Romantic in a crazy stalker sort of way.
Christmas works at the shopping center, yes Christmas is a person, Nic owns it, he first sees Christmas on a surveillance monitor he was browsing from his mansion and she instantly becomes his obsession so much Nic decides he has to have Christmas.
Another absurd insta love story told in good o'l Alexa Riley style with a good play on names Christmas Winter and Nicholas light, only in Alexa Riley books right? I love it.
Stealing Christmas is fun, hot and I liked it.
Christmas Winter is lucky she loves this time of year, because her name didn’t give her much of a choice. She’s always bubbly and happy. So when she takes a job as an elf in the mall, she’s excited to spread some cheer. But Christmas could never expect what happens when she catches the eye of a stranger.
Nicholas Light owns everything he sees, and when his eyes land on the new elf in his mall’s Santa exhibit, he knows she’s no different. There’s something about her sweet innocence that he has to have, and he’ll concoct a plan to make that happen.
Warning: Grab your jingle bells and swing them over your head… This holiday quickie is gonna light up your Noel. Okay, none of that made sense. But it sounded festive, right? This book is adorable, and you’ll love it. Just don’t get tinsel stuck in the wrong places. Trust us.
Stealing Christmas is LIVE! Snatch up some spirit!! ❤️🎄
I think my last Tillie Cole book was The Hades Hangmen series so this was such a contrast to that and shows how versatile Tillie is with her writing.
Veil of vines I found to be heartwarming with a historic romance feel, told in dual pov's by both characters who were both beautiful in there own way.
The whole book was almost poetic an ideal read for curling up with on a lazy day and getting lost in the lives of the characters.
Veil of vines reminded me of Archers voice by mia Sheridan and Predestined hearts By Kelly Elliott, completely different story's but it just had that feel to it.
Recommended romance read.
Two halves now one whole.
To most people, princes, princesses, counts and dukes are found only in the pages of the most famous of fairytales. Crowns, priceless jewels and gilded thrones belong only in childhood dreams.
But for some, these frivolous fancies are truth.
For some, they are real life.
On Manhattan’s Upper East Side, people have always treated me as someone special. All because of my ancestral name and legacy. All because of a connection I share to our home country’s most important family of all.
I am Caresa Acardi, the Duchessa di Parma. A blue blood of Italy. I was born to marry well. And now the marriage date is set.
I am to marry into House Savona. The family that would have been the royals had Italy not abolished the monarchy in 1946. But to the aristocrats of my home, the abolition means nothing at all.
The Savonas still hold power where it counts most.
In our tight-knit world of money, status and masked balls, they are everything and more.
And I am soon to become one of them.
I am soon to become Prince Zeno Savona’s wife…
… or at least I was, until I met Achille.
And everything changed.
I opened the window beside me and stared at the illuminated entrance. I swallowed hard and placed my empty glass on the bar. Metal groaned, breaking through the twilight, as the massive black wrought-iron gates began to open. The limo slowly pulled onto the property’s lane, and I drank in the thick forest that shielded the estate. I inhaled the freshness of the lush green trees. The unpolluted sky was thick with stars—not a single cloud in sight.
A few minutes later, the thick woods cleared, and I gasped. Acres and acres of gold and green vineyards covered the landscape. The scents of plump grapes and damp soil permeated the warm air. I closed my eyes. It reminded me of being a child. It brought me back to the days before I was taken to New York. I could still feel the heat of the Emilia-Romagna sun on my face, the deep smell of olives, grapes and flowers drifting in the breeze as I ran around our Parma estate.
I smiled a nostalgic smile and allowed my eyes to drift open again. I rested my arms on the window and leaned my chin on them as the limo drove on. There were several small villas peppered over the landscape, their lights twinkling in the distance. They must have been the winemakers’ residences. It was not only the Bella Collina merlot that was made on this land; other reds were too—particularly the Chianti from the region’s finest Sangiovese grapes. The Bella Collina olive oil was also up there with the best. But nothing compared to the famed merlot.
The limo turned right, and my breath caught in my throat. I lifted my head and stared disbelievingly at the property ahead. Bella Collina was a veritable Palace of Versailles tucked away in the Umbrian wilderness.
“Mio Dio,” I whispered as I took in the imposing stone structure, the sweeping steps and the vast number of windows set in the building’s walls. Large pillars of red-veined marble flanked the entrance. Cypress trees framed the estate as if it were the shining star of a fine Renaissance painting. Sculptures of famed Savona monarchs of old stood proudly on the manicured lawns, and strategically placed lighting illuminated the sheer perfection of every piece of topiary.
As a child, I had been to the Palazzo Savona in Florence. It was widely regarded to be one of the finest estates in all of Italy, if not western Europe. But this . . . this . . . there were no words. It was perfectly placed, as if it had always been there. As if it had grown naturally from the Umbrian earth just as sure as the vines and woods that kept this architectural treasure hidden from view.
Now Live On All Platforms.
5 End game stars.
I couldn't put this book down, just when the plot was on steady ground something else would happen that would have me on edge again.
The story begins with Ellie in High school a young girl living with her aunt and progresses into falling for her teenage crush and then takes you through her teen years, her relationship woes and her highs and lows after heartbreak.
He was sunshine and moonlight, sandy beaches and salty air. He was happy laughter and sexy smiles. He was my best friend, my lover and everything good in this world and believe me, few things were ever good in my world.
5 years later and Ellie has encountered love and loss, heartache and pain while being surrounded by amazing friends who are all great secondary characters.
From past to present, Ellie now in her twenties and still struggling to move on from her past and from feelings of abandonment and pain.
I loved His End Game told in Ellie's pov. The characters and plot the angst and dramas, everything that kept me turning the pages eagerly.
Some activities of the characters and events had me angry with the characters and gave me a feeling of sypathy for Ellie and that's great story telling, when an author can draw an emotion from a reader.
A brilliant read with twists and turns, drama and contains all I love in a contemporary read.
This is my first book by this author and I am looking forward to reading more about the other characters.
Ellie Davis has finally begun to mend the pieces of her shattered heart. With a new job slinging drinks behind the bar at Charlotte’s latest hot spot and a crush on her deliciously sexy bar manager things are finally starting to look up.
New job plus new man equals the perfect anecdote to help Ellie forget all about bad boy Max McLellan…or so she thinks.
This is Ellie’s journey and it isn’t always pretty.
It isn’t always neat.
It isn’t always happy.
But it’s hers.

If I wrote a song for you, this would be it. Max held out his hand. Dance with me?” I wanted to cry. I didn’t want him to go. I wanted forever. He was sunshine and moonlight, sandy beaches and salty air. He was happy laughter and sexy smiles. He was my best friend, my lover, my heart…He was everything good in this world, and believe me, few things were ever good in my world. I didn’t want to lose him, but would never begrudge him this experience.
I took his hand. “We’ve never danced together, have we?”
“This is just the first of many, Ellison Davis,” he murmured, pressing his lips to mine.
“I like the sound of that,” I said against his mouth. We danced for the remainder of the song and just when I thought it was over, it began again.

5 Stars for over the top, alpha possessiveness, insta love and hotness.
Great characters in each story and as part of the Ghost Riders MC you still see other characters in each book you read although each individually focuses on the main characters of the story and told in dual pov's.
My favourite series from Alexa Riley but I do love my MC reads. I would recommend this box set which is a good mix of hot or quick Alpha biker reads.
Ghost Riders bundle is LIVE!!
Welcome to the Ghost Riders Motorcycle Club…where you’ll find happily ever afters, no cheating, and sugary-sweet alphas that love to get on their knees.
This gritty series is one of our favorites and includes some of the best Alexa Riley characters ever!
This bundle includes Pulling her Trigger, Beauty and the Biker, Letting Her Lead, Pulling His Trigger, and Riding Him.
If you’ve never read it, now’s the time. Grab the complete series by the handles and saddle up. It’s safe, dirty, and ready to ride…just like your mom. Sorry, we’re immature
Jo Raven does it again, beautiful ending for the damaged boys and their girls.
Previous books within the series of Inked Brotherhood to be read first before this conclusion to the series. If you haven't read previous books Jo Ravens inked brotherhood is a must for those who like a good backstory and Strong female characters where the heroin saves the Hero
Told in multiple pov's each couple having their own chapters and their own pov's.
Now with babies in tow and weddings to look forward to there should be happiness and laughter but one of the boys is fighting demons from the past and when one goes down they all fight to get him back up, these boys and now with their women all stick together and fight for one of the brotherhood.
Family stick together, a family not by blood but loyalty and love. I have loved this mantra throughout the series.
A brilliantly balanced plot with the same theme running throughout as they all come together to help Zane.
With fan me down hot moments, family times and humour, I just love Jo Ravens writing style and her story's that contain all you could want from a contemporary romance read.
Contains talks of sexual abuse as Zane faces his nightmares and past which thankfully leads to a justified and heartwarming hea for all.
looking forward to more from Jo Raven with the hopes of another generation I know I will love.
Another great read.

Five brothers in all but blood, five girls who love them, emerging from a past fraught with darkness and danger. There are wedding bells, and baby cries and laughter all around. They have found their happy ending.
Only one cloud is marring these blue skies, and it has to do with Zane, the rock of the Brotherhood. Nobody knows exactly what is wrong, but here’s the thing, folks:
There are five of us, and we stand all for one and one for all. If you messed with one of us, you’ve messed with all of us. We protect our own.
And Zane is more than one of our own. He’s our leader. He’s our steady center. If our center shatters, we all shatter.
This Brotherhood is strong. We’re gonna find out what troubles him and put it to rest, once and for all, bury it, stomp on it, crush it until it’s fixed or gone.
Time we celebrated our happy ending.
This is the epilogue to Inked Brotherhood.
Best read after the series Inked Brotherhood and its spin-off Damage Control. (

An enjoyable read
I liked Harper and Slates story. Told in third person, my preference is normally dual pov so I would of liked the more personal thoughts and feelings you get from first person but I still enjoyed it.
Harper is on her first job as an escort, a job she has taken to help pay her way through her study's.
Slate is the drummer of The Black Lilith and hires an escort to be a fake girlfriend for a family wedding.
Make Me is an interesting plot with likeable characters. I haven't read previous books and although this can be read as a standalone I didn’t think it gave to much away about the other characters and I would out of interest read the previous books.
Make Me is a light and fun read leading to hea, no heavy dramas or angst, includes great main and secondary characters that I would love to read more about in the next book from the series.

Harper Styles can’t believe she’s really doing this. It’s one thing to take a job as an escort to pay her way through college. It’s another thing to fly to Ohio and pretend to be some stranger’s girlfriend so he can get through a wedding without his family climbing all over him.
She’s outside of the airport when she meets possibly the most beautiful man she’s ever seen. Later, in the first class lounge, she realizes that this man is her client—Slate, world-famous drummer for Black Lilith.
Slate needs a girlfriend to deflect his parents’ attention from his womanizing, rockstar lifestyle. Unable to convince his best friends to lend him their girlfriends, he’s resorted to hiring an escort to pretend to be his lover and smooth the rough relationship he has with his family.
She asks him for his real name, but he gives her a coy smile that makes her weak at the knees. He also makes it absolutely clear that he will not sleep with a woman he’s paying. As long as she’s technically his employee, he will not take advantage. But the chemistry between them is immediate.
Harper can be anything a man needs, but she’s starting to realize that what Slate really needs is a woman to break through his walls.

Harper needs a smoke before she kills someone.
Her fingers shake a little as she steps out of the cab and onto the curb outside of JFK Airport. She’d spent most of the drive staring out the window, desperate for something--
Anything to calm her nerves. But they just got louder and more insistent when she starting seeing planes in the air and buses with ‘Airport Express’ written on them. She was really doing this.
The cabby hands her the purple carry-on she’d packed hastily that morning. She thanks him. It’s a bit chilly, even for New York in March, and she pulls her coat tighter around her neck as she fishes in her back pocket for the cabby’s tip.
“Thanks, sweetheart,” he says, giving her a wink.
For a moment Harper panics. Does he know? Is he expecting--
But then he’s gone, and Harper forces herself to relax. She’s got a heavy black jacket on, and beneath it is a simple flannel and blue jeans. Her black hair is done in gentle waves. She deliberately went for an all-American girl look this morning, even forgoing makeup beyond a little light concealer to hide the sleepless night she’d had. No one can tell what she’s doing here. And even if they could, there’s nothing to be ashamed of. Lots of girls take jobs to put themselves through college, and even though this job isn’t the sort of job she’d tell her grandmother about, she refuses to let herself feel ashamed, or dirty, or any of the other words that come to mind when people hear the word ‘escort.’
God, I need that smoke.
She heads for the Departures door and makes a quick detour to the gaggle of people waiting outside, their shoulders hunched in the cold and their fingers curled around cigarettes. There’s a garbage bin overflowing with butts and a general air of desperation as these people suck up as much nicotine as they can before they have to get on a flight. Harper isn’t addicted—she’s a casual, nervous smoker. No personal trainer worth her salt would have anything more than a casual fling with cigarettes.
Harper pulls a packet out of her purse. The lighter she brought with her is a cheap throwaway since she knows she won’t be able to get it through security. She can buy a new one when she arrives in Iowa.
She’s never been to Iowa before. She had to Google it last night when her boss-madame—she doesn’t know what to call Angelica Spencer—telephoned to tell her that she’d be getting on a plane in the morning. That her first job as an escort would be literally escorting someone to a wedding of all things, and parading as the man’s girlfriend for his friends and family. Harper thinks he must be some kind of big deal since Angelica emailed her an NDA to sign before giving her the plane ticket. The contract didn’t say his name. It just referred to him as ‘the client.’ But whoever he is, Harper feels kind of bad for him.
Is he one of those social outcasts who can’t get a date?
Her lighter won’t work. She keeps flicking it, her fingers shaking with a combination of nerves and cold, and she mutters under her breath as the damn thing spouts sparks but no flames. The cigarette remains unlit between her lips and she almost wants to cry with frustration. This is not the time for this damn lighter to stop working!
“Need a hand?”
Harper looks up at the voice and feels her jaw drop.
The man in front of her is quite frankly—stunning. He’s hidden most of his body under a heavy suede jacket, but Harper’s been working to be a personal trainer for half her life, so she knows an impressive specimen when she sees one. His biceps bulge beneath the fabric, and she doesn’t need to look any closer to know that there are some rock-hard abs hidden under all of his clothes. He looks like the kind of man that guys at the gym keep posters of for inspiration.
But the body is only half of it. His face is strongly defined and casually handsome. Model worthy, she thinks, and sweet Lord what she wouldn’t give to see this guy in an underwear campaign. He’s got blond hair which looks a couple of days away from needing a wash, and eyes the color of dark chocolate.
She realizes she’s staring when those eyes flicker down to the cigarette still dangling from her lips. She recognizes that he’s holding a lighter and it’s immediately clear that she’s acting like an idiot.
“Oh, thanks,” she says, hastily throwing her own cheap lighter in the garbage behind her.
She turns back and the man extends his hand. He flicks the lighter quickly and the flame launches without a problem. Harper gazes at it for just a moment before leaning forward, sucking in a breath of smoke and mint as the cigarette catches light. She glances up and catches him staring at her lips, which are fuller than average and one of her best features.
“Thank you,” she says again, drawing away and taking another drag of smoke, enjoying the way his eyes never leave her mouth. She pulls the cigarette from her lips and blows out a long stream of smoke.
“Pleasure’s all mine,” he replies. Harper grins at the obvious double entendre. “Don’t suppose I can bum a smoke?”
Harper hands him the packet she’s still holding. He takes it from her and their fingers brush, and Harper shivers because neither of them are wearing gloves. He’s got chipped black nail polish, which usually isn’t much of a turn on for Harper, but on this guy it is. Hell, this guy could probably stand there in a unicorn onesie and she’d find it a turn on. He really is a beautiful man.
He lights his cigarette, seemingly exaggerating the movement of his lips and watching her the whole time. Harper obliges him by admiring the show he’s giving her.
“Thank you,” he says, blowing out a stream of smoke and handing her back the packet.
“Pleasure’s all mine,” she replies as she shoves it back into her bag.
He laughs easily. It’s a deep, chesty laugh. If it weren’t for the smoke coming out of his lips, she would have thought that he was a singer. But singers don’t smoke. Then again, she’s going to be a personal trainer, so she isn’t exactly in a position to judge.
“Are you a singer?” she asks.
He frowns with his eyebrows, but the rest of his face smiles. “No,” he says. “Why do you ask?”
“You have a nice voice.”
He stops frowning. “Thank you,” he replies, delighted. “So do you. But I’m not a singer, I’m a drummer.”
“Oh,” Harper says. She observes his muscles again, wondering if it’s a combination of carrying and beating drums that gave them to him. “Professional?”
“On my better days.” He blows out a lungful of air. Even though they’re surrounded by people, Harper feels like it’s just the two of them. He has this way of looking at her which makes her feel as though she’s endlessly fascinating.
“Must be nice.”
“It keeps me off the streets.”
They smile at each other. Harper can’t remember the last time she felt this easy with a guy. She doesn’t think it’s just his smooth moves. Since she moved to New York, she’s had plenty of men give her nice smiles and let their eyes linger. She’s pretty enough, with a slim figure thanks to her routine, but with one of those ‘girl next door’ faces that she despised in high school, but has since become a blessing and a curse. It makes her approachable.
This guy, for some reason, isn’t just flirting which wouldn’t be enough to set him apart from the others who have flirted with her in the past. He’s giving her the courage to flirt back, though how he’s managing it she can only guess. Usually, she’s looking at her feet, wondering what a man wants, wondering whether she wants him, and wondering if there’s something she’s missing or if it’s all a joke. Usually, she needs to know a guy before being flirty with him, which is why she’s only ever dated friends. Men she knew through mutual acquaintances who weren’t afraid to take the lead in romance. But this man just makes her want to smile and keep smiling, and ask him if he wants to get dinner and a movie, like some high school movie cliché.
“What about you?” he asks.
“I’m tone-deaf…” she says, “…and I can’t keep a beat for anything.”
He grins. “I meant what do you do for a living?” he asks.
I have sex with people for money.
Not technically true. She hasn’t had sex for money yet.
Today is her first time—her first client. And she could just tell him that she’s a personal trainer even though she’s not certified. Yet. Only one year left, and if the mountain of student loans weren’t looming over her like a monster from a fairy-tale, she would have been excited about it. Instead, here she is, getting ready to board a plane with a stranger and fly to Iowa with him. He’ll probably keep her ‘working’ all weekend. She wishes she’d asked Angelica to give her a one-nighter first. A man who just wanted to fuck and leave. How is she supposed to pretend to be a man’s girlfriend in front of his family if she doesn’t know him?
Thinking about that makes her look at her watch. When she sees the time, she panics.
“Shit,” she says, taking one last drag of her cigarette and throwing the butt in the garbage. The man she was talking to looks confused. “Sorry… I’ve got to, ah… sorry…”
She grabs her purple carry-on bag and speed-walks toward the doors.
“Hey, wait!” the guy calls after her.
“I gotta go I’m gonna be late—”
“What’s your name?”
Despite her instincts—she’s never going to see him again, what’s the point in looking back—she turns her head to see him watching her go in confusion. He’s still got the cigarette in his hand. Now that she’s looking at him from a distance, she realizes he’s got a battered brown backpack at his feet.
“Harper!” she calls back before she can think of a reason not to. She’s never going to see him again. And it’s just a first name. But it feels good to think that he’ll have something to call her in his head if he ever thinks about her again. All she’ll have is ‘the sexy drummer,’ which is maybe for the best considering what she’s about to do.
Then she’s passing through the doors and all but running to the check-in counter. She’s got a client to meet at the bar of the American Airlines lounge, and she can’t afford to be late.
She checks her ticket again to make sure she hadn’t dreamed up the First Class designation. Whoever her client is, he’s generous enough to buy a hooker an expensive seat.
Stop calling yourself that. You’re an escort, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
She repeats the sentiment over and over as she joins the First Class queue at the American Airlines desk, though there’s a small part of her that wonders if the men surrounding her in business suits can tell. Maybe she shouldn’t have gone for all-American. Maybe high class would have helped her blend in more.
Her ticket is under her own name. Harper Lee Styles. Her mother thought ‘Harper Lee’ was a good idea at the time. But Harper reminds herself that she will need to introduce herself as Tiffany. That’s the name Angelica picked out for her.
What a cliché, she thinks to herself as she hands over her ID and is waved through to security clearance.
A few minutes in security and an aggressive pat down from one of the lady guards, and she’s speed-walking to the American Airlines airport lounge. She checks her watch again and breathes a sigh of relief. She’s early. She doesn’t need to meet her client for another ten minutes.
She slows down so she can savor this moment. It’s not every day she gets to go into an airport lounge. She wishes her mom and dad could see her now. Then she remembers how she got the First Class seat, and decides that it’s probably best they can’t. She just wishes she’d finished that cigarette.
The lounge is all done up in blue and white and the chairs look ridiculously comfy. There’s a free buffet along the wall with fruits, vegetables, and a pasta salad that looks particularly tempting, and it’s completely deserted. Harper wonders where the rest of the people in the First Class line at the check-in desk are. She shows the bored-looking woman at the reception her ticket. She expects to get some sort of third degree, but the woman just waves her through with a sigh. Harper steps tentatively into the lounge, realizes that no one’s going to come and kick her out, and then she relaxes. She even allows a small smile to grace her face.
At the back of the room, a long black bar beckons. The back wall has a mirror which is obscured by every kind of hard liquor she can imagine. She resists the urge to order something really strong because she needs her wits about her if she’s going to do this.
It’s not just the expectation of flirting, though that is something she dreads, there’s the sex part as well. She’s no blushing virgin, not by a long shot. It’ll just feel… she isn’t sure how it’ll feel. Maybe like it’s hanging over her? Like he’ll be expecting her to start stripping the moment, they get somewhere private, and she’ll have no choice because he’s paid for her? She doesn’t know if she’ll be able to cope with that. Will he expect her to fuck him on the plane?
“Something to drink, Miss?” the bartender asks. She looks younger than Harper but is obviously old enough to serve alcohol.
“Ah… just water, please,” Harper replies.
“You sure? We’ve got champagne.”
Harper’s stomach churns at the thought. “Just water, please.”
Gazing at the mirror while the bartender pours the drink, Harper begins to wonder what her client will look like. The thought is immediately cut off when she sees the sexy drummer’s reflection in the mirror.
She spins around on her stool, clutching the bar for support. How did… what did, she can’t even form the thoughts.
He gazes around the lounge, apparently looking for something. Then his eyes fall on her and he blinks for a moment, before grinning. He starts to make his way over to her and Harper begins to panic. He’d looked confused for a moment like he wasn’t expecting her, but what if he’d followed her there? What if he’s still talking to her when her client shows up? She can’t afford to be seen with another man when she’s already been bought and paid for.
She opens her mouth, but he cuts her off.
“Tiffany?” he asks, his lips turning up in a crooked smile.
Harper’s heart pounds in her chest. No way, she thinks, no way.
“Yes?” she replies hesitantly.
He sticks out his hand, with its chipped polish and leather cuffs which she hadn’t noticed until now. “I’m Slate. I’m your client
The monster and I are friends....
He's let's me live my life as Donovan James for many years, being ok with only coming to the surface from time to time however I enjoy the time he gets to play.
Darkness within is a dark read with twist and turns told in Donovan's pov, he's a serial killer with a purpose a list of victims but his list keeps growing.
Donovan has an abused childhood, and a list full of payback he intends to complete.
Darkness Within has its hot moments but it's not a romance like I normally read it focuses more on Donovan's task, it's a steady paced read and well written.
Unfortunately not enough relationship content for me but those who love more of a read with the crime and suspense dominating the plot will enjoy.
The moment it happens, everything in me changes.
Imagine somebody was able to fit inside of your body. Their arms are the same length as yours. You’re both the same height. Everything is exactly the same. Now imagine that person not being a person at all. That thing inside of you is a shadow. Darkness. A silhouette of you, only living on the inside of your body. It doesn’t have a conscious. It doesn’t have a heart. Nothing within that darkness is remotely human. Its only goal is to take over your body. It fights against your muscles. It tries breaking through the skin. It wants to replace you. That’s what it feels like when the darkness that lives inside me starts trying to get out.
I feel it happening. The pressure builds. My skin prickles. And the only thing that tames it, getting it back to resting peacefully inside me, is to unleash it. I have to let it wreak havoc, and I quite enjoy the mayhem.
Analeigh Price comes into my life and does the one thing I hate; question me about my past. She can pretend she wants to get to know me all she wants, but she’s not ready for the truth. I won’t become a better person for her, because I am who I am. She can't fix me, because my wounds are unfixable.
You see, I’m not like everybody else. Oh, no. I’m different. My humanity was stripped from me long ago, and those who are responsible are about to be paid a visit. You’ve never heard a story like mine, because I’m unlike anyone you’ve ever met. I’m no hero. I’m the guy you don’t want to piss off, because once the darkness within me is unleashed, it’ll be too late to get away.
What’s my name? It’s Donovan. Donovan James. But the darkness is taking over, and it’s only good at one thing, so I must go.

Detective Jarrod Granger and his partner are on a case to find a serial killer & psychopath.
Red Snow is a steady going read told in Jarrod's pov. Jarrod shares his personal life including hot moments from his hook ups and feelings for his ex Stacey along with his thoughts and feelings on the case he is trying to solve as more women are found dead, women who are victims of brutal crimes and Jarrod desperately wants to find the killer.
A plot with a difference, there is also the disturbing thoughts of Jeffrey the killer as he also shares his pov.
Both Jarrod and his partner Marcus are on a mission to find the killer and as the plot progresses they get closer to finding their man.
Fans of reads with mystery, crime and suspense will enjoy Red Snow.
I personally enjoy more relationship content but it was a good read.
My name is Detective Jarrod Granger, and you can say what you want about me. Call me arrogant, call me cocky, call me a man-whore, call me a renegade, call me a loose cannon. But one thing you can never say about me is that I don't get the job done.
I've dedicated my entire rocky, sex-fueled, tumultuous life to bringing down bad guys. I may not be able to keep a relationship, I may bounce from woman to woman like it’s some sort of competition, I may screw and drink like there’s no tomorrow, but if you're a criminal and on my radar, you're the one who’s screwed.
So when a woman is brutally murdered, decapitated, and put on display like a snowman in front of an elementary school, there's no other choice on who can handle it.
This kind of case requires someone willing to break the rules, someone who'll go the extra mile. It requires someone cocky, someone confident. A loose cannon. Because only someone whose life is a boiling hot mess of sex, liquor, and violence will be willing to do what it takes to hunt this killer down.
Sometimes it takes a man straddling the line between sane and crazy to catch a psycho.

Book 7 in the series and this is Jace's story
*Could be read as a stand alone and although this is part of a rock-star series there is no on tour or gigs etc although if you have been following the series you will be aware who Jace is with the bad. kadence is just Jace's personal story and how he finds love
Jace is such a sweet baby daddy, I loved him in this book.
QUIVERING LIP ALERT
The beginning of Kadence is so bittersweet, heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.
After 7 years Jace finds out he's a dad from a secret pregnancy and that his teen sweetheart and love of his life is dying and has hours left to live all in one breath.
Sydney left and didn’t tell Jace she was pregnant so Jace could pursue his career, a selfless and selfish act in one.
Such a sad beginning to the story which brought a tear to my eye but it was a beautiful ending for Sydney.
As the plot progresses Kadence Jace's 6 year old little girl brings joy to the family, all the characters I love are present from previous books, Kadence is a beautiful addition to the already big and warm family of both bands and the Manzini's.
Summer is a social worker and is assigned to assess Jace with Kadence.
This isn't Summers first encounter with Jace. Summer was the one that got away the one Jace often thought of and the girl who never called, So Jace was surprised when she announced herself as the social worker.
I love all these characters and I love this series, Jace is such a great dad and it was a beautiful part of the plot to see Jace find Kadence and Summer.
Sometimes you find family where you least expect it...
When bass guitarist Jace Warner receives an urgent message from his high school sweetheart to come home, the rocker drops what he's doing to get there. Finding out that his first love, the girl that stole his heart, is dying isn't the biggest shock he receives. The bad boy rocker has a child, and now, he's about to be her only living parent.
After bonding with Kadence, his 6-year-old daughter, Jace knows there's only one thing he wants to be--a father. But that's not going to be as easy as it seems. Social worker, Summer Stephens doesn't deem Jace's lifestyle fit for parenting. She believes the stereotypes about rockers--that their lives are all about sex, drugs, and rock & roll.
Now it's up to Jace to convince Summer that Kadence is right where she belongs--at home with him at CFD. He's facing a fierce battle trying to prove there's room in his life for music and the daughter he wants to share it all with.
Will Summer realize that home is where you make it, and if she looks close enough, she just might see a family for herself?
Wow! I feel like my minds been taken through the dark funnel of a tornado.
Ker Dukey and K Webster,I said it in my review of Pretty Stolen Dolls and ile say it again, you two ladies are creative brilliance, combined you are evil plotting genious's
I couldn't even sum up the plot, there are so many twists and turns I got dizzy.
Have you ever touched another’s soul with the essence of your own, breathed them in so they become apart of you?

Dropping my guard and letting another into my heart.

Pretty Lost Dolls is a continuation of Pretty Stolen Dolls. It's intense, filled with suspense, gritty dark and raw, contains scenes of rape and it had me cringing more than once.
Told in the pov's of Dillon, Jade and Benny as Jade's nightmare journey continues.
You know that feeling you have when you're watching a horror film, clutching the cushion blocking your view, you don't want to watch but have a compelling need to want know what happens.

This is a Dark title with adult themes
From Bestselling Authors Ker Dukey & K Webster comes,
Pretty Stolen Dolls.
Benny loves his pretty little dolls.
As long as they do exactly as they're told.
He keeps them perfect by brushing their hair
and gives them pretty dresses to wear.
He likes to toy with them late at night.
One so timid but the other likes to fight.
When his favorite doll runs away...
despite the other doll promising to stay,
his heart becomes broken and he can't help but cry.
He wants her back home or his pretty little doll must die.
Have you ever had to make a decision that haunts you every single day for the rest of your life…the life you stole back?
I ran for my survival, rocks and twigs cutting into the soles of my feet, my lungs burning and screaming for rest, every muscle tensed and fighting along with me for existence.
I left her.
I ran, ran, ran—from Benny and his lone, pretty little doll—until I couldn’t remember where to find them again.
I loved this a lottle
Spiralling Skywards Fading is a continuation of Spiralling Skywards Falling.
From the first chapters I was taken to the beautiful and heartwarming occasion of Sarah and Liam's wedding, the start of their journey as man and wife surrounded by friends and family, a day full of promises and drenched in love.
From there life happens, reality of life takes over, the wedding bliss becomes a fading memory, Liam throws himself into his business as Sarah becomes a baby machine and slowly loses herself.
Liam: She was fading away right in front of me and I didn't even see it.
I love Lesley Jones ability to take me there with the characters, to feel the emotions, the hurts, the happy, the bliss and the heartache.
Sarah and Liam's journey could be anyone of us, at times things can get to real, to hard and the blessings need to be celebrated and this is a story that completely swept me away.
As husbands go, Liam still made me swoon, this sweet talking Aussie still had it.
"You could be covered in upchuck from head to toe Sarah Delaney but I will still love you a lottle. You will forever remain my pretty girl".
The whole story is told in past tense as though your looking back on Sarah and Liam's memories and then finally taken to the present. Other characters are present throughout the plot that were also in the first book.
I can't wait for other books in this series, Sasha and Luke especially, I did miss Will in this, he was once a big part of Sarah's life but I understood why he wasn't present.
Another brilliant and beautiful read and a heartfelt journey of two of my favourite characters by Lesley Jones.
"I love you a lottle Aussie husband"
"love you a lottle more"
From the outside looking in, Sarah and Liam’s bond has been unbreakable since the moment they first laid eyes on each other. Love, romance, and friendship should form the ropes that tether them together. But when old insecurities rise to the surface, Sarah loses sight of her self-worth and feels her identity fading. Faced with a choice that threatens to fray those ties, she finally begins to unravel. Until one day, those ropes snap, that bond is broken, and their relationship sent spiralling off course.

Read Spiralling Skywards Book #1 : Falling TODAY!
It only takes one defining moment.
Sarah knows from the second she meets Liam that their connection is more than just instant attraction. It’s deep, it’s consuming, and has the potential to be the real thing. But true love comes at a price.
Fuelled by Liam's past, Sarah's issues, and a messy web of family ties, business partnerships, and exes, the combined forces threaten to snuff out their new found relationship.
Will that spark be smothered by outside forces? Or will they be carried like smoke from the ashes and sent spiralling skywards?
Written in Lesley Jones’ usual heartfelt, witty, and emotional voice, this dual point of view story is just the beginning of her Spiralling series.
5 Love bird stars
Even villains have a happy ending every now and again.
A marriage arrangement, a request from his dying father to take Sparrow and marry her or Troy wouldn't inherit his father's money, his father's attempt to make his own sins right beyond the grave.
Sparrow is a Boston girl like Troy, I liked her character she's feisty and unshaken by the fact she is taken locked in a room until the day of her wedding, and betrothed to the local gangster with no explanation of why except Troy Brennan wants to marry her.
Sparrow is a possession, a means to an end, an arrangement but one thing Sparrow isn't is a trophy wife.
Brilliantly written with suspense and a great plot.
Sparrows defiant nature made their marriage interesting and I loved their journey to love.
"We didn't make love, we made war"
Troy is a hard character, a killer, a villain and a man who is feared with a reputation.
Despite Troy's reputation Sparrow always stands her ground.
Troy was a man that not only broke your headboard but your heart.
Sparrow is a brilliant gangster romance told in dual pov's, filled with suspense, lies and deceit, a dynamic plot and leads to a hea.
My first book by this author and looking forward to reading more.
Every Southie in Boston knows that name. The son of a dead mobster. The heart-throb with steel-blue eyes. "The Fixer" who can make or break you in this city.
Oh, and my new husband.
That's me. No one seemed to remember my name up until he barged into my life.
But then he caged me.
And killed every chance I had to run away from the place where we grew up.
Put simply, Troy Brennan clipped my wings.
I have dreams, big ones, but I doubt he'll ever let me chase them. I have no idea why he decided to take me as his wife. But I do know this: pissing off this man will not do me any good. At all.
Sparrow is a standalone, full-length novel. It contains graphic violence and adult situations some may find offensive
"I stepped into this book and had my mind blown by the characters, the writing, and the feel of South Boston at my fingertips. One hell of a ride with an Alpha that makes your toes curl and your skin tingle." - Liv Morris, USA Today Bestselling Author.

My first book by this author I was completely engaged in Jake and Andrea's story and looking forward to more books by Mickey Miller.
Pulling in eight figures a year as star pitcher for the Chicago Jaguars, there's no shortage of parties, booze, and women. I'm a beast on the mound and between the sheets but when my social media presence becomes a major problem, the team’s owner brings in a PR expert to clean up my image. Andrea Diggers is the complete opposite of every girl I’ve ever met. She’s smart, classy, and completely off limits. Which makes me want her even more. I’ve always loved a challenge, and Andrea has no idea I'm about to get her to play...on my terms.
Cleaning up Jake Napleton’s image may be my hardest assignment yet, and not just because of the secrets he keeps deeply buried. Working alongside the six-foot-six arrogant, filthy-mouthed man is a challenge in restraint. He screams poster-boy for favourite mistakes with his chiseled abs and rippling muscles. And I want to take him up on every dirty word he’s said. But he’s not the only one with something to hide. Our attraction may be immediate. Potent. Dirty. But is it enough to withstand our shadowed pasts?
*Playing Dirty is a full length sexy standalone with an HEA.*

Wow! 5 Stars of suspense.
From the very first chapter of Liar Liar I was captivated, the whole book is like a spiders Web of deceit and secrets and Becca was stuck in the middle with no way out except maybe Evan.
From the very beginning the plot let's you know something serious went down with Becca, something that caused the whole family to uproot from their affluent life style to a town where no-one knew them.
Credence was a town of trailer parks and poverty and a far cry from what they were used to.
Becca is a girl on a journey to a new self, shedding the old and embracing the new. Gone are the designer clothes of her past in her attempt to fit into a new school and make new friends, except the friends part wasn't that easy.
Throughout Becca's story there's intense bullying, twists and turns as the plot thickens and Becca's new life is grim until Evan, the boy who takes interest, comes to her rescue more than once and unlike all the others in Credence he seems to care.
Becca: Something in him touched the broken pieces in me and I couldn’t resist him.
He was like a drug and teetering on the edge of addiction.
I was still trying to figure Becca out as much as Becca was trying to figure herself out, she was a girl in limbo stuck between the old and the new with a shadow of lies cast over her, like a rain cloud and the storm was coming.
Evan he to was a mystery too, wanting to keep their relationship secret from the bully's, he was a loner and a guy who seemed to be dark, mysterious, a boy in the background but carrying a presence that got him noticed.
There was more under the surface of all the characters involved and all the suspense had me eagerly turning the pages wanting more and reading Liar Liar in one sitting.
The way he watched me. Showed up as if he was always around, hiding in the shadows.
Everything about Evan Porter should have screamed stay away.
Told in Becca's pov, from beginning to end I loved this book and L.A Cottons ability to keep me hooked throughout with the brilliant descriptive words, imaginative scenes and the balance of angst and mystery within the plot, the hot scenes were a bonus too.
Favourite scene that made me chuckle:
"Did you just smell my car"
The almost playful tone was back in his voice, if a guy like Evan could be playful
For eighteen-year-old Becca Torrence, the chance to finish high school in a new town, where no one knows her or the secrets of that night, should be a dream come true. But when the first day of school rolls around, something is wrong.
Instead of being greeted with warm smiles and reassuring hellos, Becca finds herself on the receiving end of icy stares and cruel whispers. Putting it down to her status as an outsider, she holds her head high, because they can’t know.
Determined to make her new life in Credence work, Becca is willing to do whatever it takes to fit in. Even if it means losing herself in the process.
A white lie can save you … Too many lies will break you.

Another hot sexy read from Terri E Laine & AM Hargrove
I haven't read Sidelined with Cassidy and Fletcher but I read and loved Fastball the previous book with famous Baseball player Ryder and Gina, I did prefer their story more than this but Hooked was still and enjoyable hot fun and sexy read.
Riley Wilder is one of the top LPGA players and Ryder's sister from the previous book.
If you read the previous books you would already have been introduced to Riley and Mark, whose occasionally popped up in the story in Fastball were we learned Riley was on the look out for a caddie and mark was in between jobs.
Mark does indeed take Riley up on the offer to help Riley out on a golf tour for charity and this is where the fun begins.
Mark is a guy who definitely doesn't mince his words he's a hot dirty mouthed talking alpha.
Riley seemed more reserved and professional but she still has her moments.
Riley: I’ve had my eye on him since we were teenagers.
I even managed to kiss him once.
But once wasn’t enough.
He stars in every one of my dirty fantasies.
Now it’s time for my dreams to come true.
Hooked is a fun read with hot intimate moments, great characters and an enjoyable plot. I would love to read more from this series.
Arc gratefully recieved for review: BBBf-sizzlereads-bestbookboyfriends.com
I’ve had my eye on him ever since we were teenagers.
I even managed to kiss him once.
But once wasn’t enough.
He stars in every one of my dirty fantasies.
Now it’s time for those dreams to come true.
He’s smart, sexy, gorgeous, and currently single.
When I hear he’s in a position to act as my caddie for a week,
I decide to bite the bullet and jump on him. I mean it.
Who am I kidding?
I have one week to blow his mind and other things too.
I can only hope my heart survives every one of our heated encounters and that he gets Hooked before I do.

Sidelined: A Wilde Players Dirty Romance by
A.M. Hargrove, Author & Terri E. Laine
#Free with #KindleUnlimited
I hate him… I love him… He destroyed me… and now He needs me.
Fletcher Wilde, a gorgeous quarterback in the NFL, is the man I should have married. He’s is the one that walked away, choosing football over me. He shouldn’t be back, especially not looking that good. And not sitting in my waiting room chair with a bum leg and confident cocky grin that sets my insides on fire.
It’s impossible to forget how he rocked my world both in and out of the bedroom. Keeping things professional won’t be easy, especially given our history. My mission, however, is getting him back on the field—the place he loved more than me, while not losing myself in him all over again.
Cassidy Miller is the only physical therapist in town. And after a potential career ending injury, she’s my ticket back on the field or my NFL career is over. Unfortunately, she’s the same Cassidy who ripped my heart to shreds when I thought we were a team.
Sexy and intelligent, she’s the last person I thought I’d see again. As it turns out, she looks better than ever, making me want that smart mouth of hers doing things to me that would drive a sane man crazy.
Lucky for me, my determination is legendary. Winning is in my blood, which makes me number one on the field. Being a single-minded man, my focus is to get her back and this time for good.
*Don’t go looking for a lot of football in this book, although there will be several touchdowns. This quick, sexy, second chance love story will ignite your e-reader. Be prepared to sweat a little when you read this hot, fast and frivolous erotic love story!
Fastball: A Wilde Players Dirty Romance is .99¢ Right Now!!!

From the USA Today Bestselling Authors, A.M. Hargrove and Terri E. Laine comes another standalone sexy sports romance, FASTBALL – A Wilde Players Dirty Romance.
Our relationship starts off like a bad joke.
A gorgeous guy walks into a bar and says to me, “Do you want to f#ck?” and damn if I don’t say yes.
And that should have been it—the punch line.
We never should’ve seen each other again.
Only we do.
Turns out sex on a stick, Ryder Wilde, is more than an orgasm-giver. He’s a player. Not just any either. A Major League Baseball pitcher. And damn, I want to be his catcher.
Except he doesn’t want to play any games or follow my rules:
No falling in love.
Because he’s used to winning … and wants to claim me as his prize.
His mission is to own me, body and soul, no matter how much I push him away.
Powerless to stop him, I can only hope my heart isn’t another casualty of his fastball.
*This quick, sexy, love story will ignite your e-reader. Be prepared to sweat a lot when you read this hot, fast, and frivolous erotic love story!
Wham, bam, thank-you Mam
Another hot quick read from Alexa Riley.
Sometimes Alexa Riley writes absolutely ridiculous story's lines that are hot and quick and leave you thinking omg what was that and although I enjoy those kind of reads this wasn't one of those.
I could completely envision Jasper and Libby's predicament.
Jasper and Libby have been in love with each other a long time, both virgin's both not wanting to look elsewhere because the only people they are attracted to is each other but both are unable to take their wannabe taboo relationship further and tell each other how they feel.
Jasper unable to deal with his feelings for Libby any more moves out with the plan to keep his distance but one phone call from his dad mentioning Libby was looking to start dating had him jumping in his car on route to man up.
I loved this story and the characters and in good Alexa Riley style it was hot and quick. I also want to mention I love Alexa's covers and teasers.
Jasper: We both lose our cherries together on the same thrust. It's everything I dreamed it would be and more.
Libby Moore is trying to figure out what to do with her life. She has graduated high school, but there’s only one thing she’s ever truly wanted in life…the one thing she can’t have…her stepbrother, Jasper.
Jasper Lewis tried to get away from the one person he shouldn’t want. But moving only a couple of miles away was a pitiful effort, and he’s tired of resisting what he wants. He’s coming back to claim what’s been his since day one, no matter what the consequences.
This taboo love is so dirty, so wrong, and your lady business is gonna thank you!
Warning: It’s okay if you like it, because this is a judgment-free zone. But these two are about to get it on like their dad may walk in at any moment. Enjoy!! (
I loved Rebecca and Ryker's story.
When Ryker the Stryker Hawke is forced to give up fighting due to suspension his career and life reaches an all time low.
After living off his past earnings and supporting his Gram, Ryker has no choice but to swallow his pride and find employment.
Rebecca works at a gym that Breccan and her brother Tripp owns. When Ryker an ex opponant of Breccan walks through the door looking to speak to Breccan he immediately gets Rebecca's back up even if she thinks he's hot.
Rebecca is sassy, gutsy, speaks her mind, shes a brilliant foul mouthed take no shit kind of girl, a previous octagon girl who is also passionate and supportive of her brother and Breccan.
The lust, hate relationship with Rebecca and Ryker is hot and fun and I loved their journey to love, I really couldn't get enough of these two brilliantly matched pair.
I love Ryker not only is he a fighter but he's sweet, caring humble, hot and definitely a bbf
Unraveled is a brilliant read and contains everything I love in a fighter romance, it's hot with passionate moments, contains humor, a great plot, heartwarming moments and loveable characters.
I am looking forward to more in this series and more from A.S Teague.
**Each book in this series can be read as a complete standalone.**

For the next three hours I’m swamped answering calls—thankfully no more real estate agents—and helping anyone that comes in while trying to finalize the boys’ events for the next month. When that damn bell chimes for the hundredth time today, I plaster a forced smile on my face and glance up. When my eyes finally focus on the man walking through the door, the smile vanishes and my jaw falls open.
What the actual fuck?
His head is high as he looks around, studying the room. After giving the gym a quick onceover, his gaze finally lands on where I’m seated behind the desk. Our eyes meet and my heart hammers, the pounding so loud I fear he can hear it from across the room. I tear my gaze away from his and scan his body, surprised at the physical reaction I’m having to him.
With a slight shake of my head, I slap my palms on the paper-covered wood, and shove out of my chair, causing it to shoot out at least ten feet behind me. “You have some nerve walking in here.”
He stops in his tracks and blinks at me before an easy smile crosses his face. “Rebecca Toler. Shoulda known I’d see you here.” He drawls as he continues walking toward me.
My pulse is pounding in my ears and my stomach is practicing its floor routine for the Olympics as I stare at the man in front of me. Taking a minute to appreciate his strong jaw line that’s covered in scruff, I notice that his hair is in desperate need of a trim as it falls across one eye.
Fuck, he’s sexy.
He always had been. Regardless how much it pains me to admit it. Though his looks weren’t why I wanted to full body hurl him from the building. Memories of our last interaction flood my mind, along with the hurt and anger I’d felt.
“How ya been, Reb?” he asks with a familiarity he doesn’t have.
His use of my nickname, a familiarity he doesn’t have––or deserve––causes me to snap childishly, “Who said you could call me that?”
He grins, but doesn’t reply.
Fuck, that grin is hot.
“What are you doing in Atlanta, Ryker?” I ask, attitude still thick in my voice.
He takes his time looking me over and my body betrays me by flushing at the attention. His eyes are appreciative of what they see, but strangely enough, it doesn’t feel like he’s ogling me.
He steps forward and shoves his hands in the pockets of his washed out jeans that hang low on his hips. “Well, I was in town and thought I’d stop in and say hello to my buddy Breccan. Seeing you is an unexpected bonus.” His lips tip up in a smile and my stomach flips again.
“Your buddy?” I hiss through clenched teeth while attempting not to let my gaze linger on his pants any longer. The thought of Ryker and Breccan ever being buddies would have been funny, if I wasn’t too shocked to laugh.
His gaze finally makes it back to mine and he nods once.
For a few moments we simply stare at each other, him smiling while I scowl.

A.S. Teague enjoys the warmth of South Carolina with her husband and two daughters. The stereotypes about peach cobbler and sweet tea are not overstated. After years in the medical field, she is now enjoying every minute of being a stay-at-home mom. She loves wine, the beach, wine on the beach, and crying at Disney movies. When she doesn’t have a book in her hand, she can be found pestering her husband with pictures of animals she wants to rescue, as well as debating whether to exercise or take a nap.
LIAM BECKETT (SWOON)
I absolutely love this series with Harper's Alphas, endearing words to make you swoon, hot scenes and brilliant characters.
Hope Town series is an actual spin-off to the Corps Security books, they can be read as stand alone's.
The Hope Town books revolve around the lives of the children (who are now grown-up) from Corps Security series.
This story stars Liam (son of Beck & Dee) and Megan.
Megan has loved and lost, her story is one of heartbreak, losing her husband while serving his country leaving Megan behind with a little girl.
Liam he is nothing more than a patient and beautiful man, biding his time until the woman he has set his sights on is ready for the whirlwind that is Liam Beckett to wrap himself around every aspect of her life.
Another beautiful, hot and heartwarming story from Harper Sloan
I've loved once. I gave everything that I had to that love. Blindly believing that nothing could ever take that feeling away from me. Away from us. And when my little world of happiness was ripped from my fingers, I felt a loss that still haunts me to this day.
Now I use that lingering grief as a shield to keep my heart from loving again. It's that fear that keeps me from letting anyone, except my daughter, get close enough to make it hurt. To make my heart bleed when I inevitably lose again.
Until the day I met Liam Beckett and everything I thought I had protected myself from was shoved back in my face.
He's on a mission to prove to me that a love worth having is a love worth fighting for.

Fan me down, New BBF on the shelf called Miles Girard!.
Tori and Miles, enemy's, Fr-enemy's whatever you want to call them there's a whole lot of pent up emotion between them.
When Tori finds herself in a situation where she needs to leave her home and hide out, Tori goes to stay at her best friend Chloe's home whilst she is living in another state with Ethan who s story's are both from the previous books.
Tori didn’t expect Miles, Chloe's brother and the man she has been fighting with for the past year to be living there when she arrives.
I haven't read previous books but with subtle hints of the previous plots, reading between the lines I figured the fall out was down to drama and Miles lack of support for Chloe, Tori's best friend and although Chloe has forgiven her brother Tori hasn't.
Can you stay mad with and fight someone you're insanely attracted to? and not only that, now someone you have to share house with? even a strong character like Tory struggles and it's a fun,hot and rough ride on their hate to love journey.
Tori is such a tough, feisty and stubborn character, a reformed party girl, were as Miles is described as a geek with a hot body and whatever his previous misgivings he certainly made up for it in Flawed.
Told in dual pov's Flawed is a hot read, the sex scenes are descriptive and well written.
I was completely enraptured by the plot from the beginning, with the brilliant descriptive and enticing writing style of Tracy Wolff and interesting characters, I found everything so well balanced throughout the plot from humorous to dramatic moments and all that it contains that had me turning the pages.
I loved this book and Miles, I'm looking forward to not only more from this author but now out of curiosity I need to read the previous books with Chloe and Ethan Frost's story.
There's no huge drama's, danger or angst in Flawed, this is Tori finally growing up, standing on her own feet and moving on from one night stands.
Recommended hot read.
Arc gratefully received from netgalley for review.
FLAWED IS BOOK 4 IN THE ETHAN FROST NOVELS
The bestselling Ethan Frost series introduces a tantalizing new hero—and the broken woman only he can save. Discover why Beth Kery once declared that readers of Tracy Wolff will “fall in love under the spell of a master.”
When Tori Reed loses everything, he sets her free.
I told myself I’d never trust Miles Girard, no matter how brilliant or sexy he may be. His sister, Chloe—Ethan Frost’s wife—is my best friend, but I know just how low Miles will stoop to get what he wants. Now he’s the last thing I want: my boss.
Growing up, I had it all—except for the sense that I belonged. And when a mistake from my past surfaces in the press, my parents don’t hesitate to cut me off.
But surprisingly, Miles offers me a helping hand.
Before I know it, our relationship turns unprofessional in the hottest ways. Of course, he still drives me crazy. But when I’m dealt the ultimate blow, Miles is there for me. And maybe he’s the one I’ve been looking for all along.
Tori’s a mess. A gorgeous mess, with her short, multicolored hair sticking up in all directions and her hot-pink bandage dress hugging her gentle curves, but a mess nonetheless. Her brown eyes are blurry, her cheeks flushed, and she’s trembling a little as I pull her onto the dance floor and into my arms.
Most nights she’d never allow me to touch her—understandable considering she pretty much hates my guts—but tonight she comes along without protest. The fact that she’s so pliable is in and of itself a cause for concern, but the way she’s trembling, the way she lets me mold her body against my own, the way she tossed back three glasses of champagne in under half an hour—yes, I’ve been watching her since she stepped off the elevator—tells me that something’s wrong.
Not that she’s going to tell me what it is, and not that I’m going to ask. But I’m not going to let my little sister’s best friend get totally trashed, either—not when half the guys here look like they’re just waiting to move in for the kill.
The second clue I get that something’s not quite right is the fact that she doesn’t say anything to me at all, even after I’ve got her wrapped up in my arms. On a normal day Tori’s a mouthy little thing—one who has no trouble letting me know just how much she despises me——and the fact that she’s keeping her mouth shut right now does more than tell me something’s wrong. It makes me worry.
The song ends on a whisper and the DJ switches things up, taking us from slow and sexy to fast and hot with the swipe of a finger across his screen. I spin her around a little, move us across the dance floor. Then as the chorus hits, I spin her all the way out before pulling her back in with a sharp tug that has her body slamming into me in the best possible way.
That’s when she looks up for the first time and our eyes meet. Something flashes in hers, a little bit of the old attitude she wears like a second skin. I’m unreasonably happy to see it, especially considering how much her mouth usually annoys me.
“You do know that it’s customary to ask a woman to dance, don’t you? Instead of dragging her off like a caveman.” Somehow she manages to look down her nose at me, even though she’s about five inches shorter than I am even in her ridiculous heels.
I ignore the surge of relief that comes with her sassiness and concentrate instead on shutting it down. If I’ve learned nothing in the last year, it’s that if you give Tori an inch, she’ll take ten miles. And somehow get you to thank her for it even as she exercises her own version of manifest destiny. “Yeah, well, it’s also customary not to get shit-faced at a formal engagement party, but that doesn’t seem to be stopping you.”
Her eyes narrow and when she opens her mouth I know she’s planning on delivering a stinging slap-down. And frankly, I’m not in the mood to hear it. Especially since she’s been saying the same old shit practically from the day we met.
So instead of waiting for whatever insult she wants to level at me this time, I spin her out fast and hold her there for the count of five before slowly pulling her back in.
She’s talking before our hands even meet. “I’m far from shit-faced, thank you very much.”
“Maybe not, but you’re well on your way.” It’s my turn to narrow my eyes at her. “You’ve had three glasses of champagne in the last twenty minutes.”
“Wow. Stalk much?”
“I was about to ask you the same thing, baby. After all, I was here first.”
Before she can answer, I spin her out again, then pull her close and spin her back out in the opposite direction, just because I can. And because it pisses her off and a pissed-off Tori Reed is a magnificent sight to behold.
“Don’t call me baby,” she snarls the second I pull her back in. “And believe me, Miles, the only way I would stalk you would be if I was planning on driving a wooden stake through your cold, black heart.”
“Wooden stakes are for the undead,” I tell her as I press her close so she can feel the heat of my body through my suit and her dress. “And I can assure you, baby, I am very much alive.”
“Yeah, well, kitchen knives work on everyone. Why don’t you come downstairs with me right now? I’d be happy to demonstrate.”
“Aw, how nice. An invitation to your place.” I smirk deliberately. “First you follow me to this party, then you invite me into your condo? You sure you’re not the one stalking me?”
She’s outraged, and it’s obvious she’s got a vicious response on the tip of her tongue. So I spin her out again, just to watch her eyes narrow to slits and her cheeks get even more flushed.
“You could always come downstairs with me and find out,” she hisses as I pull her back in.
This time, instead of taking her hand, I place one finger to her lips before she can spit any of the insults at me that I can see swimming in her eyes. “Now, now, baby, I know you’re eager. But I’m not that kind of guy. If you want me to fuck you, you’re going to have to let me take you to dinner first.”
