I have to admit, as a reader, I'm done with books that contain sex clubs and BDSM, they don't really hold my interest as much anymore. Wicked Knight jumps straight into the sex club realm when Asher takes a first glimpse of the new housekeeper and he is instantly attracted to her. When Hannah accidentally breaks an expensive vase, Asher offers her a way of paying for it by going to the Wicked Horse sex club with him. Hannah agrees. I can't believe she did that so quickly, I know the woman was struggling for money but paying for a vase with sex? I had to roll my eyes, I did that A bit in the first few chapters. All this is within the first chapter, the vase, the offer? and I thought wow, that was quick, no background on the characters, no build up to getting to know them, the story jumps straight to it? Hannah is working 3 jobs and can't afford to pay for the vase so in her eyes she has no choice but to accept Asher's way of paying for the vase. As the story progresses, this is when I began to enjoy it more, when it holds my interest more. Asher and Hannah start to have more of a relationship other than just meeting at a sex club, she continues to clean in his home and be the housekeeper and eventually, they begin to have more sex in the "normal" way and not just at Wicked Horse. What started off as a book that at first came across as all sex and no plot, turned out to be enjoyable and I began to warm up to the bossy businessman. Asher was afraid to have "normal" relationship since his wife died, he was afraid and determined not to let anyone else in. Asher's way of ensuring he protected himself was by keeping his sex life professional which is why at first when he found he was attracted to Hannah the vase was an opportunity, he wanted her in an environment where he felt comfortable. There's more to the plot than just sex, Hannah is battling for custody of her daughter and Asher proves he has a softer side to his icy exterior more than once. Wicked Knight is a hot read, it took a few chapters to warm up to for me but I did enjoy it eventually. Told in first person dual pov and leads to a hea. Download WICKED KNIGHT now:
