The Original story previously named Lucky Me was part of the Tempting Luck anthology 2018. Luck? When rock star Jamie Fontaine finds himself stranded in Dublin due to a snowstorm, he has no battery juice or charger for his cell phone. He has no email passwords and he can't remember a single phone number for assistance from work. To top it all off there are no hotel rooms available in Dublin, due to the St. Patrick's Day celebrations. However, just when he'd thought all hope was gone a gorgeous girl in a bar called Daisy, gives him his lucky break. A break with contingencies that puts him to work, but not in his usually famous rock star way. ![]() Fate and a whole lot of luck. Jamie's day goes from bad to worse when the weather gods just aren't on his side. He winds up stuck in Ireland. Now, I can think of a lot of worse things than partying with the Irish on St Patrick's day but Jamie is trying to get to his bandmate's wedding on time and hits one brick wall after another in his mission to get there. With a dead phone, no hire cars and no hotels available, he finds himself being taken in by a landlady of a pub. Daisy has loved Jamie from the world-famous rock band DisRoyaled for years so when he turns up at her pub she's floored. Daisy is a down to earth, adorable, no mouth to filter kind of woman. I loved her! Jamie and Daisy have instant chemistry. Two great characters that have me excited to read more and wanting to know how it all turns out with them. Fun, flirty, hot, Lucky Break is the kind of novella you will read in one sitting and will leave you wanting more. I can't wait for the next book and the continuation of their journey in Lucky Chance. Told in first person, Jamie's pov. Arc received for review purposes.
