There are three things you need to know about Janie Morris: 1) She is incapable of engaging in a conversation without volunteering TMTI (Too Much Trivial Information), especially when she is unnerved, 2) No one unnerves her more than Quinn Sullivan, and 3) She doesn't know how to knit.
After losing her boyfriend, apartment, and job in the same day, Janie Morris can't help wondering what new torment fate has in store. To her utter mortification, Quinn Sullivan- aka Sir McHotpants- witnesses it all then keeps turning up like a pair of shoes you lust after but can't afford. The last thing she expects is for Quinn- the focus of her slightly, albeit harmless, stalkerish tendencies- to make her an offer she can't refuse.
5 Mr McHotpants stars
Oh I loved this. Janie is quirky, funny without meaning to be, she clever, brainy, nerdy talks one hundred miles and hour I loved her character.
Quinn is hot loves Janie for who she is, it's a slow burn romance Janie doesn't dive into anything without analyzing it and putting it into organised boxes in her Brain first before making a decision.
One thing you can say about Mr Quinn McHotpants Sullivan as Janie named him is he's patient. I've never come across a character like her.
A brilliant story line of an unlikely romance were a hot Alpha male meets nerdy girl and falls in love.
I laughed so many times while reading this book, i mean who shouts for the love of Thor when there frustrated, so funny at times and I'm not normally a rom-com reader but it this book was refreshing, clever and filled with a lot of Janie's facts of informative and geeky comments that I could't not get swept away with it.
A brilliant recommended Rom-Com
LISTENED TO THIS ON AUDIO AND THE NARRATION IS FABULOUS BRINGING THE CHARACTERS TO LIFE
Not everyone born of Mafiya blood wants to be in the life.
I was determined to never go anywhere near it. Headed in the
opposite direction, I pushed away from my family and their legacy.
Until they needed me.
And then...so did she.
I got sucked in too deep, going after her and trying to save them all.
Now, there's no turning back. I'd do anything for my cousins, for Sasha.
After all, family is everything.
Complete standalone, HEA, NO cheating
A good story with Mafia involvements but a little disappointed.
About the plot;
Beau has abandoned his roots with the Russian Mafia and become a member of the police force. Beau still has lots of connections and is still welcomed by the Russian mafia along with other Mafia ties.
With time off from work Beau uses the time to continue to look for his cousins best friend who is believed to be taken by a sex trade years ago. Five years of dead ends and Beau finally gets an opportunity to go to an auction were he finds women being bid on.
Sasha and Beau first meet at the auction, Beau is drawn to her, she is also Russian and a slave. Weeks later Beau has the opportunity to bid on her.
Beau's main aim is to bring down this illegal business and with the help of other Mafia members they begin to plot.
Sasha and Beau get close, she's malnourished and weak, Beau Cares for her and she grows attached.
Sasha's clingy and bratty, as a reader I couldn't bond with her character at all, I expected her to be meek, timid but also strong for what she had been through but bratty and throwing tantrums when she doesn't get her own way?
Sasha's history didn't fit the personality she had been illustrated with.
When I first started reading this I thought the woman Beau had been searching for, for 5 years would be found and the plot was leading that way but no it wasn't the story I first envisaged, Sasha was a girl who stood out at the auction not the missing girl Beau has been searching for.
I feel more time in the story with the characters bonding, learning more about each other may of helped with my perception of the characters and helped me as a reader to feel a connection but more focus was on the sex trafficking destruction plans.
A good plot, not unique I've read this sort of plot before not to different.
Beau wasn't as Alpha as I like and Sasha wasn't the strong heroine I prefer in a book.
Good read, a plot with suspense, told in dual pov's and leads to a to sudden, and I felt rushed hea.
Those who like action an interesting story and Mafia reads will like.

BLURB: THE RUN IN
Becoming the new Marketing Manager at Tate and Cane was a game changer. I was hell bent on proving I deserved this job, and that it wasn’t my cousin Sterling Quinn who had helped me score the new job title. Him being one of the CEO’s best friend—didn’t help the rumors.
Well screw that.
Ten years of sweat and hard work was the reason I was sitting in a large corner office with a killer Manhattan view. More focused than I’d ever been, it was time to take the bull by the horns.
And God help the person who stood in in my way.
Things I left behind in Seattle, Washington: A promising career at a top marking firm, the past I was desperate to escape, and obviously my sense of direction. It was because of all of those reasons I was standing in the middle of New York City lost and cursing at my phone.
If I didn’t get to Tate and Cane soon, I wouldn’t only be late, but also blow the chance to make the good impression on my new boss, Mason Quinn. And I needed that more than anything.
One wrong turn, an unfortunate collision, and an expensive suit drenched in my soy chia tea latte was not how I wanted to start my first day.
Then there was the other little problem I had. The drop dead gorgeous man whose suit I’d ruined was my new boss.
And boy did he look pissed.
EXCERPT : THE RUN IN
A gentleman was walking by and I put on my best smile and asked, “Excuse me, could you point me to the elevators?”
He glared at me like I had committed a crime by speaking to him. He pointed, huffed, then rushed out the door.
“Thank you!” I called out after him. A smile on my face because I knew that annoyed the jack ass even more.
Adjusting my bag and purse over my shoulder, I turned and headed the way he had told me only to come to a small little restaurant.
Whirling around, I took a right and decided to head the other way. The elevators had to be toward the middle of the lobby. I could go left or right. Which way?
“Shit, why is this stressing me out?” I whispered.
Left. No right. No left.
I went right and immediately ran smack into someone.
“Motherfucker!” he cried out as my precious soy chia tea latte drenched him.
“Oh, my gosh! I’m so sorry. I didn’t see you!”
“No fucking shit you didn’t see me!”
Ahh the people of New York City.
Reaching into my bag, I grabbed a few napkins and attempted to wipe the drink off his expensive as hell looking suit.
“Did you not look where you were going?” he asked in an angry tone.
Not looking up at him, I replied, “Well, were you looking where you were going asshole?”
When in Rome, right?
He grabbed my wrist and I gasped at the electric shock that ran through my body. Jerking my eyes up at him, I opened my mouth to demand he let me go when I stopped.
The guy standing in front of me was hella good looking. No. He was more than good looking. Could someone be beyond good looking? Handsome wasn’t the right word, he was beyond that too. His warm honey eyes were staring into my hazel and for a moment, it looked like he was just as stunned as I was.
No. No I knew that look. He was pissed. There was no way a guy this freaking hot would ever look at me with such intensity in his eyes. I was nothing special. My blonde hair was pulled up and I had decided to go light on my make-up today. Mascara and a light coat of powder and a hint of blush were all that grazed my face.
Yet. He was staring at me with a look I’d never seen before in a guy’s eye. Then he furrowed his brows.
Oh yeah. He’s pissed.
“Did you call me an asshole?”
Ugh. He’s one of those guys. God forbid a woman speak her mind.
I returned his stare and focused on my voice being strong and clear. “I did, and if you don’t let go of me, my knee is going to be connecting with your dick in less than five seconds.”
His head slowly tilted to the side and the corners of his mouth rose into the sexiest smile I’d ever seen on a man.
She was everything, yet she was nothing.
She was there, then she wasn’t.
I didn’t expect her, never wanted her.
But there she was, everywhere yet nowhere.
She drew me in with her looks. Locked me with her first words, then stole me with her lust.
She was everything I didn’t know I was searching for, yet nothing I needed.
She was a conundrum, difficult and confusing.
One who was impossible of staying away from
When you can't put a book down due to complete awe....
That's exactly how I was after Savage Collision I wanted more and now thankfully we have the conclusion in Savage Reckoning.
The plot picks up exactly were it left off.
Complex Character's with many layers, a plot with many layers and with each page turned more is pealed away, more revealed, more is unfolded in TL Smith's unique style.
A gripping and mind boggling plot with twists and turns.
This isn't a hearts and flowers kind of read, it's raw and gritty but slowly you see characters such as Connick begin to thaw and you see the real Connick, I actually swooned once and that wasn’t something I was expecting from the character I first met in book one.
Derrick is still relentless and obsessed,Nicole is still unstable and filled with Jealousy, Milanka you begin to see changes leading to a life she deserves and Connick begins to be the man she needs him to be.
It's a rough roller-coaster ride to any hea though so hold on tight.
Contains violence and lots of hot passionate sex told in dual pov's.
Secondary characters, Harlin, I loved Harlin, she's a contract killer, a nutter, a ball-buster and hard as nails, she too is a character with hidden layers. I'm hoping for her book too.

Win the game. Lose your heart.
Everyone knows who I am and that I could have any female fan I want. That's supposed to be the "perk" of playing left field for the Boston Renegades. But I don't want just any woman; I want her.
She should be just another face in the crowd, but I can't stop thinking about the one night we spent together-and her look of regret the morning after.
Because Saylor Blackwell is the kind of woman who haunts a man. Smart, sexy as hell, and one of the best managers in the business. She's every ballplayer's dream woman. And I'd do anything to make things right with her.
I'm done sitting on the bench when it comes to Saylor Blackwell. Time to swing for the fences.
I loved Grand Slam. I was completely engaged throughout and loved the characters.
Grand slam is the third book in the boys of Summer series. I also loved previous books, each book focuses on one of the baseball players from The Boston renegades, each with their own story and all different, each one finding love as the plot progresses.
Grand Slam focuses on Travis the teams playboy/Man-whore with a reputation for the ladies. Travis finds himself in a situation when one of the girls he rejects acts as a woman scorned and reports Travis for rape charges.
Saylor is the PR for Travis and has to work with Travis to find a way of minimal damage and keeping the press at bay until the case is looked into and Travis can finally get his name cleared.
Travis and Saylor had a one night stand years ago and Travis has always felt Saylor was the girl for him but due to his reputation and the face Saylor has a daughter she kept him at arms length and kept the relationship professional.
I was completely captivated with this story, the twists and turns that developed, this book tugged on emotions, I laughed and also felt the heartache for Travis and his predicament, loved the hot scenes and swooned over his actions with Saylor's little girl bringing her flowers and completely bonding with her.
Told in dual pov's you get each characters point of view. You don't have to be a baseball lover to read this series each book focuses solely on the characters, their situations and baseball is just a part of who they are.
Grand Slam is my favorite story so far in this series.

Matthew Hansen is the kind of handsome that has grown women whispering behind their hands and giggling like schoolgirls.
Dark, tall and mysterious, he’s a newcomer to our little town. He’s a gritty, grease-covered mechanic, and a single daddy.
Plus he’s looking for a nanny – and I am desperately looking for a job.
Sounds like the perfect deal.
Only he’s a jerk. An uncivilized, hulking brute. Zero manners. Zero interest in making me feel welcome in his home. Downright rude.
But oh so sexy.
And I need the job. I can do this.
One thing is for sure: I can’t fall for the Caveman. No matter how sexy he is. How mysterious. How tortured.
That’s the only rule – and one I’m about to break.
Jo Raven is back to writing moody, broken, sexy bad boys & I love it!
He's been wounded by the twist of fate but he's still hanging on. And don't ask me how I know but I think he's the one for me.
Matt Hanson age 29, AKA Caveman, he's loved and lost, luck certainly hasn't been on his side and now he has two young children to tend to, a new home out of area and a new job to start. He's heartrendingly hopeless, he loves his kids but hasn't a clue what to do. He's tired and grumpy, rude and acts more beast that man.
Matt needs a nanny, he's at his wits end and not coping, he acts like the world is his enemy on the best of days.
18 year old Octavia answers an advertisement for a Nanny, she's looking for work to help out her mother who's a single mother of four.
Octavia's first meeting with Matt isn't much of a meeting at all because Matt slams the door in her face. Octavia reminds him of his dead wife in her teens and that's one less reminder he needs in his life right now when he has run away to another town trying to forget.
Octavia is a mature 18 year old who has helped bring up her siblings being the daughter of a single mum. She see's past Matt's rudeness, see's the crease between his browse as sorrow and dismisses the short answered grunts, Octavia is drawn to Matt and eventually her persistence pays off and she gets the job.
Matt sort of becomes less grumpy as the story progresses but not much. A relationship starts with Octavia and Matt, well when I say relationship it's sex, lots of sex and boy is it hot!
Jo Raven has certainly upped her game with the sexy times since writing Candy boys.
I digress... anyway....
There's more to this plot than Nanny falls for rude caveman boss or rude caveman boss falls for Nanny. There's twists and turns, danger and suspense when Matt begins to get a series of notes stuck to his door with a knife and that sends Mr moody up another notch.
A good read, an enjoyable plot told in dual pov's, hot fan me down scenes and Caveman or maybe I should call him Ice man, does eventually melt, so the story leads to a well deserved hea.
Another good read from Jo Raven.

UNDER HER SKIN is LIVE!!!!
Sienna Taylor walked into Aspen Ink looking for a temporary escape. Instead, she found River Madden, the gorgeously talented and impossibly moody owner of the shop. One look in her big, dark eyes makes him desperate to possess her, his need to mark her untouched skin a primal distraction.
One touch of his needle sends electricity rocketing between them, and by the time he's finished leaving his brand on her, he's doing the unthinkable and offering her a job—and possibly losing his sense of sanity.
Finding forever is the last thing on River's mind, but one taste of her sweet innocence has him consumed with claiming her.
She's too innocent, too sweet, too untouchable, and far too good for him. But she has a darkness that claws at her, a crack fracturing her heart that only makes him crave her more.
Warning: From the moment his tattoo gun touches her skin, River is utterly obsessed with his girl. If over-the-top, insta-love goodness with a moody, tattooed alpha is your cup of steam, look no further! River has a talent for pushing all the right buttons.
4 Fate filled stars.
A hot,quick Insta-love story with substance.
I loved these books from Aria Cole, yes I love getting lost in a book but sometimes you just want a quick read and these books always satisfy my reading appetite.
It's like Aria takes out all the good bits you normally love in a contemporary romance read and puts it all in one book giving the reader all they want.
Under Her Skin is about Sienna and River, Sienna goes to River for a tattoo and it's insta-love and Lust at first sight.
River isn't the one night stand type of guy, he puts all his time and effort into his tattoo shop.
Sienna is a sassy, troubled rebellious 19 year old with an unhappy home life with her dad.
Something down deep and dark inside her pulled me, made me want to protect her, to claim her as mine, and to vow to cover her in kisses every fucking day for the rest if my days.
A short read, yes, but you gain all the info and the feels as you would in a book with more chapters, all the base's are covered.
A hot read with great characters and extended characters, told in dual pov's.
Another enjoyable read from Aria Cole.

Being young is all about the experiences: the first time you skip school, the first time you fall in love…the first time someone holds a gun to your head.
After being held hostage during a robbery at the local convenience store, seventeen year old Edie finds her attitude about life shattered. Unwilling to put up with the snobbery and bullying at her private school, she enrolls at the local public high school, crossing paths with John. The boy who risked his life to save hers. While Edie’s beginning to run wild, however, John’s just starting to settle down. After years of partying and dealing drugs with his older brother, he’s going straight—getting to class on time, and thinking about the future.
An unlikely bond grows between the two as John keeps Edie out of trouble and helps her broaden her horizons. But when he helps her out with another first—losing her virginity—their friendship gets complicated.
Meanwhile, Edie and John are pulled back into the dangerous world they narrowly escaped. They were lucky to survive the first time, but this time they have more to lose—each other.
I LOVE THE COVER,I LIKE THE STORY!
My first book by Kylie Scott since The Stage Dive series, a series I loved but I also like hot rock-star reads, Trust is totally different and focuses on the lives of two teenagers who meet under dangerous circumstances.
Tust involves John and Edie both in their teens and first meet when they find themselves in a dangerous situation, a gun heist in a store.
An unlikely bond forms, John is one of the popular guys in school and Edie is one of the good girls or was until the incident that changed her attitude to life. Edie has recently moved from an all girls school and the two meet again On Edie's first day at her new school.
John was the guy who teachers saw as a trouble maker, lives with his uncle, has a drug dealing brother and loves to skateboard. Edie is the daughter of a single overprotective mum, went to an all girls school and after the incident changed schools to get away from the bullying which she had been subject to for years due to being overweight, friends who weren't really friends and hypocrisy
Since the incident Edie struggles with dreams and John who once sold weed for his brother turns over a new leaf wanting to do better at school. Both help each other and grow close together.
Trust is a story of two people who probably would not of not even entertained one-another but circumstance brought them together.
Trust is a sweet story told in Edie's pov. There's a lot of dialogue, conversations between Edie and John and apart from the beginning and another altercation near the end with Johns brother the pace is pretty slow.
An enjoyable YA read with very little angst or drama. I can't say I bonded with the characters, there was no build up to getting to know the characters, you are thrust straight into the action of the heist, so you don't get their upbringing history or their inner thoughts and feelings are etc. I would also of of preferred Johns point of view as well.
Overall a good story with good likeable main characters and extended characters, a good YA read.

They say that life is a beautiful lie and death a painful truth. They're right.
No one has ever made me feel more alive than the guy who serves as a constant reminder that my clock is ticking.
He is my forbidden, shiny apple. The striking fallacy to my blunt, raw, truth.
He is also my sister's ex-boyfriend.
One thing you should know before you judge me;
I saw him first. I craved him first. I loved him first.
Eleven years later, he waltzes into my life, demanding a second chance.
Dean Cole wants to be my bronze horseman.
But my clock is ticking. See, I’m not like the rest. I have an illness.
Sometimes I conquer it.
Sometimes it conquers me.
My white knight has finally arrived.
Hopefully, he isn’t too late.
I love this series and each book holds its own surprises. LJ Shen has produced another book I didn’t want to put down.
Ruckus had me swooning, annoyed, heartbroken, overjoyed. All the feels are pulled out like a magnet in Ruckus.
Dean Cole AKA Ruckus. He was a hothole. A privileged, unhinged egomaniac from Todos Santos who thought he deserved everything and owed nothing. A manwhore but more importantly once the boyfriend of Millie LeBlanc.
Rosie LeBlanc; younger sister of Millie who is soon to be married to Vicious. Rosie has Cystic Fibrosis and was first introduced in book 1 vicious. She's brave, vibrant despite her illness, witty or sarcastic when she wants to be and kind hearted.
Ruckus claims it was always Rosie that had his heart, the clock was ticking and like the bible story of Jacob and Leah it was time to get his Rachel. Leah was never going to be a Rachel and he wanted his Rachel, it was always Rachel also known in this story as his Baby LeBlanc
I loved this reference, also Dean's references to astronomy all the beautiful words that came from Dean's mouth just at the right time when he wasn't being bossy or dirty mouthed but..... Rosie was a hard nut to crack and struggled with the obstacle of history, the one thing despite her unspoken love for Ruckus and that big cloud hovering over her head was; he was once her sisters.
Ruckus is a heartwarming read that I wasn't expecting not after the A hole that was Vicious and the naughty, dominant school boy that was Jaime so yes,I least expected Ruckus to be swoon-worthy. Don’t get me wrong he had his A hole moments, after all he was a Hot Hole, one of the boys, now a man and a millionaire, he was also treading the fine line between drinker and alcoholic.
Ruckus is a page turner of a read told in dual pov's containing hot moments, a good plot written in LJ Shen's brilliant style that has you curious or hungrily wanting to know how it's all going to turn out once you embark on the journey along with the characters.

Escaping to Credence was supposed to be Becca's shot at a new life, but some secrets refuse to stay hidden, and now that the truth is out, everything changes.
The people she thought she could trust lied. The guy she thought cared about her kept her in the dark. And with no one to turn to, Becca finds it hard to unravel the truth. When she finally does, her past and present collide in a way no one saw coming.
The truth can hurt you ... Some dares will destroy you.
Finally the conclusion to Liar Liar is here!!
I loved Liar Liar, the secrets, the twists and turns and the suspense continues on in book 2.
All is revealed eventually, why Becca was forced to uproot and move to another school, why She's hated and bullied by Kendall.
The not knowing was frustrating, it was prolonged and I envisioned the plot going differently to how it did or the reasons to be more scandalous? LA Cotton really had me hanging on and I love suspense.
Kendall, I still didn’t understand, most of her behaviour I found didn’t make sense to me, she was more than a school bully and had played these sort of cruel games before, basically comes across as psychotic that no one did anything about? you have a group of friends that have all been her target at some point but life goes on? I didn't feel I got closure on that or understood especially with her being a significant character in the scheme of things spanning over two books, but I saw the conclusion, the end and new beginning of Becca and Evans journey which was enough.
I'm thinking out loud, I think I was hoping for more But.... one thing for sure when a character can get your back up it's good writing.
Liar Liar and Truth or Dare is a good highschool romance with suspense, moments of hotness, twists and turns told in dual pov's.

Under pressure from his parents to become a lawyer and lead a conservative, upper-class life, Tripp disappeared from town five years ago to travel the world, forfeiting the opportunity to inherit millions. But five years ago, before she earned her reputation as a hard-drinking, easy girl, she had spent a single summer with Tripp Newark that changed her life forever...
Second Chance Romance
I love books by Abbi Glines, I always finish with a sigh and love every part of the journey the characters embark on.
In You were mine you have Bethy and Tripp. They were both each others first loves but then distance and circumstances separated them.
Both moved on physically but never in their hearts.
Bethy began a new journey with Jace who then unfortunately died in an incident in the sea while trying to save Bethy.
A heartwarming and heartbreaking story, it's bitter sweet.
Eight years later Tripp returns and this time he is determined to stay and make Bethy his again only so much has happened, so much time lost, so much anger and hurt for Bethy and much to overcome so much so that all Tripp can do is bide his time.
You were mine pulls on all the emotions with its swoon-worthy moments, heartwarming moments and with Tripp's dirty mouth the fan me down scenes the hot moments.
All the characters you may have read about in this series are in this book so you also get a glimpse of your favorite characters. You were mine is a standalone but the series is interlinked so you still get a glimpse and can still catch up with characters from previous books.
Listened on audio with really good narration.

"He would leave. And I'd be left with one more thing to move on from." - Bethy in YOU WERE MINE
My best friend is married.
Everyone I know is married. It doesn’t bother me. I like my life the way it is.
Since I’m single though, when my best friend and her husband finally decide to go on their dream honeymoon, she asks me to watch their three-year-old son.
Of course I say yes.
What my best friend neglects to tell me is that I won’t be babysitting alone.
Feeling Max might be too much for me to handle, her husband asks his only single friend to help.
Nick Carrington and I have met a couple of dozen times. I’ve never really given him a second thought—other than to say he’s kind of a jerk. Out loud. So he can hear. Sure, he’s tall, dark, and handsome. And yes, he has the best ass I’ve ever seen, and I mean ever seen quite literally. You see he mooned me at last year’s Fourth of July barbecue because, like I said, he’s a jerk.
He always has to be the life of the party.
He’s also arrogant.
And a playboy.
I’d even go as far as to say he’s a manwhore.
Yet somehow before I know it, this manwhore and I are co-parenting. Living under the same roof. Eating meals together and yes, talking.
Don’t look at me like that—it’s not like I had a choice. Even though I knew every minute would be hell, I had to say yes.
But after two weeks what I didn’t expect to discover is that I’d been wrong about him.
That under his smart-ass exterior, he’s quite charming.
That his arrogance is really confidence.
And that the sight of his naked body would do really bad things to me.
So yes, I’d misjudged him. And yes, I like him. Really like him. Although I might still think he’s a jerk…I now think he’s a sexy jerk.
And I want more of him.
The question is—does he want more of me?
3.5 Sexy stars
Firstly I love this cover
Secondly, this book is written by Kim Karr so I dived right in.
Thirdly, Sexy Jerk is a hate to lovers romance so again another reason to dive right in. So there were three ticks for this book before I even read it.
However, I didn’t think Nick was a jerk at all, the sexy part is right, he just did what single blokes do, yes, he had commitment issues due to something in his past but overall he's a nice guy.
Tess and Nick are already in the same circles Tess and Nick share the same godson and best friends.
Tess agrees to watch her godson Max for two weeks while her best friend and her husband finally get the chance to go on an overdue honeymoon, what Tess isn't aware of until she gets to Fiona's house is the babysitting duties are going to be shared with Nick Carrington the guy she pegged as a jerk,a manwhore and arrogant.
Tess begins to discover that maybe she read Nick all wrong and Nick is on a mission to also prove her wrong.
Nick is sweet, caring and has a hot dirty mouth.
Once the manwhore blinkers are removed from Tess's eyes she wants him and a hot relationship develops.
Sexy Jerk is a slow start to anything that had me excitedly or eagerly turning the pages except the hot sex scenes, a high percentage of the book is two people getting to know each other, figuring each other out, dating and discovering each others bodies.
Both characters are likeable, witty and are made for each other.
Tess wanted to start a new chapter in her life after her break up and she did all the way to a hea with Nick.
Sexy Jerk is a pleasant read told in dual pov's with no heavy angst or drama, an ideal Sunday read.

Noun: a difficult, or otherwise unfortunate situation.
Verb: pledge or solemnly promise. Be engaged to be married.
I promised myself to a man. Well, technically, I promised myself to a boy. We were eight years old. Neighbours. He gave me a Cheezel, pushed it onto my finger, and asked me to marry him.
I ate the Cheezel.
I also said, “Yes” but that we’d have to wait until we were thirty.
It was my thirtieth birthday last week and now he’s calling in that promise.
Seriously, Elliot Parker is insane if he thinks that an out of the blue private Facebook message stipulating the binding law of an oral contractual agreement is going to seal our twenty-two-year bullshit engagement.
I wonder if he really does look like his profile picture, though.
4 Cheezel stars
Twenty-two years ago I promised myself to a girl. We were eight years old. Neighbours. I gave her a Cheezel, pushed it on her finger, asked her to marry me.....
she also said "yes" but that we'd have to wait until she turned thirty.
Plight is a story with humor and heartwarming moments a perfect Rom-Com.
The beginning of Plight starts with Elliot contacting Danielle the week of her birthday through Facebook, reminding her of their pledge and it was time to pay up, stick to her promise.
Elliot you would think he'd be a serious guy being a high profile lawyer but he's not. Elliott is goofy yes especially with his factual quotes, he's funny and determined to make amends and make Danielle Cunningham his once best friend his again.
Danielle's fun, a likable character shares an apartment with a football star, has a pug dog called Dudley also known as pugley with behavior issues and definitely surprised when Elliott contacts her, thinking at first it's a joke.
A humorous series of events follow, an enjoyable read. Plight is a light-read told in dual pov's.
If you're looking for hot it's not that kind of read, disappointed about the sexual chemistry aspect in Plight but it is romantic funny, and a good second chances, childhood friends to lovers story.

Jude and I managed to salvage something beautiful from the war torn rubble of our lives, a blissful happiness that we paid for in blood. We fought our way here, leaving pieces of ourselves along the way. I thought this was the happily ever after in our twisted fairy tale, but I was wrong.
I may be free by definition. That freedom came at a heavy cost and my family is about to pay the price. At any moment, this façade will come crashing down. Hard. The life I've lived—that kind of world—it stains you, and no matter how hard you try, you can never escape its wrath. Not even in death.
Love. Fear. Loss.
We're walking a wire and all that's beneath us is destruction.
We once lived in paradise with our perfect family but fairy tales don't last and soon the monsters come crawling back.
WIRE IS A CONTINUATION OF WRONG AND WRATH.
Make sure you've read Wrong.
I feel like a fish right now, I open my mouth I close my mouth, I'm speechless.
Jude and Tor have been hidden away for two and a half years they have a perfect life by the sea with their daughter but with Jude still having connections with the Cartel it was only a matter of time before someone came Knocking and boy did they come knocking.
Russian mafia,Mexican Cartel, it seems Jude has many enemies and Tor wants only for her daughter to be safe.
A mother's love knows no bounds.
I missed Jude and Tor's love and passion for each other and as a reader your taken on a rocky roller-coaster ride yet again with angst, twists and turns, danger at every corner.
I'm speechless right now, sad I'm not sure how to digest or what to make out of the explosive ending that subtly leads to another book.
Anything can happen and I don't want to make assumptions, only put my hope for Tor and Jude and their daughter Cayla in the hands of these brilliant but devious authors.
This series is a definite recommendation to any reader who loves angst, action the grittiness within a mafia read and to be taken on a nail-biting ride.
Told in dual pov's, I can't tell you if this book was fast paced read or not only that I couldn't turn the pages quick enough.

Lauren Lovell is an indie author from England.
She suffers from a total lack of brain to mouth filter and is the friend you have to explain before you introduce her to anyone, and apologise for afterwards.
Lauren is a self-confessed shameless pervert, who may be suffering from slight peen envy.
LP loves to hear from readers so please get in touch.
STEVIE J. COLE
Stevie J. Cole lives deep in the woods of Alabama with her husband and two precious daughters. She studied Epidemiology concentrating on cancer research but has always had a passion for writing. Some of her stories will strip you bare, some will give you nightmares, but the one thing she can promise is that she will always give you stories that make you feel.
Raw. Gritty. Love.
Because sometimes characters need to be flawed.
P.S. Stevie's greatest fear is the impending zombie apocalypse. Think about it: swarming armies of decaying, oozing corpses stumbling around with clicking teeth, trying to eat your face. Nothing about that is good. NOTHING!
From the New York Times best-selling author of Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player, Book Two of the brand-new Wild Seasons series that started with Sweet Filthy Boy - a story of friends, love, and lust.
Despite their rowdy hookups, Harlow and Finn don't even like each other... which would explain why their marriage lasted only 12 hours. He needs to be in charge and takes whatever he wants. She lives by the Want-something-done? Do-it-yourself mantra. Maybe she's too similar to the rugged fisherman - or just what he needs.
This fisherman got his biggest catch yet!
Oh Wow! book two in this hot delicious series.
When a group of friends go to Vegas, 3 girls celebrating finishing college and 3 guys just out for a good time they least expected to each wake up in the morning with wedding rings on their fingers. What do they do? they simply get their weddings annulled, well all except Ansel & Mia and the glorious juicy details of their story is in book one.
They all remain friends, all see each other on a regular basis but maybe for this couple the annulment was a maybe a little hasty, they are so in denial, cant keep their hands of each other in private one minute then trying to carry on the facade as "Just friends" the next.
Harlow has a movie star mother and each of her parents work in the industry, she also wants to work in the industry not as a movie star but shes been in the industry along with her parents for so long wants to follow in her parents footsteps.
Harlow has an internship, only, her biggest tasks seem to be getting coffee at the moment, not what she imagined but doesn't have the kind of attitude that lets it bother her., she's an easy going kind of girl. Finn however is a down to earth guy with a serious stern side, he works on his family's boat the success of the business is in his hands, you can't help but picture him as the kind of hot guy you would see on the programme Deadliest catch.
While Finn seems to be a serious guy in this partnership, Harlow brings a lightness with her smart quick witted mouth and funny comebacks.
A friends to lovers romance with intensely hot scenes Finn is one dirty fisherman who knows other uses for rope.
A light-hearted read one that will have you hot and bothered, swooning, laughing and just enjoying the characters journey to love.
Another great read, looking forward to more loving this series.
Whitton ‘Skinny’ Thorne– scarred skin only covers a beautiful soul.
Bitter with a capital B.
Life has been hell from the beginning when Whitton was burned as an infant, yet as much as he pushes me away I’m always coming back for more.
When I finally let go, he wants to let me in, how do I survive when we’ve both been scarred?
***Each book in the Ruthless Rebels MC is a new couple, but are best read in order. This is a biker book so please expect violence, foul language, and sexual situations. Do not buy if any of this offends you.***
He Intrigued me. His strength captivated me and the more time I had with Whitton Thorne in my life, the harder I fell in love with him.
Scarred is the third book in the series, I love it. Great characters, Chelsea Camaron and Ryan Michele always deliver the right amount of hotness, angst and drama within a club setting were the MC have a true brother concept, look after their own, they all have their own hidden scars and pasts and are all great characters in not just this series but ones before I love this author duo.
Whitton or Skinny as he's known is no exception to the scarred past, he even bears the physical scars from his mother who attempted many times to kill him through her mental illness.
Roe was with him throughout his childhood and they had a childhood to adult romance one you would think would be forever except one night Whitton disappeared and didn’t return.
Life goes on only Roe could never move on, although Roe is now a teacher, in her love life she very much alone, her mind always wondering back to the scarred boy now a man out there somewhere.
Over 10 years later Whitton and Roe are unexpectedly reunited.
A story of second chances, fate and destiny within an MC setting.
This sexyalpha, hot dirty mouthed biker made his claim and wasn't letting his woman go again.
Another great addition to the series.

Some bad girls need a firm hand to keep them in line.
I’m bad enough to need two.
Two older men who can teach me a lesson when I misbehave.
Two hot bodies to keep me warm in bed at night.
Two best friends who can learn to share a filthy-mouthed little brat like me.
After all… dirty girls need very dirty daddies.
Carrie Wells is nothing but trouble.
She’s wild and difficult. Not worth anyone’s time.
Carrie Wells is a beautiful little brat. She’s also a vulnerable young adult on my case list.
She’s half my age and totally off limits. I’m breaking every rule in the book by giving her somewhere to stay when she’s out on the streets with nowhere to go. And I’m breaking every rule of friendship by holing her up in my best friend Jack’s house while he’s away on business.
I thought life was difficult enough when I fell for the girl, but it gets a whole lot harder when Jack comes home early and finds a beautiful stranger causing chaos in his house.
And a whole lot harder still when he falls for her too.
He’s the one guy on this planet I’d share my last supper with. I’d share it gladly.
I’m just not so sure how I feel about sharing Carrie Wells
Carrie Wells has a chip on her shoulder bigger than the file of case notes with her name on the cover.
Carrie Wells, misunderstood, labelled, nothing but a case file and disappointment to those who work for the foster care system and the town she came from. Shes a bag of backchat and bluster and shows no respect to anyone.
Michael is Carrie's case worker but his time has run out in a few days time Carrie will be homeless, no one wants her, no one wants to take this bag of trouble and attitude in but Michael see's Carrie for the young woman she is and he feels helpless in his job.
Carrie finds herself homeless, walking the streets and Michael finds himself in a position where he wants to help her, he is no longer her case worker and lets Carrie stay at his friends home while he is out of town.
Michael finds himself fighting his feelings and emotions, Carrie has really got under his skin since his first meeting with Carrie.
When Jack meets Carrie and gets to know her he finds himself in the same position too.
A battling of the minds begin, a journey of right or wrong, do we? don't we? Carrie being the minx she is makes no secret of wanting both of these men who have taken her under their wings, Carrie begins to change and she seems more peaceful, more happy being with Michael and Jack and in a matter of time all Jack and Michael's feelings of adoration and love let the lust win out with their dirty little girl.
Dirty Daddies was not what I expected at all, Jade really did a brilliant job of allowing the reader to get to know the characters, understand the situations, Carries background and the reasoning for her behaviour, her outbursts her wanting to be loved and it was a slow progression to anything sexual to which I am so pleased about.
I'll be honest, I expected something dirty, hot and just sex, two grown men taking advantage of a vulnerable girl, but there was more depth to the story and that made me appreciate Jades writing style even more.
Yes its hot, yes it contains M/F/M which isn't my normal kind of read and no it wan't what i expected at all.
Told in each persons pov. Dirty Daddies is a guilty pleasure kind of read with characters you can't help but warm to.

Disgrace: the condition of one fallen from grace.
She is my forbidden fruit. The one temptation I cannot resist.
The first night…
I rescued her from an attack in the seedy underground of New York City.
The second night…
She told me the first of many lies.
She thinks she can keep me out of her world, but she’s in over her head. Watching her, being near her, it gives breath to something dark inside me. Something primal and forbidden. Forbidden to me.
Because in six months, I’ll be an ordained priest.
And she complicates things.
She thinks she is my disgrace. Truth is, my fall had begun the moment I’d laid eyes on her.
She is my forbidden fruit. The one temptation I cannot resist
Well after Dishonourable, I wanted Damon and Lina's story and oh how Natasha Knight delivered!
Lina is the younger sister of Sophia and Damon the twin brother of Raphael from the previous book.
Damon intrigued me he comes across as the complete opposite of Raphael who has a dark edge whereas Damon seems more sensible, hes training to be a priest when we first meet him and when Sophia first takes Lina in she is only in her teens and Damon and Lina seem to have a connection, he cares for her and with all that is going on in the last story he takes her under his wing.
A curios friendship develops but now years later Lina living in New York and Damon due to be ordained as a Priest she is the welcomed distraction Damon wasn't expecting when they bump into each other in a piano bar where Lina is the pianist.
Two souls who were always meant to be together, who went through hell and back to get here.
I think that sentence sums this book up justly. Damon finds Lina in a position she can't get out of with yet another mafia boss her stubbornness of wanting to deal with it on her own has her in danger and Damon tries to protect her.
Damon comes across as anything but a priest with his dirty sexy mouth Lina is the temptation he just can't resist.
Damon: She woke something inside me that left me feeling out of control. That had my heart beating fast, that made my heart pump blood hard through my veins.
Disgraced has twists and turns, suspense,it's sexy, dangerous and alluring.
Raphael and Sophia also makes an appearance in this book so you get a glimpse of their happily ever after all over again, but ...... oh yes, there's more, there's another brother, I know fan me down, and hes mysterious too, I cannot wait for his story.
A captivating plot from beginning to end. Told in dual pov's. Although this links to the previous book and is recommended you read from the beginning to get a better idea of the series of events it can be read as a standalone.

To everyone who knows him, West Ashby has always been that guy: the cocky, popular, way-too-handsome-for-his-own-good football god who led Lawton High to the state championships. But while West may be Big Man on Campus on the outside, on the inside he’s battling the grief that comes with watching his father slowly die of cancer.
Two years ago, Maggie Carleton’s life fell apart when her father murdered her mother. And after she told the police what happened, she stopped speaking and hasn’t spoken since. Even the move to Lawton, Alabama, couldn’t draw Maggie back out. So she stayed quiet, keeping her sorrow and her fractured heart hidden away.
As West’s pain becomes too much to handle, he knows he needs to talk to someone about his father—so in the dark shadows of a post-game party, he opens up to the one girl who he knows won’t tell anyone else.
West expected that talking about his dad would bring some relief, or at least a flood of emotions he couldn’t control. But he never expected the quiet new girl to reply, to reveal a pain even deeper than his own—or for them to form a connection so strong that he couldn’t ever let her go…
Finished with a sigh, such a sweet story.
Abbi Glines, gotta love her books, I always thoroughly enjoy them, they always provoke all the feels and Until Friday night is no different.
You want to relax unwind with a good book, lock the world away and just absorb someone else's story then Abbi Glines always delivers.
A high school romance. West Ashby is the typical Jock, popular with the girls.
Maggie is the quiet girl, the new girl who has come to live with her aunt, she doesn't talk, she experienced a horrific tragic experience and hasn't talked since.
West and Maggie become close when West struggles with the impending death of his father, he turns to Maggie his best friends cousin, there's a silent understanding at first, West knows she has suffered at the loss of her parents and Maggie knows what he is going through. When Maggie first meets West at the field party she saw sees past the playboy image and just sees the pain in his eyes.
A friendship blossoms and eventually becomes more as both help each other, heal each other.
Until Friday night is the kind of read that you will swoon over, sigh over, smile over and rejoice over.
I loved it, another heartfelt and thoughtful read by Abbi Glines.
