![]() REVIEW Sweet read Firstly let me compliment the cover, I love it and it's mainly what caught my attention. I enjoyed Honey Bee, a sweet debut romance novel by Heather Shere. laid back characters with no heavy drama or angst within the plot. Well written and easy to follow. Sophia moves to a small town following the death of her mother wanting to live out her mother's dreams of harvesting her own honey and produce. Sophia is a kind natured character and likeable. Sophia's home faces the practice field of the local school football team which is how she first meets Bo who teaches the kids. Most books have two main characters but Triton Sophia's dog definitely had a major part in this story with his shenanigans. A slow plot, Honey Bee really is a laid back read that would be a perfect read for lazy days. Bo has been a one night stand kind of guy for so long he really doesn’t know what to do about his feelings for Sophia and Sophia just waits for him to catch up. Told in dual pov's with humour and the occasional intimacy increasing the pace, Honey Bee is also a beautiful story of new friendships healing and new beginnings. I laughed along to Triton's antics and enjoyed Bo and Sophia's journey to happiness. Perfect for those with naughty mischievous dogs you will totally love Triton. I would of preferred a bit of angst, a quicker pace but thats personal preference and overall Honey Bee is an enjoyable read, fantastic for a debut book.
