The first full length Gypsy Brothers novel from the smash hit author Lili St. Germain.
How much is a life worth?
I grew up in Colombia, the daughter of a wealthy drug lord. I lived a life of extravagance, until one day a drug run went horribly wrong and everything came crashing down around us.
I was given away. A payment for a debt. The Gypsy Brothers Motorcycle Club became my new owners, and I did everything I could to survive.
But falling in love with the man who owned me wasn't part of the plan...
REVIEW - CARTEL BOOK 1
Cartel & MC in one book
Love the combination, so of course it's dark and gritty has violence and sex.
Mariana is the victim of the sins of her father taken by the Cartel as payment then passed onto Dornan VP of the gypsy brothers and son of the Cartel boss to make an example of her and sell her.
Dornan is subject to his father's bidding a puppet in his father's empire were Cartel and the MC world's work together.
Mariana is a young woman, feisty and with backbone and through all she endured still didn’t break.
Dornan falls for Mariana, how could he not with her attitude and challenges that drew him farther in.
A good story told in Marianas pov but for Dornan told in third person an odd combination that I couldn't adjust to and would of preferred dual pov's.
One of a trilogy that I would like to see through to the end.
My only negative about the plot is Dornan is married, has kids and keeps Mariana in an apartment like a bit on the side, Dornan obviosly doesent care for his wife and refuses to speak of her. Mariana is held captive and reliant on Dornan who brings her food, she has no way out of the apartment. Mariana knows Dornan is married but he becomes her savior saving her from his father and becomes her only companion which eventually leads to more.
I want to see how this plays out in the next book my only negative is Dornan being married so I'm hoping that changes.
The second scorching novel in the USA Today bestselling Cartel trilogy from the smash-hit author Lili St Germain.
They say love conquers all.
It's a lie.
Five days a week, I dressed in smart business clothes. I painted my face, and went to work as an accountant. But nothing about my life was normal.
For eight years I had been the property of the Gypsy Brothers Motorcycle Club. I laundered their money so well they'd never let me leave. My only glimmer of light was the man I loved. The man who had saved me.
His love had been the only thing that kept the demons at bay. But he'd become so immersed in the cartel's brutal business that I hardly knew him anymore.
Dornan had been my salvation, but he was also my undoing.
Would he pull me down into the darkness until he destroyed me? Could I save him?
Did I even want to?
REVIEW: KINGPIN BOOK 2
Wow I don't even know how to sum it up
Kingpin is book 2 in a trilogy.
In the previous book Mariana was taken as payment for her father's debt by the Cartel then into the possession of the VP of an MC who is also the Cartel boss's son.
I had no clue were this story would go and now 9 years later Mariana is still a prisoner, still bound by the debt and still with Dornan who keeps her as his mistress. My reservations about Dornan being a cheating man, well it's an accepted thing in the Mafia and Dornan can do just about whatever he wants.
Mariana is beginning to open her eyes, grab the backbone of the girl she once was and hopefully she will get her hea.
Told In Mariana's pov and third person the plot carries a heaviness of lies, deceit, murder, angst, danger and a whole lot of grit, this trilogy is definitely a gripping read and I'm looking forward to the final book Empire.
The breathtaking finale to the USA Today bestselling Cartel trilogy.
I should have known it would always come down to this, from the very moment I laid eyes on him in that motel.
I should have known his salvation was too good to be true.
Because it's all gone now, the impossible, secret love I had for him bleeding away in the darkness that came afterwards.
Now there's only hate.
Now I just want to escape.
Even if it means I have to kill him to be free.
REVIEW: EMPIRE BOOK 3
Ten years ago, the Gypsy Brothers took me.
It started with blood.
It was always going to end the same way.
The question was – whose blood? Who got to live, and who had to die?
If you think you know how my story ends – you have no idea.
Wow absolutely blown away by this trilogy of angst, danger, pain and corruption.
At 19 love saved me, a dangerous man with a heart that was determined to own mine.
At twenty nine love almost freed me....But in the end, love broke me.
Empire is a gripping and explosive end to the Cartel trilogy.
Mariana has loved and lost, first her teenage love Esteban then Dornan, the man she loved is no longer there in his place stands the image of his father.
I'd been in love with Dornan Ross for almost a decade. Slept in his bed, sewn up his wounds , tasted his blood, seen inside his soul. I was the mistress of a monstrous man.
John, president of the Gypsy brothers becomes Mariana's saviour but a story like this would it ever see a happily ever after ?
Trapped between three men: One that I loved, one that I used to love and one that I despised with every fibre of my being.
There's even more bloodshed, federal involvement, corruption, betrayal, angst and drama to the hilt in this jam packed gripping read, if this was a movie ide be gripping my seat wide eyed.
Praise to Lili St. Germain this Cartel trilogy is one hell of a white nuckle read and Empire is a brilliant conclusion that left me sad with a feeling of bittersweet.
Empire like previous books is told in Mariana's pov but other characters told in third person, Empire leads to the first book in the Gypsy Brothers series were you could go from this book and jump right into that series.
I have read the first book in the gypsy brothers series and having now read Empire it's so much clearer with regards to Juliette and her hatred towards Dornan that I need to do a re-read.
