 4 years ago Dennis let Cassie go, he felt it was for the best, he made a promise to his mom before her death to look after his father and even if that meant staying in the family business that involved danger and criminal activity he wanted to fulfil his mothers dying wishes, Dennis walked away from the girl he loved and didn't look back until fate brought them back together. Cassie was broken, she loved Dennis and tried to move on, she had hopes of becoming a teacher and did begin to live her life again until she fell for the wrong guy and ended up in an abused relationship and pregnant. Cassie is now picking up the pieces yet again and lives with her aunt and first see's Dennis again when he walks in to the bar were he is doing business with her boss who is also known for his illegal dealings and reputation. I love a second chance romance and Absolution definitely hit all the right spots, great characters, a captivating and engaging plot and a heartwarming hea. This is one of those story's that is hard to review without adding spoilers. Yes it's about a rock star but it doesn't go into Rock on tour, the Rock star lifestyle or or anything like that, Rock or RK is recovering from an accident where he loses his band mates and while the police investigate the incident he is told to go to his home town to recover and keep a low profile. RK's small home town is the last place he wants to be with to many bad memories and more importantly wanting to avoid people he thinks hurt him before his life changed from small town boy to famous rock star. One thing I will say is that due to RK's accident and events that happened years before he has memory loss around certain moments in his life and although RK isn't aware of this or subconsciously he is in denial about these things, hes in the dark just trying to figure things out while his friends are just waiting for him to see the light. There's shocking revelations and twists and turns within the plot that keep you as a reader guessing just what it is everyone else seems to know while Rock slowly starts piecing things together. I listened this on audio the narrator with his smooth voice that really suited Rock's laid back character, I would definitely recommend the audio version and this story. There's no heavy drama, a few hot moments, a very interesting an intriguing plot and it does lead to a hea. ![]() From the bestselling title 'TAKING AVERY ' comes 'FINDING RHIANNON.' When you live your life for Brotherhood, the betrayal of your flesh and blood brother is even more devastating. While the fate of the Lilith’s Army princesses relies on that of a traitor, emotions are triggered, and secrets kept locked away spill free, adding fuel to an already raging fire. No one is safe with enemies hiding in every dark corner, waiting to pounce. Who will survive the chaos as everything comes to a head? Leaving a trail of broken hearts, blood, and carnage its wake. ![]() 4.5 stars What was that ending? OMG this book took me on one emotional heart bumping roller coaster. As MC reads go Ker Dukey and DH Sidebottom have nailed it. There's enough action, angst and hot moments to keep you flipping the pages nervously and ravenously for more of the action. I love MC reads for the danger, angst, hotness, Alpha males and characters with backbone, Finding Rhiannon had all that and more. This is the second book in the series and I do recommend starting book one first. The story is told in first person multiple pov's and it will help knowing who other characters are due to the characters being in the previous book and there story continues along with new events in this book. As the title suggests Rhiannon is taken and the club is desperate to find her along with Avery who is also taken. The plot is gritty and full of apprehension. I felt the end was rushed jumping from one time line to another I would of liked to see some form of a hea for Rhiannon and, her childhood crush and her brothers best friend but alas, not yet and it had an abrupt ending that made my jaw drop. I can't wait for more, I will be looking out for the next book with anticipation of my next fill from these brilliant authors. ![]() TAKING AVERY IS 99¢ FOR A LIMITED TIME!! Jess belongs with me and I'm going to make sure she knows it. AVAILABLE IN KU BUY LINK https://books2read.com/u/bxgBxJ ![]() My first book by this author, I really liked it. The plot was enjoyable, a high school romance were the player falls for his forever girl and goes from douche to bbf. Nick Fisher is the hottie in school, lives in a frat house and president of his fraternity chapter, he's a serial dater but when he meets Jess his playdays are over. I like this kind of story where a douche becomes an adorable bbbf, Nick was tired of keeping up appearances dating the spoiled princess kind of girls and Jess was the only girl not falling all over him and that made her stand out. Jess I thought was a little to easy though, she wasn't like other girls wanting to be with Nick for popularity but at the same time Nick didn't have to chase her, she was head over heels and gave in to easily, forgave to easily and I do prefer a stronger character. No bad days focuses on Nick and Jess's relationship, the pressures Nick faces from his dad about taking over the business, wanting to control him even down to choosing the daughter of a business partner for him to date and then added pressures of Jess moving away to another school. The whole plot was interesting and kept me turning the pages, I really liked the other characters too, Jess's friend Rachel, now she was a girl with backbone, I liked her and Nicks brothers who I would also love to read about in their own books, the guys had banter and a dynamic that I liked. Told in first person dual pov and leads to a hea No cheating very little drama or angst, one sex scene, a safe enjoyable read. ![]() She's stripping. I'm watching. She's playing. I'm watching. Peep Show is a 90,000 word novel with themes of voyeurism and dark scenes that may be upsetting to readers. If you are brave enough, come meet Miles. He's been waiting for you ![]() Peep show is one of those books where you ask yourself, wtf am I reading? What, what, what? In a nut shell Miles is agraphobic, doesent leave his apartment and becomes obsessed with the girl across the way who's window is directly opposite his. Bebe is an it girl, I didn't know what that meant at first but she's a girl who attends all the parties as a VIP, she isn't rich by any means of her own, it's her parents who are wealthy and she just parties hard, guzzles champagne and takes pills to get high with their money. Bebe is a laboutin kind of girl but is she happy? no, nowhere near since she lost her best friend who died of an overdose, you could say she's one messed up girl. Bebe and Miles watch each other, both are obsessed with each other, they have phone sex and as the plot progresses so does the weirdness. It may sound like Bebe is a self centred rich girl but she redeems any first negative thoughts I had of her when she imparts herself into Miles life and in a way sets him free. Miles is like a caged animal, his past was dictating his future with insecurities and mental health issues in fact Bebe had her own issues too and in a way they saved each other. Peep show is hot with a dark edge, gritty in some parts, it's definitely not a hearts and flowers kind of read but didn't give me anything to cringe about either and it does lead to a hea. A glance in the huge mirror on my wall reminded me of what I mess I was when I had too much to drink. My silver sequined dress was riding up, revealing a hint of my ass under the shiny fabric. My hair was wild, the dark brown locks a halo around my head, and my brown eyes glowed with excitement. At least my makeup was still in place, the perfect smoky cat-eye enhancing my looks, making me appear demure yet sexy. I'd perfected the art of it, making sure I always had someone eager to buy me a drink. I sank down on my bed and pulled off the murderous black heels that had been torturing me all night. But it was okay – I'd learned to handle the pain, and when I was dancing, it never mattered anyway. I lay back and I stared at my ceiling, letting myself think about what my life had become, but only for a short minute. The key was never to focus on it for too long. I had to forget, and drinking, dancing and partying, was the only way I could do it. If I stopped twirling, stopped tipping back glass after glass, I risked stopping long enough to think about what I was doing. And that was the last thing I wanted to do. I needed to forget about Posy. She was long gone, and there was no bringing her back. I pushed myself off the bed shakily, and walked over to my window to let some fresh air in. There was nothing quite like a nice fall breeze to clear my head, and God, I needed some fucking clarity. I opened the blinds and looked outside, the street below me illuminated with streetlights. It was gone four a.m., and most of the lights in the apartment building next door were off. I lived in a nice neighborhood of townhouses, about three apartments per floor and three floors total. It was a nice place to live, and, of course, I wouldn't have been able to afford it if it hadn't been for my parents' stack of cash in my bank account. Being a trust-fund baby definitely had its benefits. My eyes traveled upwards and focused on the only illuminated apartment across the street from me. I could see right into their home, but the minimalistic apartment seemed to be empty, even though it was lit up. I wobbled on my feet and opened the window wide, enjoying the breeze on my face, slowly bringing me to my senses once again. A thumping noise interrupted my reverie, and I looked up again, right into the apartment opposite mine. Except now, it wasn't empty anymore. Now, there was a dark, impossibly tall figure pressing a naked woman against the window, fucking her savagely, mashing her tits against the window, her mouth opened in an endless gasp as he took her from behind. My mouth gaped in surprise, and I moved a little to the side, hiding in the darkness and watching the show they were putting on with a smirk on my face. The woman had small but perky tits. Her skin was dark, almost ebony, a sharp contrast to the pale man standing behind her, towering over her. She was tiny and curvy, and he was fucking enormous. He was all toned muscle and dark, slicked back hair. His strong, muscular arm was wrapped around her neck in a chokehold, strangling the screams right out of her. And his skin was covered in dark, menacing ink, the black color stark against his light skin. I wanted more. I wanted to keep watching. I shifted on my feet to get a better view of what was going on before me. He fucked her like an animal. I could see his hips working, pushing, thrusting inside her from behind, claiming her petite body and making her mouth open in a silent scream. He fucked like a beast, and he looked like a monster. I fell in love with him right then and there. My fingers shook as I reached for my purse, scrambling to find it on the bed and trying not to look away from the scene in front of me at the same time. I wanted to watch. I wanted to see his face when he filled her up. I wanted to see if he'd pull her hair back like I imagined he would. I managed to get my phone out of my handbag, bringing it in front of my face and quickly snapping a picture of them. It was blurry as fuck, but it would have to do. Suddenly, I felt awake and sober, staring into the cold night outside and wishing I could swap places with the wild-haired beauty. I wanted him inside me. A burst of inexplicable jealousy bubbled lazily in the pit of my stomach, but I did my best to ignore it. Instead, I kept snapping pictures of them. Of him. Wishing I could see him better, I moved from behind the curtain a little bit closer to the window. My breath made foggy circles on the glass and my hands shook as I dropped my phone and reached under the hem of my dress. The silver sequins felt cold and exciting on my fingertips, and I touched them gently before spreading my own trembling legs apart, slowly outlining the wet, dripping shape of my pussy lips between my thighs. I was so wet. In fact, I was fucking leaking all over my panties, the image across the street making my pussy drool so much I flushed in embarrassment. But I couldn't help myself. Couldn't resist slipping my fingers under the sodden satin fabric of my panties, outlining my perfectly waxed pussy as I shivered under my own touch. It felt so strange, voyeuristic, to be watching them do this only on the other side of the street. And it was horny as hell. My fingers worked their magic between my legs, slowly teasing my cunt open and finding my clit. I'd let someone kiss me at the club that night, but I didn't bring anyone back with me, which was strange for me. I liked having someone to go home with. It made me feel wanted. I remembered his hot, needy lips. He was a nice guy, not one I'd usually go for, which was probably the reason I hadn't brought him back home with me. He had a buzzcut, and his face was clean-shaven too, and I loved the prickly feeling of his features under my fingertips, and the push of his bulge against my tummy. But I didn't let myself have it. I really didn't do nice guys, because I wasn't a very nice girl. Lips parting in a gasp, I braced myself against the windowsill as my fingers stroked me towards an orgasm. His hand was squeezing her throat so tightly she looked like she was out of breath, her chest heaving and her mouth open so wide. She was crying. He was fucking her so hard, so savagely, with so little mercy, that the poor girl was crying her eyes out, all the while coming all over his dick. Fuck! I gasped, my fingers working in fast, messy circles to get myself off. I came with a desperate cry, my pussy making a mess all over my fingers. I'd always been such an easy comer, ever since I learned how to get off by myself. My eyes felt strained as I looked back up, and then opened as wide as they possibly could as I stared at them. He was still choking the girl, her eyes closed and her breathing ragged, but his own gaze was firmly fixed on me. I panicked. Surely he couldn't see me – my room was barely illuminated. But I saw them both so fucking well. He grinned at me. Two rows of perfectly straight, impossibly white teeth glaring in the darkness of the night. He ran his free hand through his dark, slicked back hair, and carelessly scratched at the stubble growing on his chin. Then, he reached in front and pinched the girl's nipple so hard she threw her head back in a scream I couldn't hear. He kept staring, and I couldn't look away and my heart leapt when he knocked on the window. Two sharp raps, whispering something in his girl's ear, making her eyes fly open in panic, glance across the street, and she saw me. I stared at her. I stared at them both, unable to move, my pussy juices dribbling down my thighs. He raised a hand and waved at me, an easy smirk playing on his lips. The devil waved and nudged the girl he was fucking, motioning for her to do the same thing. When she shook her head, his hand wrapped tighter around her throat. And she looked at me sheepishly, and waved, just like he had. I'd never wanted to be someone else until that moment, when I wished with absolute desperation that I was the beautiful petite girl next door getting her pussy slammed by a stranger. He thrust inside her one last time and my own fingers repeated his motion. His eyes remained locked on me as he came, the girl crumpling in his arms, only him holding her up as he spurted inside her. My fingers fell away from my body, my poor cunt spasming by itself, leaking down my thighs, ruining the sequins of my dress and covering them in my own pussy juice. My legs shook and my cunt spasmed as I came again. I watched him let go of the girl, gently laying her down on the floor. I could only see her naked back against the glass, her shoulders hunched as she cried her release out, her whole body shaking with pent-up orgasms. And then he stepped up to the window, in all his glory. He must've been over 6 feet 5. He was fucking enormous, so tall she looked like a child at his feet. And he was completely naked, save for the condom on his dick. His fucking cock matched his height, making my mouth water at the sight of it. He was ripped, muscles everywhere, looking not just like he worked out regularly but like he made it his mission to keep his body in perfect shape. His cock was still hard as he took the condom off, discarded it on the floor and stroked slowly. He grinned at me, and stroked his cock lazily with one hand as he wrote on the steamed-up window with the other. My eyes danced across the words and I stepped forward, letting the light of the streetlights outside illuminate me. I knew he saw me now, because he jerked his dick faster, and it made me fucking ecstatic. He liked what he saw. And how couldn't he? I was always sure to be groomed to 5 feet and 10 inches of polished, manicured and slutty perfection. I followed his fingers writing in the window and lifted my dress up, showing him my ruined panties. His eyebrows shot up and he smirked at me, licking his fingers and palming his shaft with fast, needy motions. I stared at his words in the window, written clumsily, some of them fucked up because he'd tried to write their mirror reflection so I could read it. My pussy tingled at his crudeness. My heart thumped in anticipation. And my mind reeled with the possibilities. I DARE YOU TO GO NEXT. ![]() A stranger online. Dark hair and even darker eyes that knew my dirty desires before I did. I must admit finishing book two I thought to myself, I could happily leave it there because Karissa and Naz pretty much had a happy ending but as the title suggests would it of been a happily ever after with a target on their backs?. You don't just walk away from the mob, you run and one day you will be found and Karissa had already experienced that in her life with her mother, always on the run. It's a scenario that I can only explain it like someone hunting deer then all of a sudden the deer turns to Bambi and you just can't do it, yes even Naz with his cold heart fell for his target. Now married, Naz is trying to be a better man, give Karissa a better life and this is like a really long epilogue to that final peace and happiness. There's drama and suspense, twists and turns in a nut shell its so bloody good. I am getting addicted to JM Darhower. Honestly I sat there, laid there and listened to this on audio and I just didn't want it to end. Grievous is the second book Conclusion to Menace. Lorenzo and Scarlet's relationship has certainly come a long way from the intense relationship they first had in book one. Lorenzo and Scarlet were like two flames that fed off each other. In Grievous Lorenzo continue to have that crazy intense and passionate connection. I enjoyed the transition of Lorenzo going from hard boss to hero. I loved the journey the characters take in this book, the battles the characters faced and still face that leave them marred and not without mental and physical scars but the crescendo to the hea satiating. I enjoyed everything about this story, the thrill, the anticipation, the characters, the villains, the ending. Lorenzo is the kind of character with a hardness, a man of little emotion, a man who is feared and without meaning to be at times he is so damn funny and you could say he's a smooth criminal, I loved him. Scarlet as Lorenzo calls her or Morgan is feisty, a woman with backbone, a woman who has been through so much in her lifetime and still she stands tall and continues in her quest to find her daughter while she herself is being hunted by a Russian mafia boss. J.M Darhowers Writing is impeccable with a plot that is unpredictable and gritty at times. I love mafia romance and this is absolutely brilliant I loved every moment and can't wait to read more from this audio. like I said; I listened to this on audio, these narrators are absolutely brilliant and really bring the characters to life, Lorenzo sounds smooth, hot, I loved his sarcasm and the way he plays any acts of niceties off. Lorenzo is a villain who in the end becomes a hero. I think I got more out of this book by listening to the audio version so I recommend it. A Brilliant and recommended duet for any Mafia romance lovers. Contains plenty hot scenes, has an element of darkness and grit, is told in first person dual pov and leads to a hea. ![]() Start the duet and read Menace today! ❤ myBook.to/ScarletMenace ![]() From New York Times Bestselling author, K. Bromberg, comes the second standalone book in the Everyday Heroes series. Just how hot will firefighter Grady Malone turn up the heat? Songwriter Dylan McCoy has been burned. Still . . . a rebound has never looked so good. That’s her first thought when she sees firefighter Grady Malone. Sexy. Charismatic. Unapologetic. He’s a man who carries his own scars—the ones on his back, the survivor’s guilt on his soul, and the fear in his heart. When an unexpected visitor puts their roommate status to the test, will their undeniable attraction burn out, or will they both take a chance and play with fire? ![]() When you finish a book with a happy sigh, when you feel like you have been on a journey with the characters, when you feel bereft because you reached The End, when you know this book will stick with you long after those last two words. This is why I read romance and K Bromberg doesn't just write it well, her words are beautiful and flawless, the plot makes you feel the good, the bad, the characters turmoils and joys and the emotional journey of the plot. "I'm kissing you because when I'm with you, ,y mind stops, and the world starts turning again". Combust is about two people who find each other when their world is dark, when they have lost faith and hope, about two people who aren't just people with self image fears, it runs deeper than that and Dylan and Grady help each other to face their fears and find love from their inner turmoils. A beautiful story, the synopsis sums up what the book is about without me putting a spin on it. Combust has Love-able characters, a heartwarming story, it's not a hot read but it does have moments of intimacy and more importantly leads to a heartwarming hea. Told in first person dual pov. Part of a series and standalone. He’s standing with his hand on the refrigerator door, head leaned inside, and his back fully exposed to me. It’s broad and strong and scarred immeasurably. I stare. I can’t help it. The marks are a dizzying array of dark and light and ridged and smooth. And they’re undeniably burns. Goosebumps chase over my skin as I imagine the pain he must have endured when he got those. I think of his habit of wearing unbuttoned shirts but never going shirtless and the hint of scars just visible above his collar that I never could have imagined led to this roadmap to hell on his back. A part of me instinctively wants to reach out to touch them, bring some kind of comfort. It sounds ridiculous, even to me, but that doesn’t abate the urge. “Not pretty, huh? Get a good look while you can.” His voice is gruff as his spine stiffens and body stills, emotion woven through the words. “Thank God not all of you is pretty. I was beginning to feel majorly insecure having to live with perfection like you,” I say off the cuff, trying to make this situation less awkward. My attempt to settle the sudden tension sparking in the air around us. “Perfection?” he asks as he turns to face me with a smile that masks the emotion swirling in his eyes. “Yeah. You have scars. I have mermaid thighs.” “Mermaid thighs?” He laughs. “What in the world are you talking about?” “Thighs that touch from the top all the way to my knees.” I shrug as if it doesn’t bug me, as if I’m not highlighting one of the insults Tara threw at me. It’s a whole lot easier to make fun of myself so long as it puts him at ease. “Do you ever give yourself a break?” “Do you?” I ask the question, sparking a silent battle of wills as we stare at each other and wonder what to say next about the other’s insecurities. Coming up empty, I shift gears. “I think there is some type of rule about how many abs are fair for a guy to have when the rest of us are just struggling to find one of them.” His smile rings more genuine as he steps toward me, and I step back, my hips leaning against the counter now. “Is that so?” His voice lowers as his eyes flick to my lips and then back up. “I’m sure you have some under your shirt there.” Why does the simple action make it seem so hard to swallow? He takes another step. “What are you building outside?” “A playroom.” A nervous chuckle falls from my lips as I think of all of the versions of playrooms I’ve read about in my romance books. My cheeks stain red as I imagine Grady with a flogger in one hand standing beside a St. Andrew’s Cross. “A playroom?” “Yeah.” He takes a step closer so we’re breathing the same air, his voice husky enough to cause every part of my body to grow alert. “A playroom. You know . . . a pool table. Foosball. A real man cave.” I exhale a shaky sigh, suddenly more than aware that he’s so close, shirtless, sweaty, and smelling like sun and soap mixed together. But it’s his eyes that make my thoughts falter. There’s an intensity to them I don’t expect from the perpetually cheerful Grady Malone. “Ah, that kind of playroom . . .” But my words trail off as he steps even closer and braces his hands on the counter on either side of me. I can hear his intake of breath. The music floating in from outside. The pound of my pulse in my ears. “Hey, Dyl?” “Yes?” Our eyes hold, my lips fall lax. “I need you to open up.” “What?” I question as his hand brushes against my hip and his fingers pull on the drawer handle I’m standing in front of. “I need the bottle opener. You’re standing in front of the drawer it’s in.” His lips spread into a full-fledged grin as I scramble away from the counter and, of course, run smack dab into the hardness, all six foot plus of him. And then I rebound off him again in a flustered state that has him laughing and me stuttering. “Sorry. I wasn’t—I didn’t . . .” His arms hold on to my biceps to steady me, which prompts me to look up and meet his eyes. “We need to stop meeting like this,” he murmurs, the heat of his breath hitting my lips. “We do.” Brilliant, Dylan. Freaking brilliant response. “I’ve gotta . . . I’ve gotta get back to . . . to writing.” About K. Bromberg New York Times Bestselling author K. Available in KU. Wow! this isn't just another mafia romance, Dirty is intense, dark, blood thirsty, exciting and the epitome of a love hate relationship. "The power that surrounds him crackles through the air, choking me until he seems like the oxygen I need to breathe". I had to read the last chapter of bad to refresh my memory and once I did I was reminded of the intense and dangerous relationship Ronan and Camilla had. A Cartel queen taken by a Russian mafia boss, enemies who become lovers, two wrongs that make a right or a wrong, depends which side of their fence you sit on. "Ronan is danger and adrenaline and raw power. I both hate and love this twisted pull he has over me". This is the kind of book you read with bated breath you can never quit tell where these two authors have conspired for the plot to go. "Yes, Ronan Cole has laid claim to me. The devil wants my soul, and maybe I want him to have it. The power he has over me terrifies me. I'm not sure I can do this". This is an intense war of love, lust and hate while fighting off other enemies. The race to the epilogue was thrilling, I was desperate to see how it would all work out. "Ah, but you crave me just as much as I crave you. We're two addicts chasing the same dark high," Another brilliant read by L.P. Lovell & Stevie J Cole. This isn't a book for the faint hearted it's a gripping and passionate read filled with suspense. There's blood play and sex, lots of hot agressive sex, I loved it! Fabulous ending to this duet. Told in first person dual pov & leads to a hea. |
