Deserved is the second book in the soul mates series and tells the stories of those who find passion and love when they least expect it. ![]() Another great read by Victoria Johns A battle of wills, a battle against the age gap. "You don't want to start this war with me." "You think you can take me?" I am a woman! Hear me ROAR." I liked Deserved, the story wasn't without its angst or drama. A 12 year old girl gets dumped on the doorstep of a father she has never met, an ex who's involved in motorbike gangs and on the run, There's Tommy who brings hotness to the plot and shows he has a dominant side, to which there wasn't enough of and fan me down Jake the best friend who's a bit of a man whore and a sweetie who I definitely want more of. There's plenty in deserved to keep you turning the pages. 34 year old Tommy although not always a likeable character in this story is the owner of a cab firm and has recently found out he has a 12 year old daughter Carly. In need of help Tommy calls Lottie who runs a children's home but gets Lacey on the phone instead who agrees to go over and help him out. 24 year old Lacey has been in care knows all to well what children in care go through and has studied hard to be in a position to help those that were once like her. Lacey helps and now works with her foster parents Oli and Lottie in the children's home. Lacey and Carly hit it off straight away and Lacey becomes a big part of her new life with her new found dad and a blessing to Tommy who is finding his feet as a parent. Feelings begin to develop between Lacey and Tommy but With a 10 year age gap between them Tommy refuses to let love take it's course, after doing the deed puts a stop to it going any further. Deserved is a heartwarming story, one that will have you pulling your hair out for the characters one minute and smiling for them the next, I love it when a book has you rooting for the characters to get what they deserve for once and that in this story is each other. Told in dual pov's and leads to hea. arc received for review purposes BUY LINK http://getbook.at/vjdeserved
