![]() From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Ashley comes a new story in her Dream Man series… Charlotte “Lottie” McAlister is in the zone. She’s ready to take on the next chapter of her life, and since she doesn’t have a man, she’ll do what she’s done all along. She’ll take care of business on her own. Even if that business means starting a family. The problem is, Lottie has a stalker. The really bad kind. The kind that means she needs a bodyguard. Enter Mo Morrison. Enormous. Scary. Quiet. Mo doesn’t say much, and Lottie’s used to getting attention. And she wants Mo’s attention. Badly. But Mo has a strict rule. If he’s guarding your body, that’s all he’s doing with it. However, the longer Mo has to keep Lottie safe, the faster he falls for the beautiful blonde who has it so together, she might even be able to tackle the demons he’s got in his head that just won’t die. But in the end, Lottie and Mo don’t only have to find some way to keep hands off until the threat is over, they have to negotiate the overprotective Hot Bunch, Lottie’s crazy stepdad, Tex, Mo’s crew of frat-boy commandos, not to mention his nutty sisters. All before Lottie finally gets her Dream Man. And Mo can lay claim to his Dream Girl. **Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.** QUIET MAN teaser chapter and buy links here: http://bit.ly/2JKlwXw ![]() I love these 1001 Dark Nights novellas they help you get a taste for the authors writing if you haven't read them before or if you have read them and love the authors work you get a nice additional bonus. Quiet man is a bonus to the Dream man series, it's a standalone but has characters involved from the series and also The Rock Chick series. Charlotte McAlister AKA “Lottie” is also the sister of Jet from the Rock Chick series and she has a stalker, Lottie is a headliner dancer in a strip club and her boss after receiving a note threatening Lottie looks up his contacts and hires someone to guard her. Mo is a huge intimidating guy, ex-forces, a giant of a guy with a soft center and Lottie is immediately attracted to him, he's also very insecure through past breakups and can't believe someone as gorgeous as Lottie would want him. Despite Lottie's forwardness and advances Mo takes his job seriously and does not mix business with pleasure and as he begins to get his head around being with a girl like Lottie lays down the law that if anything is going to happen between them it has to be when his job has finished and the stalker is found. When Lottie's stalker is finally found though the hotness switch is definitely on. I enjoyed Quiet man but found it a little confusing at times when other characters where introduced later, I hadn't a clue who was who, I new a little having read the first two Rock Chicks books but I still got a little lost and would have preferred the plot focusing on more from the main characters. I enjoyed the plot, the slow-burn to Lottie and Mo finally getting together and the excitement in-between but I think someone who is a Kristen Ashley fan and has read the series would definitely get more out of this book. Quiet Man is a good mix of hotness, action and humor moments. Lottie is a woman with backbone and sass, Mo is a quiet hunk of hotness who is used to a woman having all the words being a brother to 4 sisters. This wasn't told in my preferred pov and was told in Third-person, I prefer first person pov, getting into the characters head. Quiet man leads to a hea with no cliffhanger.
