Revenge is a dish best served cold.
Which is a real problem when the attraction runs red-hot.
Ice-cream store owner Raelynn Fortune has everything but her last name—fortune.
Despite living in a Floridian hotspot for tourists, she just can’t get her business back off the ground. And she knows why.
Her rival store next door is run by nobody other than her ex, and with his fancy-schmancy concoctions, he’s taking all the clients two generations of her family cultivated. Never mind that Raelynn taught him all he knows, and his revenge for her breaking up with him was putting her plans into reality—and her almost out of business.
But, she has a plan. The height of the season is just two weeks away, and she’s tired of playing second fiddle to her ex. She’s going to take back her crown as the queen of ice cream, even if it means getting close to Chase once again.
After all, all is fair in love and war, and you know what they say about keeping your enemies close…
Although maybe Chase is a little too close…
Best served cold is a sweet second chance romance with lots of sarcastic sprinkles.
"Hate was a strong word, and not one I used lightly. It was reserved almost entirely for my ex-boyfriend and Brussels sprouts.
The woman I was in love with hated me with every bit of her soul. And I didn't blame her at all. If I were her I'd hate me too"
Rae is stubborn, in fact she's the definition of stubborn and sarcastic she has sarcasm down to a T. Rae and Chase arguing is like watching a tennis match and most times it was match point to Rea, she was that quick with her comebacks.
Two ice cream shops next door to each other and two exes leads to a recipe of cold servings.
I liked Best served cold. Chase I loved him, he was so sweet, not the brightest spark for opening an ice-cream parlour next to his ex just to be close to her but a sweet guy all the same.
Raelynn, I liked her too, it just took a heck of a lot of smooth talking to finally get her to melt.
For two years Chase didn't give up, he bides his time to win her back and finally Chase see's his in and makes for the play, he finally goes for it but can he melt the ice queen?
I could't justify Rae's reasons for the split two years ago, chase and Rae are made for each other but so glad it finally worked out in the end.
Best served cold is a lovable romance and will certainly whip up some laughs along with way.
Told in first person, leads to hea. No cheating and no major angst or drama, so sit back read and enjoy.
