![]() 'Love can either destroy you, or bring you back to life. Dom, Casa & Harlow 1992 Casa only cares for two things in this life: his club—the Devil’s Highwaymen—and sex. That is until he meets Harlow. She’s feisty, passionate, and doesn’t fall for his usual charms. She’s perfect for him…but she belongs to someone else. Harlow is broken; she has been for a long time. With nowhere to go, and worse, no one to go to, she’s become a clubslut for the West Side Bangers. That is until a chance meeting with her old friend and former lover, Dom, brings their worlds colliding together once more. Dom is on a one-way train to hell; the guilt of losing his soulmate is killing him—but he can’t tell anyone about it. That is until he finds a brief respite from his suffering in the form of Harlow, the woman whose heart he once broke. With all three set on their own self-destructive paths, they’ve only got one chance to make things right—but only if they can learn to forgive, and then to love again. The funny thing about love is, it’s both painless and painful, and not even death can end the suffering. #MCRomance US: https://goo.gl/dE1H8q UK: https://goo.gl/GcSVme ![]() I struggled with this one. It's definitely a series you have to start from the beginning and even though I had read book one previously I was still trying to piece things together. Main Characters are Dom, Harlow and Casa. Ride or Die 2 begins with Dom rescuing Harlow from another club. Harlow and Dom had grown up together and been together in a relationship but Dom even though he loved her had to let her go because he wasn't in love with her, Dom was in love with his best friend Butch. Harlow was a safe option and kept any suspicion away from him being gay. Following Butch's death when Dom saw Harlow again he couldn't leave her or could stand that she was now just a club slut for another club and felt guilty for the life she now had. Harlow was from an affluent family and because of her relationship with Dom they disowned her. Harlow has only had Dom for a long time until he let her go. Unrequited love tore them apart but loyalty brought them back together. Harlow, although she came across as a strong character she was also a doormat at times and it annoyed me how she caved easily and also how she accepted how both men treated her. Now Casa, what a cocky character, also known as Casanova, he's a man slut, his view of women is for one use, sex, putting it bluntly he's single minded and a pig. Once Casa meets sassy Harlow though it's game over for Casa and he falls hard. Ride or Die 2 is about letting go, moving on, finding and accepting love and new beginnings all wrapped up in this gritty MC world. Amongst club business, danger and enemies, Casa finds love something you never would think possible from his introduction, Dom starts to move on from Butch's death and gets his friend Harlow back and Harlow gets the love she deserves. A hea all round and no doubt Doms journey is to be continued. I didn't bond with the characters, I nearly gave up a few times due to the characters behaviour, things said and the way the plot was but I stuck with it. I read it, but can't say I enjoyed it
