Oh wow, this had all the feels. I absolutely love a journey in a book and I definitely feel like I have been on one angst y heartbreaking and heartwarming journey with both Maren and Noah. Tie Breaker is a story of second chances, forgiveness, mistakes, young love, sacrifice, the list goes on. Tie breaker at times had me gripping my kindle with the unknown, I was impatiently wanting to know how everything was going to work out for Noah and Maren, I felt completely connected to the characters. Maren Murphy has been in love with the boy across the street since she was 10 years old, a love that was not given in return, well not how Maren wanted she was seen as the friend, the girl, never a girl friend until she became a teen and Noah started to notice. When Maren's Grandfather passes away, Maren returns home London after years of playing tennis as her career and living in London, something she is dreading, not because of her Grandfathers death but because of the boy she left behind, the hurt she still nurses from one life changing event that spurred on her decision to leave for her career. The story goes from past to present, how Maren had become a budding tennis player, how she was on the verge of stardom, how her relationship with Noah went from friends to more and after each chapter you were brought to the present, Maren's hate, the hurt, Noah's regrets and his pain. This is my second book by P. Dangelico and another of her books I cold not put down, I am seriously going to have to binge read this author. The writing is flawless, the balance is brilliant I didn't once lose interest and she kept me clinging on not giving anything away in the plot until the right time. Don't worry if your not a tennis fan, there is no tennis going on in the story, the focus is completely on the characters and what is going on in there life now and then more than the sport Maren plays A brilliant childhood friends to lovers story and a second chance romance. I would definitely Recommend it. Arc received from Netgalley for review purposes
