She was beautiful.
He was my best friend.
I loved her, but he took her away from me, so I left and never looked back.
I thought I understood brotherhood, but then I joined the Black Sentinels and they showed me what real loyalty was. Not like Dean, my childhood best friend. He and I made a pact about Malia, the beautiful girl who moved in next door, but they betrayed me and cut out my heart, and I vowed I would never forgive either of them.
Now she’s here, the girl I loved—the one whose call to my heart was stronger than the call of the ocean, and she needs me and my club to help keep her safe from him.
The thing is, betrayal cuts deep and I’m not sure I can be there for her when I fear falling in love with her all over again.
But that’s a lie. I never stopped loving her. She ruined all other women for me.
Malia Kyler took my heart over a decade ago and never gave it back.
Can I let her in for a second time? Or do I risk it all, and take what should’ve been mine all those years ago?

I just knew I wouldn't be able to put this book down, Victoria Johns has blown me away again!
Teenage best friends, a love triangle with no cheating, a second chance romance and to top it off my favorite MC family, oh my, addictive so bloody addictive. Box's ticked, ticked and ticked
What a gripping read, I just love the progression in this story, teenage close friends and neighbors Dean, Reef and Malia, surfers, lovers of the sea and the freedom of being on the water.
Both boys have the hots for Malia when she first moves into the house between them but agree to be just friends, a pact between the two of them malia isn't aware of but Malia is like a starved girl for affection, she has no father in the picture and her mother is barely at home.
Malia and Reef have chemistry and when Malia makes her move on Reef he's the one who backs off, keeps the boy's pact intact, something he later regrets when his best friend makes his move and gets the girl anyway. There's obviously a lot more to this part of the story and I was gripping on for dear life to my kindle wondering how this would all go.
Ten years later, Dean and Malia are still together. Malia is a victim of physical and verbal abuse. Choices it's all about Choices, mistakes, broken promises and regrets.
Malia needs help and with no-one to turn too she seeks out Reef who is now called Wave and a member of The Sentinels MC.
The twists and turns, the hotness, the chemistry and the hope that these two would finally get together putting betrayal and hurt behind them was immense.
I loved it, I can't express how much I love this series. A definite page-turner every time and a no questions asked one-click buy for any MC lover.
There are bad hangovers, then there’s waking up married to your brother’s idiot friend.
On the trip of a lifetime, a drunken Wren and intoxicated Brody stumble upon a wedding ceremony and decide to tag along for the ride. But being spectators isn’t quite wild enough when you’ve got tequila in your toes, and before either of them can stop what they’re about to do, “We now pronounce you husband and wife.”
Once sober and home, the incompatible newlyweds try everything within their power to end their pantomime marriage. Unfortunately for them, the promise and vows they made to spend their life together now aren’t as easy to break as they’d once hoped.
Especially not when Brody starts to have a change of heart.
Book one in a new standalone series.
Sometimes a book comes along and wakes up all your senses and you just don't want it to end.
I loved absolutely everything about WAKING UP IN VEGAS, I mean hands up how many of you have read this sort of trope, I have read quite a few of these accidental drunken marriages while in Vegas and despite that this book was refreshing.
Brody is Wren's brothers best friends, they are a group of friends, who's parents are really close so they are the kind of friends who celebrate and attend everything together. Despite the closeness of them all Brody and Wren have never gotten on, they have digs and cat-fights with each other something that has gone on for years, Brody has always looked at Wren as his friends annoying little sister although he is only 3 years older than her.
One trip to Vegas celebrating Brody's birthday with the whole gang minus the parents changes everything for Brody and Wren. What starts off as their usual bickering and fighting relationship changes in the blink of a drunken night where they sneak off away from the rest of the group and wake up married. What happens in Vegas can sometimes bite you on the arse as Brody and Wren discover.
A fun read with lovable characters, an addictive plot containing highs, lows and hotness all leading to a hea, what more could you ask for? well, more of this for a start!.
I fell in love with the characters, the extended characters, their families, the whole dynamics and package of this book has me excited that this is a series and I can't wait to read more.

Stone Reeves was my neighbor, and I’ve hated him since sixth grade.
Gorgeous and charismatic, he became the town’s football god, while I became the town’s invisible girl.
He went to a Division 1 school for football, while my father was fired by his father.
His team won the National Championship, while my mother died the same day.
He was a first round pick for the NFL ...
… while I made the worst decision in my life.
Now I’m in Texas trying to pick up the pieces of my life.
But, Stone is here.
Stone is everywhere.
It doesn’t matter that disaster has struck my life again.
It doesn’t matter that he’s the one trying to console me.
It doesn’t matter that he’s the nation’s newest football obsession.
Because for me, he always has been and always will be my enemy.
RELEASE DATE: DEC 2nd

Enthralled, engrossed, enchanted, I would definitely say Enemies ticked all my boxes and more.
Tijan has given me yet another book I could not put down and I felt a loss when I reached the end.
Enemies is more than a sports romance, more than a enemies to lovers romance, I was moved, I was invested in the characters, I loved it.
Dusty is a young woman starting college and once upon a time she had a best friend called Stone, they grew up together but through sad circumstances and a fallout with both their parents they parted ways. Dusty hadn't seen or heard from Stone until she went to college and she just couldn't get away from his name, Stone was the rising star in football that the whole town and campus loved.
When Dusty and Stone do finally meet again it's not exactly a warm reunion or pleasant circumstances, there's history between Stone and Dusty, unsaid things, truths to be revealed.
There's heartache and heartwarming moments in Enemies, I was moved, happy, sad, it was like a roller-coaster read of emotions, it evoked so many and I also developed a huge love for these characters. And can I just say Stone is so swoony, loved him.
In summary, A good enemies to lovers read with younger characters that I highly recommend. Leads to hea and is told in first person pov.
When I finished this book I had also developed an interest in some extended characters so I do hope Tijan will be bringing their stories too.

CROSS is a full-length, standalone first book in a steamy and suspenseful new MC Romance series - Devil's Nightmare MC - by Lena Bourne. No Cliffhanger, HEA Guaranteed!
I'm the guy whose name brings fear into the hearts of even the hardest men. They call me Cross, because I've killed enough men to fill a cemetery, and I never saw any problem with that. Until a woman I hardly remember brought my eleven-year-old daughter that I didn't know existed, to my doorstep and left her for me to take care of.
At first my daughter was a complication I didn't need, but now I'll do everything I can to raise her right. I'll even stay away from her hot-as-
sin guidance counselor Roxanne, who makes me feel like I'm twenty again, and not pushing forty. Which isn't to say I wouldn't show her what a real man can do with a woman like her.
My father was the president of an outlaw MC, and until I turned twenty-one a world of bikers, mayhem and crime was all I knew. Then a rival gang destroyed it all, killed my family and everyone I held dear, and made me the property of a brutal, ruthless man. I ran away, got an education, and haven't looked back.
Now I'm the guidance counselor at a small town junior high school, my old life so far behind me it might as well be someone else's past, and I was happy to leave it there. But then I met Cross, the bad boy biker father of one of my wayward students. He makes me yearn for the life I lost, crave all the excitement that used to be my everyday. Makes me want to be a bad girl again, if only for one night.
But I won't go down that road again. It doesn't lead anywhere good.
Cross: Devil's Nightmare MC is biker romance novel, which contains steamy sex scenes and deals with disturbing themes that may be uncomfortable for some readers. Intended for 18+ audiences.

My first book by this author and I'm looking forward to reading more.
I listened to CROSS in audible, the narration was good and I got a good feel for the characters and the action.
As MC romance goes, this fulfilled everything I love about them.
Action, drama, hotness, danger.
When Roxie's father and her family are killed along with the rest of the MC by another MC, she runs and is determined to start again and leave that life behind her.
6 years later Roxie starts a new job working at a School as a guidance Councillor, she works with problematic pupils, this is when she comes across her new case, a young girl all the teachers have given up on, the daughter of an MC President.
Cross and Roxie are drawn to each other like magnets, they argue, she doesn't back down, Roxie has been used to men like Cross most of her life and she isn't intimidated by him, they have chemistry, she fascinates him they are both drawn to each other, its hot and they begin seeing each other.
After vowing to stay away from the MC life Roxie needs to decide if she wants to go with her heart or head and if she tells Cross who she really is and all about her past life.
I enjoyed it, I felt there were some info missing re Cross's daughter, why she acted up, why she had dreams, maybe it was in a previous book? I don't know but it all needed tying together, the puzzle pieces didn't make a bigger picture in the end with some things but I would read more in this series.
They call him the devil.
When I crash-landed into him on my first day at Loyola Academy, I was sure that couldn’t be true.
He was the most gorgeous man I’d ever seen in real life.
Little did I know he was also the cruelest.
I went from starstruck to stunned the moment his cynical eyes cut through me.
I can’t tell you what it was that made him want to punish me. But from that day forward the brooding recluse of a man made it his goal to torment me.
I want to loathe him, and some days, I do.
But good or bad, nobody’s attention has ever tasted so sweet.
What do you do when you have a hate crush on your bully?
Worse yet, what do you do when he’s also your teacher?
3.5 Hot, sexy, teacher/student forbidden romance, older man.
I'm not usually a fan of this trope, I wasn't really a fan of this but it's A Zavarelli, I love her books, her writing and to be honest I dove In without question.
I wasn't disappointed, I did enjoy most of this book, I just found HATE CRUSH to be similar to other student/teacher romances I've read before, the forbidden romance development, the secrets and sneaking around, the hot bossy teacher and like I said it's not my favourite trope.
I can't say I liked the hero Sebastian, he was mainly all about the sex, he was cold, hard and demanding, maybe if he'd had more inner turmoil battles, shown more of his venerable side, I may have been a little bit more sympathetic but he was just an Ass-hole to Stella until he was shaken out of his miserable self in the eleventh hour.
Stella didn't have enough backbone for me, I know she was only eighteen but her weakness caving into and succumbing to Sebastian aka Mr Carter each time he hurt her, used her and made her feel like door mat, annoyed me.
An enjoyable hot sexy read but not one of my favourites from A. Zavarelli, I missed the different kind of angst I normally love from this authors books.

From #1 Amazon Bestseller L.J. Shen comes a new, star-crossed lovers romance about loss, love, and meeting The One when you are too young to know how to keep them.
Sometimes you meet people who are out of this world, so you make them a part of yours.
A one-night stand born from vengeance in a foreign land.
An explosive chemistry neither of us could deny.

Eight years and thousands of miles later, he’s here.
In New York.
And he’s America’s music obsession.
The intangible Irish poet who brings record executives to their knees.
The blizzard in my perfect, unshaken snow globe.
Last time we spoke, he was a beggar with no intention of becoming a king.
But a king he became, and now I’m his servant.
I’m not the same broken princess Malachy Doherty put back together with his callused hands.
I have a career I love.
A boyfriend I adore.
An apartment, a roommate, a life.
I changed. He changed, too.
But Mal kept the napkin.
Question is, will I keep my word?
Unlikely Event is LIVE and FREE with Kindle Unlimited!
This was a really difficult review to write and I won't go into too much detail about the book.
I have read all books by this author and look out for every new release, so without question I dove In blind.
I loved the beginning of the book, my heart was pumping, I felt another good L.J Shen read coming on but then the weirdness began, even inanimate objects had a pov? I scratched my head at that one and the cryptic sentences, clues and hints began to get on my nerves instead of intriguing me.
If it's a Rom com write it like a Rom com, if it's romantic suspense keep with the suspense, I don't know what this was.
In summary, L.J Shen tried something new and it wasn't my thing but it won't stop me looking forward to whatever she writes next

Book 1 of the New Iron Badges series. Grab it NOW!
My first book by this author and I enjoyed it.
I listened to this in audio and also enjoyed the narration.
Sadie is a deputy who rides a motorcycle, she's a strong independent woman which I like in a heroine, she's straight talking and knows what she wants in life.
Sadie first meets Doctor Ryan Montgomery following a car incident when he takes over from her with a dying passenger, despite the circumstances there's an instant attraction.
They meet again when Ryan's daughter goes missing. Ryan is a single widowed father with an interfering mother in law who starts to cause him endless problems especially when he starts to date Sadie, she sees Sadie as a threat to her daughter's memory
A good balance in the story, it's a page turner with drama, hotness and it all leads to a heartwarming hea
An enjoyable story, I will definitely read more in this series with these strong independent women

LOVED, LOVED LOVED MAC
I am totally addicted to this bloody series, can't get enough!
BLINDSIDED reminded me so much of Booker and Poppy's story. Mac and Freya have only been friends a year though compared to Booker and Poppy who met as children.
They Netflix and chill but basically do just Netflix and chill, Mac and Freya bicker, they fight, they spend all their spare time with other, they are basically like an old married couple without the intimate relationship part, until they start seeing each other a little differently.
I loved Mac and Freya aka Cookie's journey to more than just friends, they are both brilliant characters and I loved Freya's quirkiness. Freya is a 29 year old virgin, a cat lover, a woman who is on the larger size with very little confidence, she is also a seamstress who was introduced in previous books especially in the girly get together's with the other characters in this series, I was curious about her and so glad I got to read her story.
This was definitely another read by Amy Daws I could not put down, I laughed, swooned and had a happy sigh there at the end, what more could I ask for?.
BLINDSIDED CAN BE READ AS A STANDALONE AND IS TOLD IN FIRST PERSON.
"Have you ever had sex in a Vauxhall Combo? No neither have I but it's starting to sound appealing."
"I'm Willow Dixon, I'm 24 years old and I'm frustrated. I have a hot new boyfriend and you would think I'd be walking bow-legged with a sexy new man in my life, but the earth hasn't exactly moved for us yet and if I had to describe my sex life using a movie title, it would be 'A Series of Unfortunate Events', one of which includes a brief visit from Elvis."
As the saying goes, 'True love never did run smooth and that is certainly true for Willow and Charlie. They seem to have everything going against them including interfering parents, a troublesome alcoholic mother and a variety of annoying siblings, all of whom go a long way to ensuring that Willow doesn't get the big ohhh that she's longing for.
If you want to laugh, shout out with frustration and maybe have a little tear of emotion, then The Big Ohhh is the book for you. Not only will it give you all the feels but you get the cheesiest playlist ever and some great tips that may help you obtain what Willow couldn't!!!
AVAILABLE TO BUY NOW
If your looking for a pick me up kind of read, look no further
THE BIG OHHH is full of British humor and slap-stick comedy.
Charlie and Willow first meet at a local pub, one date leads to another date and you would think with the chemistry and the progression in their relationship it would quickly go to the next level but when your both still living at home with anything but normal families, its not as easy as it seems.
I laughed at their situations, I chuckled at the sex tips before each chapter which were an interesting addition to the book. I don't think I've ever seen foreplay with cottage pie either, so that was a new one for me, THE BIG OHHH is definitely original.
Charlie and Willow are two down to earth people who just can't get it on, there's always some drama, some disturbance right at those crucial sexual moments but there's a lot more to this story and Nikki balanced this book out perfectly with the humor and other serious situations in the plot and I honestly could have carried on following Charlie and Willow even after the end, I feel like I have spent time with them and I enjoyed their journey to the big Ohhh.
My favorite funny moment was the dog food incident, I suppose you will have to read it to find out what that was.
Another laugh out loud and original good read from Nikki Ashton.
I should have told her everything.
How much I loved her.
How much I’ve always loved her.
But I didn’t.
I just wasn’t made that way.
Instead... I claimed her.
Until... I broke her.
My best friend.
From my mind to my heart, to every single bone in my body.
She owned me.
I was hers.
It was always her.
The only thing I feared more than losing her was forgetting her.
I hated how much I needed her.
She was mine.
Always and forever.
I hated her then.
But Harley Jameson was about to find out how much…
I LOVED her now.
HATED YOU THEN MUST BE READ BEFORE LOVE YOU NOW.
The conclusion to this roller-coaster angst-filled love story.
The angst killed me, in some parts I held my breath waiting for the outcome, for the car crash, oh my, I have no words for what I have just been through while reading the concluding part of Harley and Jackson's story.
This has been a journey full of ups and downs, stemming right back from childhood. Two children who hated each other, two children who secretly loved each other, who then became two teens who were on this love-hate cycle right up until their adult lives.
I got frustrated with Harley, I picked sides at times, I felt the hurts, the joys, the emotions, I was so invested in their journey wanting a happy ending, I could not put this book down.
If you have read M Robinson before you will know what you are in for, this author really puts her readers through the emotions and I love it. If you have read Dylan and Aubrey's story UNDO ME from the good o'l boys series, let me tell you, this had that kind of feel and I absolutely loved their journey.

My name is Dominic Corsino, and I have a ravenous appetite for money, power, and women.
I'm a little bit disappointed, I went into this book looking for a Mafia boss, I love those types of reads, but Dominic wasn't at all how I expected. Dominic is a Mafia boss, yes, and following his father's death he has taken over as head of the family, however, he wants out, he is nowhere near the ruthless leader his father was and this story is about protecting his family name, doing things right, staying within the law.
It was a good story that didn't lack angst or drama.
Faith is the best friend of Dominic's sister, recently separated from her cheating husband and has her own battles to fight. Dominic puts Faith up in his home while she is fighting for what she is owed from her husband having been left with nothing.
Faith and Dominic have always been attracted to each other but of course Faith was married and now she is free Dominic makes his move, he basically sweeps her off her feet, there is no fight there at all and together as the story progresses they help each other fight the battles they are both facing.
There's angst, danger and some interesting characters. It was a good read but didn't blow me away.

Wow! From a car crash, to waiting for the crash to happen.
"I was Dr. Jekyll. And the minute my brother woke up., she would get Mr. Hyde"
The story is pretty much summed up in the Blurb but what you don't get is the feelings, the emotion, the build-up to how it all unfolds. I thought it was so exciting and by 80% I was gripping onto my kindle waiting for the outcome.
Twin brothers separated in their teens, one lives with the mother and the other the father. When Julian is involved in an accident their Father who is on the brink of a huge deal approaches Bridge with a proposition he can't refuse.
With medical bills for his dying mother and working two jobs to get by Bridge steps into his brothers shoes as CEO of the company in the hope his brother will come out of his coma any day so he can go back to his life better off and with his mother cared for but its much, much more complicated than that, Julian also has a fiance who he isn't allowed to reveal his true identity too.
Bridge was a gent, and although he was highly attracted to Izzy, he would not sleep with her until she knew his true identity.
Izzy had been treated like a doormat, cheated on by Julian and on the day of his car crash had ended things but being the woman she is, went back to care for him following the accident, only it wasn't Julian at home it was Bridge unbeknownst to her. As the days and weeks went on Izzy began to have feelings for Julian she thought had died.
Bridge made little slip-ups which made you think, will this be it?, will she find out, I was on edge for him and I loved it.
The story was original, I found it intriguing and intense and I love it when the best man wins.
Told in first person dual pov. A standalone and leads to a hea

One month, I fell for him.
Two, I was a goner.
Three, I was a daydreamer.
But by the fourth, it was a nightmare.
Everything came in beats.
But it’s the fourth beat that completely ruined me.
With a shattered heart.
He was my nightmare.
I have read nearly all books by TL Smith, this though, I can't put my finger on it or form the right words but it was like I was reading something from a different author. The style felt different and the flow somehow.
This is part one and I am eager to find out how it will all come together or if I will even like the characters in the second book, at the moment I'm not feeling any connection at all, so for now, I'm left scratching my head and feeling confused, its like I have been given pieces to a puzzle but don't know where they fit.
Secrets, lies, angst, BDSM, this is certainly different to previous books that I usually love and consume hungrily by this author.
LOVE DRUNK finished all too soon and felt like just the beginning, the tip of the flame and I am hoping for an explosive conclusion in part two along with answers.

FROM GOODREADS DEBUT FINALIST AND USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF THE HURRICANE COMES THE FIRE.
Evelyn Danaher lives a quiet, uneventful life. That is until she meets Tommy. The only man who makes her lose control of her temper and her knickers at the same time.
Tattooed Irish firefighter Tommy Riordon found the woman of his dreams, then crashed and burned when a misunderstanding left him on his knees, clutching his balls.
They are wrong for each other in every way. But the very best love stores are the ones that shouldn’t work. After all, the fire that doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.
Contemporary Romance. Contains sexual situations, violence, offensive language and mature topics. Recommended for age 18 years and up.
I'm a mixture of happy and sad right now. Happy that I finally got to read Tommy's story, happy that I got a glimpse of my favorite characters again, sad that it's ended and sad for parts of this journey I have just been on.
"The fire that doesn't kill you, makes you stronger"
I absolutely loved Tommy, he's the joker of the group, the Irish man with swagger who has all the girls falling over him with his cheeky smile and one-liners Tommy doesn't have to work too hard to get the girl, well, until he meets the fiery Irish redheaded, and stout Catholic girl Evelyn.
Man-whore meets good girl, I absolutely love these kinds of stories.
I loved the chase, the story of how Tommy and Evelyn met, I loved the banter between these Irish boys, I even loved the parts that made me cry.
I have waited a long time for this book, I wish there were more in this series.
I have swooned, laughed, cried and happily sighed. All the emotions!
THE FIRE can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you start with The Hurricane and meet the whole gang before reading this book, which is like a finale in a way.

“Let me give you the money for the phone,” I pleaded. I never intended to keep it, but when he left it behind, I gave into the lure of the shiny box. Within ten minutes of charging it, a text from Tommy had arrived and he hadn’t let up since.
“Fine, I’ll take payment in kind,” he agreed.
“I’m not the sort of girl who’ll be paying for things with her body. If that’s the kind of person you take me for, I’m afraid you don’t know me at all. Now, I suggest you leave, and you can take your bloody mobile phone with you,” I hissed, utterly humiliated and absolutely furious that he would say something like that, when I’d honestly been giving serious thought to the idea of the two of us dating.
“Hold ya’ horses, baby. I never mentioned anything about what kind of payment I was after did I? If you’d given me half a chance, I would’ve asked you for a date. Seems to me that you’re the one whose dirty mind ran straight to sex,” he replied, shocking me into absolute silence.
“I…I’m sorry. I don’t know what it is about you, but you bring out the absolute worst in me,” I said.
“So it’s my fault you were mean!” he teased, making me even more flustered. “Well for that, my price just went up.”
“By how much?” I asked, suspiciously.
Behind the "lights, camera, action" of Hollywood lies a world of deception, love, and seduction.
Are you ready for Hollywood Royalty?
An entertainment journalist was the last thing I thought I would be doing.
I thought once I got my degree, I would be reporting on stories that made a difference, but now all I do is report on who broke up with who and who is dating who.
I was over it.
Then I got my next assignment.
He’s Hollywood’s bad boy.
He works hard, and he plays even harder.
He’s rude, he’s condescending, and he’s made it known he doesn’t want me on the tour.
With one month on the road with him, two things might happen
One, I may never work in this industry again.
Two, I may just be like everyone else and fall for Hollywood’s Playboy.
I listened to this in audio and the male narrator's voice, hot damn! is like chocolate *fans self
I am loving Natasha's books, can't seem to get enough, they have absolutely everything I love in a modern-day romance, hotness, drama, angst and riveting characters.
HOLLYWOOD PLAYBOY is the first book in a new series and is about an actor who's team select 10 journalists to take on the film premier tour with them.
Jessica is one of those ten journalists. Since Jessica reported a scoop on Tyler you could say she is his least favorite journalist in the industry by Tyler's team, almost the enemy in this scenario but she goes along anyway, in fact, she has too, begrudgingly following orders from her boss.
An enemies to lovers romance.
I loved everything about this, how the plot slowly unravels, how you get to see the real Tyler behind the scenes of the glitz and glamour as opposed to the life portrayed by the press and you also get to see the vulnerable side of Jessica who comes across as a take no shit kind of woman, but both it seems to hide behind their jobs and how others perceive them, giving people what they expect.
Tyler is so swoon, I can't describe him another way, he's hot sexy and so adorable, outside of his Hollywood shoes and in them.
I loved both characters, the plot and everything that lead up to the heartwarming hea. I would definitely recommend this book and can't wait for my next Natasha Madison read.

Being a fighter is in my blood. My grandfather was a fighter, my father was a fighter, and I'm a fighter. I live for the rush of adrenaline and sensation of victory. When I fight, I give it my all. I step into the octagon and I fight until there's nothing left to fight for.
He's been my best friend for most of my life. I've fought with him, fought against him, and for the longest time I fought for him, for us. Until he pushed me away, leaving me no choice but to tap-out.
Fighting is what saved me. It shed the old me and I became a newer shinier version of myself. Until it took away everything I loved. I gave up and tapped out.
Then one day, she came back into my life and reminded me that some things in life are worth fighting for. Now I'm fighting for us, day by day, proving to her that our happily ever after is worth fighting for.
This book is a stand-alone MMA romance.
Available in Kindle Unlimited!
I was looking for a good fighter romance, I didn't find one.
This isn't what I thought it would be, yes, the characters were fighters but the plot didn't focus much on that or their gradual build-up to the big championship fight they both took part in, in the latter part of the book, it was blase.
The plot was mainly focused on Marco and his drug problem and his inability to stay and face his problems which was so lusterless, drab, lacked drama between the words.
I also thought the heroin would have more backbone, a bit of sass, she didn't.
The plot I found choppy, were it would jump from one thing to another with no flow.
It was an ok read but I felt no connection to the plot or characters, however I will give this author another go and see if there is improvement.
