He thinks he's too big for me. I like a challenge.
On my 25th birthday I received a letter. My mother had left me a piece of land in her will-- the farm I grew up on as a child. Her last request was that I restore it... and how could I say no?
So I returned to my little town full of big memories. Nothing has changed here.
Except for Grant Werther.
When we were kids, I barely saw him. Now I can't miss him. The guy is HUGE; all muscle and beard, like some hardened mountain man. He's intimidating... and definitely sexy, in an alpha-male-cowboy kind of way.
Turns out his dad owns part of my farm and he's got the papers to prove it.
That means I can't do anything without Grant's approval. On top of that, this jerk says I'm too “city girl” to be here.
And the way he openly stares at my ass in my cut-off jeans makes it clear what he thinks I'd be good at.
He's the biggest man I've ever seen and I admit, I'm curious what he's hiding in his boxers.
I didn't know he'd catch me peeking.
Now he won't stop teasing me. He keeps saying I could never handle him, that he'd break me in two. I know I don't have to prove him wrong...
But I want to.
This is a full length novel with a HEA and NO cheating!
Penny Wylder writes just that-- wild romances. Happily Ever Afters are always better when they're a little dirty, so if you're looking for a page turner that will make you feel naughty in all the right places, jump right in and leave your panties at the door!

Beth Cornett is the town good girl, so staying out of the way of the motorcycle club’s dangerous members was a no brainer. Unfortunately, she manages to catch the eye of Razer, who has every intention of tempting her to take him on despite her misgivings. When her worst fears are realized, she is left heartbroken, determined to forget her walk on the wild side.
Razer was not going to change for any woman, not even Beth. Their lifestyles were too different; betrayed she ran. Realizing his mistake too late; she was not about to forgive and forget. It takes a killer intent on targeting Beth to bring her back to him and The Last Riders for protection. Razer may have learned his lesson, but this time, as long as she is at the club, she has to play by their rules.
This work of fiction is intended for mature audiences only. All sexually active characters portrayed in this ebook are eighteen years of age or older. Please do not buy if strong sexual situations, multiple partners, moderate violence and explicit language offends you.
I had cringe moments but was won over at the end.
A preachers daughter and a member of an MC.
A strange combination but it happened. I did struggle with the story many times and I've read a lot of MC romance.
I have read books were the MC have the club whores, each club gives them different names but in Razors club they have to earn 6 votes then they become a member who then basically serve the members with sex. There are no Old ladies in this club.
To become a member they have to bed any 6 of the original members of which there are 8, Razor included so Razor will always in theory be a cheat and Beth had to accept the way of the club.
I struggled with the above and Beth forgiving so easily too without a fight or using backbone and Razors uncaring and whoring ways also grated on me.
I liked it, cringed a lot, but it was ok.
I listened on audio and narration was good for a female narrator doing many characters voices due to this being third person.
I think if this book was first person and Razor had a voice and his own thoughts it would of been different, maybe I would of understood his ways better but alas ....
Contains lots of graphic sex, contains cheating and leads to a hea.
He wasn’t meant to be on my radar, he was definitely the off-limits guy.
My brother’s best friend, my friend’s ex, but most of all he was my boss.
Hawk Carnage resembled one thing, and one thing only. Sex.
He used it, he knew it, he lived it. Hawk owned the largest lingerie company in the world, and I was his leading lady.
But now business and friendship were about to be crossed. The lines blurred, and I was ready to dip my toes in the forbidden water. Because no matter how much I said I could refrain from Hawk Carnage, now was not the time.
He was to be my fake fiancé.
And I was about to sink into that forbidden water, with Hawk’s hands clutching my sides.
Lord help me because I was about to enjoy every moment of it.
Even if it was just for fun.
Even if it would ruin everything.
I was going to dive in head first.

A brilliant first time collaboration for TL Smith and Melissa Jane..... give me more!.
I loved cocky fiance, not only is Hawk a moody, bossy sex god but Britta is one sassy vixen, brilliant pairing of characters.
A friends to lovers romance. Britta is the sister of four protective brothers who are all friends with Hawk and in addition Hawk is also her boss.
Britta bumps into her ex who cheated on her with her best friend and is reminded of the wedding invite. Britta puts her mouth into action to show she has moved on and states she will be attending with her fiance, only she Hasn't got one well not until her boss calls her while shes talking to Roman her ex and a light bulb goes off.
Cocky fiance is a fun and flirty read with a lot of hotness and the fact there are four other sexy brothers has me salivating for more.
A great plot with added drama here and there.
In reflection though, I was left wondering what happened to the ex and best friend, loose ends.
In summary a great read that contains everything I look for to keep me hooked from start to finish.
Told in first persons dual pov and leads to a hea.

It all started with a contract signed by him, then by me, while our families watched. While my father sat silent, a man defeated, giving his daughter to the Benedetti monsters.
I obeyed. I played my part. I signed my name and gave away my life. I became their living, breathing trophy, a constant symbol of their power over us.
That was five years ago.
Then came the time for him to claim me. For Salvatore Benedetti to own me.
I had vowed vengeance. I had learned hate. And yet, nothing could have prepared me for the man who now ruled my life.
I expected a monster, one I would destroy. But nothing is ever black or white. No one is either good or evil. For all his darkness, I saw his light. For all his evil, I saw his good. As much as he made me hate him, a passion hotter than the fires of hell burned inside me.
I was his, and he was mine.
My very own monster.
I owned the DeMarco Mafia Princess. She belonged to me now. We had won, and they had lost. And what better way to teach a lesson than to take from them that which is most precious? Most beloved?
I was the boy who would be king. Next in line to rule the Benedetti Family. Lucia DeMarco was the spoils of war. Mine to do with as I pleased.
It was my duty to break her. To make her life a living hell. My soul was dark, I was hell bound. And there was no way out, not for either of us. Because the Benedetti family never lost, and in our wake, we left destruction. It’s how it had always been. How I believed it would always be.
Author’s Note: Salvatore and Lucia’s story is a steamy standalone romance. No cliffhanger and no cheating. It is intended for mature readers.

I was his, and he was mine.
My very own monster.
A thrilling and captivating mafia romance.
The story begins with Lucia being signed over to the Salvatore Benedetti.
Enemies, two mafia families at war and In the crossfire Lucia and Salvatore.
At the hands of their fathers war Lucia had become Salvatore's possession, an agreement between both fathers.
Lucia's father gave her over willingly to the enemy and Salvatore's responsibility was to keep her.
The same night Lucia no longer belonged to the De-Marco family she was sent away to finish school, always guarded and always watched until her 21st birthday when Lucia was brought back to take her place with Salvatore and become his possession.
At first Salvatore came across as a monster and heartless, he was next in line to the Mafia boss but as the story progressed Salvatore showed the true man behind the mask he had to wear and he was nothing like his father.
I loved the progression in Salvatore and Lucia's relationship, from enemies to lovers.
An exciting plot with danger, angst and let me tell you Salvatore is so hot! with his domineering alpha ways.
The chemistry between both characters was fiery and the sex scenes well written and intense.
A great read and a great journey. I loved both characters. Lucia has backbone and fire and when both characters clashed the sparks were huge.
"I wanted to go home."
"Moving to America wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for the family next door. Because of my so-called guardian – and I used that term lightly – we were the latest family to take up residency in Thirteenth Street, and I was the sole target of the bitch over the fence."
"But, for me, life was about to get a lot worse."
"Noah Messina, Ellie's step-brother, had decided to join her torment-the-new-girl-until-she-cracks mission."
"There had been a fight in their driveway last weekend – between Noah and some other tattooed douchebag – that had progressed into our yard, resulting in the windshield of my car being smashed when Noah pummeled his opponent through it.
Thinking back now I had to admit that I sort of overreacted when I stalked outside in nothing but a Coldplay t-shirt and a black thong and tossed an entire can of white gloss paint over the hood of Noah's black Lexus in retaliation. I guess it had felt damn good to fight back instead of letting them walk all over me…"
"Destroying Noah's car with paint was like waving a red rag in front of a bull.
He lost it.
Right there in my driveway, with his t-shirt ripped from his body and blood dripping from his eyebrow, Noah Messina had thrown the biggest man-tantrum I'd ever seen before declaring war on me..."
"I was going to lose my shit over the girl-next-door."
"God, three months of having her live next door to me and I still felt like slamming my head into the garden wall – now worse than ever since she had challenged me."
"The defiance in her eyes as she stared at me down before bending over the hood of my baby and emptying the can of paint was something that struck a chord inside of me. I'd never been so angry or turned on in my life."
"Pure rage had flooded my veins, driven on even further when Teagan taunted me with her potty mouth and yeah, I'd kind of lost it with her. Problem was I had an even uglier temper, and Friday night Teagan Connolly ignited it like no one had before.
When she slapped me and pressed her tight little body against mine, taunting me with that sharp tongue of hers, I'd never been so close to putting my hands on a woman in my life.
Except instead of hurting her, I wanted to toss her sexy little ass on the hood of my car and take her right there, not caring who saw us. The urge to be inside her was like nothing I'd ever felt in my life..."
Warning: Due to its explicit content Treacherous is recommended for readers of eighteen years or above."
I loved this book for so many reasons.
Once I started I couldn't put it down. I fell into the plot with ease and continued in anticipation. I loved Chloe's writing and the characters. This is my first book by this author and I can't wait to read more.
Treacherous had the same feel as Bully by Penelope Douglas and Fear me by BB Reid.
"There used to be only one thing that could scare the life out of me. The darkness.
Now there was something else..
The boy next door ".
Noah is the boy next door and Teagan is the fiery Irish girl who won't be bullied by anyone.
Tragic backstory's for both characters I was completely engaged and captivated by the plot.
Noah is an underground fighter but not by choice, he fights to pay for his mum's medical bills and to pay off the sins of his father.
Teagan originally from Ireland lost her mum in a tragic car accident has a father serving time in prison and is now in the care of her uncle.
"Noah Messina LIGHTS me up like a firework and I can't even begin to explain the multitude of emotions he rouses inside of me."
Treacherous is hot, intense and as the story goes deeper you can't help but form an attachment to Noah and Teagan especially when their love-hate icey relationship begins to thaw and the world seems to be against them in one way or another.
This is not a standalone, Noah and Reagan's story continues over 4 books which is a long journey but I'm hoping to read more, I loved both these characters and their story was bitter sweet.
"The crazy inside of me needs the crazy inside of you".
Told in first person dual pov's.
When I’m offered the chance to leave New York to live in London for three months, I can’t pack my suitcase fast enough.
As soon as I touch down I’m obsessing over red telephone boxes, palaces and all the black cabs.
But my favorite place is the tube. It’s wall-to-wall hot British men in suits.
When I’m offered a temporary job working for a barrister, I say, sign me up.
On my first commute into work, it’s a total accident when I lose my balance and fall against the most handsome Brit alive. He’s as charming as James Bond and as suave as Mr. Darcy. I want to lick tea from his hard abs and listen to his accent all night long.
Turns out Mr. Handsome is my new boss. And his attitude isn’t as hot as his gorgeous face, broad shoulders and tight ass. He’s brooding, short-tempered and the most arrogant man I’ve ever met.
As we’re fighting, out of nowhere he kisses me. And I’m pretty sure I see fireworks over Big Ben and hear God Save the Queen.
I wasn’t looking for the fairytale but I might have found my knight in shining armor. The problem is he lives an ocean away.

Knight takes King or is it King takes Knight? either way they seized the day!
Another favourite from Louise Bay, I love the mix of American and British characters.
Alexander has a failed marriage, he is a Barrister and doesn't have time for relationships or love and is completely married to his job, trying to fulfil the role his father exceeded in.
Violet has been cheated on and used by her former partner and isn't looking for love either, she's a brazen one night stand kind of woman.
After losing her job Violet goes to England to family and by word of mouth gets a job working in a law office and in turn becomes Alexander's assistant.
Alexander is moody and demanding, a workaholic who doesn't like disruption to his work and Violet has a task on her hands to get Mr Knightly organised and has to sneak into his office when he is in court for papers and items she needs to get her ob done.
This ballsy American woman woman not only gets the job done but also has a breakthrough with Alexanders none existent personal life.
What starts off as a hot office affair becomes more. The story is charming, engaging, addictive with great characters. I love Louise Bay's writing and her hot, charming and alluring stories that I can never put down until the last page and I am looking forward to whatever comes next.

A long time ago, Joel Wentworth told me he’d love me for infinity . . . and I can’t give up hope that it might have been true.
How long does it take to get over your first love?
Eight years should be long enough. My mind knows that, but there’s no convincing my heart.
Guys like Joel weren't supposed to fall for girls like me. He had his pick of women at University, but somehow the laws of nature were defied and we fell crazy in love.
After graduation, Joel left to pursue his career in New York. He wanted me to go with him but my life was in London.
We broke up and my heart split in two.
I haven’t seen or spoken to him since he left.
If only I’d known that I’d love him this long, this painfully, this desperately. I might have said yes all those years ago. He might have been mine all this time in between.
Now, he’s moving back to London and I need to get over him before he gets over here.
But how do I forget someone who gave me so much to remember?

A SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE.
Set in London with British characters. Joel Wentworth is the hot sexy guy in college. Ava Elliot is a shy girl, lacks confidence and sees Joel as out of her league.
When Joel becomes interested in Ava and they become study partners Ava struggles with seeing herself as worthy of Joel and doesn't share their relationship with her friends.
Joel and Ava live in a bubble, they meet daily in the library, study, they have hot passionate sex, they share thoughts and words of love and forever but Ava lacks confidence and in the end that confidence ends their relationship.
Joel and Ava have chemistry and are destined to be together, Hopful is a story of regrets, mistakes and maturity.
Joel and Ava are part of a close knit group of friends so despite there growing love for one-another they keep it a secret. Joel would shout it from the roof tops but Ava wants to keep it between them, have their own little bubble with no-one making judgement.
"A long time ago, Joel Wentworth told me he’d love me for infinity . . . and I can’t give up hope that it might have been true".
Joel eventually left for New York and Ava stayed not able to stand up for what she feels or what she believes in.
8 years later Joel returns and Ava has never got over him and it's time to prove she belongs to him and has always belonged to him and time to come clean to her friends that the reason why she has never dated is because there has only ever been one guy for her.....Joel
The plot goes from past to present. The past shares how Joel and Ava meet, their journey to love, the encounters while studying, the secret meetings, the hot passionate sex, rotating from one chapter in the past then going to to the present.
The Present plot is Ava's apprehension of Joels return and her thoughts of would he hate me for not leaving with him, would he still love me?, is he married?
Ava still has the same friends from college and they all live in London, so meeting Joel is inevitable or maybe destiny?.
I loved this group of friends with the British banter, I listened this on audio and it had that Bridgette Jones feel. You could picture them all sat in a pub, laughing and joking taking the piss out of one another.
Hopful is a hot steamy read with a story that does actually give you hope for the characters.
A great story told in Ava's pov, leads to hea with no cheating, angst or drama. A feel good read with plenty hot scenes.
I’m a Doomsday Sinner. A biker to my very soul. Women have always been the same—interchangeable. Until her. She loves my control and craves my touch. Now she’s mine. I’ve claimed her in every way possible and I won’t let anything, least of all her, tear us apart.
I was on the holiday of a lifetime, until I ended up stranded in Archer’s Creek. Then I met a badass, Harley riding biker boy who laughed at me. He’s a bloody pain in the arse. Bossy and controlling, he’s the unexpectedly perfect guy at the worst moment—because even the strongest love can falter when a crazed psycho decides I need to die
Great debut book from Gemma Weir.
A reader first now an author and the reader passion showed through, it was like Gemma took everything I love in an MC romance and put it in the pages of Echo.
Possessive, bossy, sexy, dominant, Echo is all the above and more.
An insta-love romance that is scorching hot, I good chunk of this book is sex which are well written scenes and its a long book so that's a lot of sex but when you do get to the plot and the story, this is also engaging.
I do love a good storyline with some hotness thrown in and I definitely overindulged on Echo.
About the plot:
Olivia is a British girl backpacking around the U.S but when she is left stranded by her next ride from Archers Creek Texas which was just supposed to be a stop over Echo comes to her aid.
Insta attraction, insta love, insta lust, Olivia is quickly swept up in a whirlwind sizzling romance by this cave man biker who is completely enraptured by Olivia. Olivia just needs to get her head around this bossy bikers claiming ways.
"This man is a huge contradiction. He wants to claim me, own me, but I don't feel like property. I feel desired and worshipped and wrapped in his arms feels like the safest place in the world".
With the end of Olivia's visa looming and both of them falling deeper into each other, Echo getting even more bossy and possessive as Olivia finds work in a bar you would think that there's enough to keep you entertained but what's a good MC read without a kidnapping and danger and action thrown in.
Like I said Gemma threw everything I love about MC romance in this book and it was great.
"I wasn't looking for him. I came here to escape the monotony of my real life. Instead I got something I had no idea I even needed. Echo".
Great down to earth characters and extended characters that bring warmth and humour, I love the family feel of the club.
Great debut book, a pleasure to read and looking forward to more.
Told in first person dual pov, a value for money read with 99 chapters and leads to hea.

Oh I do love a best friends to lovers romance.
I've had fighting temptation on my kindle for such a loooong loooong time and it was just the book to get me out of a book funk.
Jax is the kind of guy alI the girls drool over in school, he's a bit of a manwhore and he has that bad boy vibe.
Jaxson's father has given his family a bad reputation and it's like Jaxson just lives up to everyone's expectations of him, he's closed off and doesn't let anyone in especially the judgemental people in his town.
Jules and Jax meet officially when Jules visits her mother's grave late at night just wanting to spend time with her, her loss still hurts and she misses her mum, so after climbing from the window of the home she now lives in with her Gram's she goes to the cemetery
Jules puts herself in danger being in a secluded place late at night and is attacked, Jax hears screams while walking by and rescues Jules who is nearly a rape victim.
Jax becomes her protector and best friend from that night.
Jax never feels worthy enough for Jules and although Jules is in love with Jaxson nothing further develops from friendship.
I loved the journey in this book, Jax leaves for the Navy wanting to get out of a town that drags him down and Jules doesn't hear from him for years despite her efforts to contact him then following an incident were Jax is hurt badly he refuses to see her.
Jax infuriated me, got me annoyed and angry for the way he treated Jules at times but he was also a sexy possessive Ahole you can't help but love.
And Jules? well she frustrated me to with how forgiving she was over and over, I mean, let the guy suffer in guilt for a bit before you throw yourself at him but I suppose Jax was just that guy who was to hard to resist.
This is a story were hero saves heroine and heroine saves him right back. A love that is destined to be but has an a-hole alpha that is to stubborn to fall in love through fear that there could be a part of him like his father.
A great story and journey through the years of Jax & Jules which had everything that has the emotions up and down, hot sex scenes, a possessive alpha, Jax's hot friends, doting likeable girlfriends for Jules, danger, kidnapping, angst and humour, yep it has it all, I loved It!
I would never have guessed this was a debut book it's so well written and I am looking forward to more from KC Lynn, if this is her first her current writing must be awesome.
fighting temptation leads to hea and is told in first person dual pov.

Nineteen. There’s something about that number; it not only brought us together, bonding us forever, it also played a hand in tearing us apart.
The nineteenth of January 1996. I’ll never forget it. It was the day we met. I was seven and she was six. It was the day she moved in next door, and the day I developed my first crush on a girl.
Exactly nineteen years later, all my dreams came true when she became my wife. She was the love of my life. My soul mate. My everything. The reason I looked forward to waking up every morning.
Then tragedy struck. Nineteen days after we married, she was in an accident that would change our lives forever. When she woke from her coma, she had no memory of me, of us, of the love we shared.
I was crushed. She was my air, and without her I couldn’t breathe.
The sparkle that once glistened her eyes when she looked at me was gone. To her, now, I was a stranger. I had not only lost my wife, I had lost my best friend.
But I refused to let this tragedy be the end of us. That’s when I started to write her letters, stories of our life. Of when we met. About the happier times, and everything we had experienced together.
What we had was far too beautiful to be forgotten.

Love is somewhere near the bottom of Lily Thomas’ list of life goals, right next to competitive eating and underwater cave diving. She’s spent six years pirouetting and pliéing her way up the ranks of the New York Ballet with her eye on the prize and love in the back seat. But now that Blane Baker -- Lily’s long time crush -- is finally single, she’ll throw her rules out the window without thinking twice.
Reality with Blane isn’t as epic as the fantasy she imagined, and the truth sends her spinning straight into the arms of the man she never knew she’d always wanted.
West Williams has been friends with Lily since the day she moved into their building and he saved her armoire from a swift, sudden death by staircase. Their friendship has always been easy, the boundaries clearly defined. With neither of them willing to risk their relationship, they’ve drifted happily through the years as companions, never considering more.
That is, until they do. And that realization changes everything.
I loved this friends to lovers romance.
A friends sit-com feel as all friends live in the same apartment block, share laughs and good times together, they wander into each others apartments and are a close knit group of friends but what happens when lines begin to get blurred?
A slow burn romance.
Lily is a ballet dancer who has landed the lead role in Swan lake and along side her is her dream partner and crush Blane Baker.
West is a teacher, a hottie, he's the kind of guy who just hasn't met the right girl yet, once upon a time he thought he had but didn't have the connection. West has one night stands and when he first met Lily he was in a relationship so from there they have both just friend zoned each other despite their closeness.
This is one of those relationships where all their friends can see clearly that West and Lily are in love with each other and are all just waiting for the penny to drop and one of them to be brave enough to make a move.
I loved the build up in this book. Lily's mistakes with her current crush, realising that not all fantasies are as good as they are built up to be and West realising after all these years that he is actually in love with Lily.
A great book with a great feel to it.
I listened this on audio and the narration was perfect. Looking forward to reading more in this series.

It’s my turn to fight the shady Organization that’s dug its fucking claws into every business in my town. Setting up my trap while keeping my friends safe is a challenge – and my private life shouldn’t interfere.
Except it does. Because the only way to reach the center of the web is to crawl right into the spider’s lair – and that turns out to be the Cronin Scarlet Hotel. Luxury hotel with a kink, and my regular haunt.
The perfect way in. Nobody will bat an eye if I ask for my usual relief from stress in one of their stylish pain rooms with some random girl who likes to dom. It will only take a phone call.
But there’s one complication: Mia.
A very sexy complication. She works at the hotel as a cleaning maid, and she’s prim and proper and damn pretty. So buttoned up, her gaze so icy when she looks at me, she pushes all my buttons. I want to tie her up, I want her to tie me up, I want to try every filthy kink possible with her.
But she doesn’t want anything to do with me. Or at least, she didn’t, until the last time I happened to be there. One searing hot kiss and I was lost.
Why do I want a girl who’s nothing like the dominant women I usually go for? And how the hell am I going to keep my mind on taking down the corrupted Organization when she’s around?
Standalone. Mature content. Romantic suspense.

I'm actually on the fence with this one.
A year and a half since the previous book and the book literally starts with the reader expecting to know or remember what the organisation is, what Rook's relationship is with Storm and Hawk from the previous books and what the heck has gone down before, sorry but I have read a lot of books since and an intro would of been helpful or something that said previously in the series ......
I was excited to read Rook after Jo's previous M&M and menage books not being by genre but I feel let down and I don't think for me Jo's earlier books The Inked brotherhood and Damage Control can be topped if this is your reading preference now that her writing has changed.
This is the last book of the series and I felt after reading it the author just wanted to draw a line under it and move on.
Rook is addicted to pain but also undercover in a sex hotel, Bdsm is his release and by Rook attending the hotel has it working to his advantage while he tries to gain information on the owner and take him down for his crimes.
Mia is also undercover as FBI as a maid and the two collide in an insta lust scene.
Rook's past isn't really addressed, neither does it go into depth so you can form a connection with Rook, yes he loves pain and needs release but to me that's self harm and not a sexual preference, this isn't addressed either.
After digesting this book over night I haven't many good things to say really, so I will have to let other readers to decide for themselves.

I didn’t know darkness and evil lurked inside me until I had to murder in order to survive. Forced to become my own worst enemy. With so much blood on my hands, I was surprised I could still see my own skin.
I played God while I was rotting in Hell. Thriving on control and power was the only way I knew how to live. There were no other options.
If you weren’t my friend, you were my foe.
If you weren’t with me, you were against me.
Traitors, as I called them. There were no imaginary lines. I’d crossed them all. No boundaries. No second chances. No redemption.
Not for me.
Only for her…
She loved me. Always convinced I was a saint, never believing I was just another sinner.
A fucking monster.
Until it was too late.
Except, I didn’t choose this life. It. Chose. Me.
Standalone contemporary romance.
El Santo swallowed me whole.
From the first pages I was gripped by the intensity, the darkness, the scenes that made me squirm, it sucked me in and even now I have finished I feel like I can't let go.
This is no ordinary love story, it's not intended to be and so cleverly written by M Robinson an author who hasn't failed me yet to deliver exactly what I need in a book.
Amira is a nine year old girl who witnesses the massacre of her family in her home.
Damien is a young soldier in a coumbian communist war, groomed by a leader who is cold, evil and calculated and Demon is expected to be his byproduct.
Damien and Amira meet in the darkest night of both their lives, a night that kills them but also saves them.
After the deaths of Amira's family members, a family who's only sin's have been an act of anti-communism, Amira comes out of hiding, Amira and Damien's eyes connect and you could say there's a instant connection.
Damien is ordered to kill Amira but fakes her death and later returns for her.
A boy who turns into a cruel, unrelenting and evil man to his enemies only has one soft spot and Amira owns it.
"I may have saved her life but she kept me alive. None of it made sense, our connection was solely linked through darkness".
The journey in this story, it broke me, soothed me, claimed me all of the above and more, and Damien? I hated and loved him as did Amira at times.
Damien was a paradox of contradictions. His words always spoke one thing, but his actions always proved another.
M.Robinson has yet again left me in awe, I didn't think any book could move me like road to nowhere did but with a similar feel to that story, It did move me over and over.
Looking forward to more in this story and counting down the days.
"He was the beginning to my end or maybe the end to my beginning".
El Santo is told in dual pov's, contains violence and sensitive scenes.

New York Times bestselling author Chantal Fernando returns to her latest, steamy Conflict of Interest series with this electrifying tale of murder, justice, and intense attraction.
Jaxon Bentley is a hardnosed criminal lawyer whose entire life revolves around his work. He’s been asked to represent Scarlett Reyes, a woman accused of murdering her police officer husband in cold blood. All the evidence points to Scarlett being guilty and Jaxon is sure it’s an open and shut case.
But when he meets his client, he can’t help but feel that she’s innocent and that there’s more to the story than meets the eye.
With a bit of digging, he uncovers a connection to the notorious Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club and realizes that Scarlett’s case is a complicated and difficult one. It certainly doesn’t help that the two share an immediate and passionate attraction. Will Jaxon be able to prove Scarlett’s innocence or are the two doomed to fail both in court and as a couple?
OMG! this book! loved it but giving 4.5 stars.
You know when your reading and you become completely drawn in by the characters, there's a feel good vibe and you can feel yourself being embraced in the plot like a big comfy blanket..... this is that book for me.
It starts off with Scarlett being accused of her dead husbands murder. A dirty cop who used to abuse his wife and the same night Scarlett leaves him he also disappears.
Scarlett is finally free from her husband living abroad with her aunt and is finally moving on but two years down the line her husband body is dragged out of water.
Jaxon is Scarletts lawyer and there's a lot of evidence against her.
For the brief encounter I had with Jaxon in the previous book I wanted more but he left the story suddenly due to a family issue.
In seducing the defendant you get to find out why.
This book isn't how I thought it would be and in a good way. The case is quickly over and the story concentrates on Scarlett getting her life together, making friends and Scarlett and Jaxon falling in love and the chemistry is sizzling.
I love all the extended characters there's friendships and humour, I particularly liked one character and was envisioning his book but then came a twist which saddened and shocked me.
I felt the story finished suddenly and there was no further mention of the sick aunt in France who Scarlett left behind, just closure things that rounds up a story and makes it complete lacked slightly.
I'm looking forward to more, I wanted to read Jaxons story after the last book and got it but now I'm stumped and wondering who Chantal will write next.
This is one of those books that is sweet and warm and you keep expecting something bad or some angst to happen and it doesent until bam it does and it leaves you jaw dropped.
Seducing the defendant is a heart warming and hot read with great characters and addictive plot.
Told in first person dual povs and leads to a hea.

He's a British rock star.
And my stepbrother.
What can go wrong?
He called himself Spider. I just knew him as the sinfully gorgeous guy with eyes of fire that fate sat next to me on the airplane. I didn’t know who he really was…rock star…my stepbrother.
He kissed me because he thought we’d never see each other again. We would.
Everyone warned me about him.
They said he was ruthless and cold and screwed up.
They said he’d leave me with a hole in my heart.
Maybe I should have listened.
Maybe I should have built up a fortress to keep him out.
But I crumbled instead.
Some have said there's an unbreakable thread that connects those who are destined to meet. If that’s true, then the moment he sat next to me, we were bound together forever.
He just had to figure it out before it’s too late
SPIDER is Free in KU or .99 cents for a very limited time!
5 Soul-mate stars.
"She and I are two parts of a whole".
"One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it"
It was the journey that made this a five star for me, the writing was smooth and easy to absorb and the characters moved me, I felt the heartache and the highs and Lowe's with them.
A heart warming and yet a heart breaking journey at times.
Told in two parts, Rose first meets Spider when she is just 11, it's late at night and Rose is in her sleepwear after escaping her mother's drunken or high boyfriend.
Spider who is 5 years older than Rose gives her money for food and his number if she ever needs help.
Skip forward a few years and Rose now 17 been in foster care and is adopted. This is still part one in this book.
After visiting friends Rose is on a plane to her adopted mother's and her new husband's home.
Spider and Rose meet again when seated on the same plane. Spider irritates Rose with his flirting and cockiness, she's a take no crap kind of girl. After flirting with Rose he then ends up having a quickie with an air stewardess in the loo while he thinks Rose is asleep. .
You could say Rose and Spiders reunion even though they don't know who each other are doesn't go down well but the connection is tangible.
The backstory for both characters doesn't go Into too much depth but Spiders man-whore ways and his distance from people is digestible with his past.
I suppose the shocker to this story should be Rose discovering Anne's new husband Robert is actually Spiders dad thus making Rose and Spider step brother and sister but it's so much more than a stepbrother romance and this isn't the main issue or story-line in this plot.
"He is intoxicating. Fascinating. Enthralling. Mesmerising. He's all I can think about
"She's a fucking flower and I want to open every petal, one by one"
Part two is years later, Spider becoming a rock-star, his addictions, his regrets. Rose following her ideal career trying to forget Spider and going to College, moving on until they meet again.
I loved watching the growth in these two characters. Fighting their feelings for each other, the intimate moments and the heartbreak before the road to acceptance, to change and to a hea.
Another story were destiny is Devine.
In the plot it's Intense at times, more through being anxious for the characters more than anything, so there's a little angst and drama.
Cheating? yes sort of, Rose has a boyfriend when Spider returns.
FYI: Spider is a tough guy...but he also reads Jane Eyre. There's something super hot about an alpha male who digs literature.... swoooon right there!
I loved this book, I loved the journey.
Told in first persons dual pov.

This is one mistake Sienna Landry can’t buy her way out of.
As Walker Gibson looks at her, then at the damage to his precious truck (that she may or may not have accidentally inflicted), she knows she’s in trouble. It’s not the busted headlight and dented grill that’s sunk her though. It’s the downright sinful man in front of her that’s the problem.
The small town mechanic is broody. Rough. Smells like engine grease and gasoline and Sienna isn’t sure why that’s so sexy, but it is. It so is. She’s ready to peel off her panties at the drop of his wrench.
He wants her too. She can feel it when he brushes against her. Experience it as he presses her against the wall of the shop. It’s thinly veiled in his deep, brown eyes when he looks at her like she’s everything he’s ever wanted. So why won’t he give in?
The damage to Walker’s truck is the first of many mistakes between the two of them, ending with truths that rock Sienna’s world. Nothing can fix her broken heart except the love of a man that won’t, maybe even can’t, love her back.

A sweet slow-burn romance.
An enjoyable read. Walker is a broody, Moody guy surrounded by his brothers and family there's plenty of laughs going on but he carries himself like the world is on his shoulders, he's closed off and it's only when Sienna comes along that he begins to want to change.
It's the perfect example of.... You can't let the past determine your future.
Sienna is in the little town staying with her friend, as a designer she can pretty much live anywhere. Sienna first meets Walker when she accidentally damages his car and offers to work for him at Crank to pay off her debt.
Sienna does all the chasing at first and Walker is a tough nut to crack.
I loved the feel of this book, the closeness of the family for both characters and the humour and hotness dotted throughout.
Crank is told in first person dual pov and does lead to a hea.
I haven't read previous books from the first series The Landry family of which Sienna is the sister so this is a nice tie to that but a completely different set of hotties, the Gibson boys aren't suits, there won't be any office romance that I can see, they all seem more down to earth in there small town and my kind of guys so I am looking forward to this series.

The Scars of You (Book one)
Rachael Tonks is a contemporary romance author with a love of books, and a particular love of the romance genre. As a child Rachael could always be found with her head in a book, but it wasn’t until the beginning of 2015 when Rachael’s love of books really took over. Reading spurred on her desires to put pen to paper, and write down the story of the characters screaming for their story to be told. Starting out her career with a new adult romance novel, she has now published multiple novels, ranging from dark romance to contemporary. Rachael lives in the steely suburb of Sheffield, in the north of England with her family. She has 3 beautiful children and a crazy dog. She loves nothing more reading with a good cup of tea and is self-proclaimed chocoholic!
5 TOGETHER WE ARE PERFECTION STARS
Another mesmerising read from Rachael Tonks. I was completely engrossed and didn't want to let the characters go.
This is part two of a duet and The scars of you needs to be read first.
Finishing book one left me frustrated, I wanted more and now I have it I feel completely in bliss. I fell in love even more with this duet, the characters and the plot that kept me engrossed throughout with its twists and turns.
Izzy, you could say she's a woman with backbone, hidden away by her father kept in captivity, taken from the boy she was in love with and on the day she escapes, flagging down a car is taken again by a monster. A stolen love and a stolen childhood.
Brax searched for Izzy and never gave up, taken in by a crime lord Carter who became his friend and partner, Brax is an alpha male, possessive, dangerous and oozes sexiness.
I had cringe moments when Brax met Tara who is Carter's cousin and I was pulling my hair out and thought he was moving on while Izzy was in captivity. The fact Tara still being in the story as a friend even after he got Izzy back still left me on edge early on in book one he said he felt a connection, I couldn't let it go even after but Brax and Izzy were destined to be together and they literally went through hell to get to heaven.
There is only ever one girl for Brax. I loved the childhood to adult love part in this story and the second chance romance, there was so much I loved.
A moving story, a dark story, a plot with lies deceit, villains, blood shed and action and in the midst of it all two people with sizzling chemistry. . The scars of us had everything I love in this kind of read and Rachael Tonks nailed it.
I would of liked a recap at the beginning of this book from book one and had to go back to The scars of you's last chapter for a refresher but if your going straight from one book then jumping into this obviously that would't matter.
Told in first person's dual pov and leads to a hea leaving you still wanting more. I'm hoping for more of Nate and Tara which would mean an MC romance, my favourite kinds of romance, so I will be keeping my eyes on what the lovely Rachael does next.

Book people, we are such an odd bunch and absolutely I love it!
I laughed along with this book, such a fun read by Karli Perrin.
A must read for book enthusiasts because yes we are an odd but fabulous breed and especially if you have been to a book signing. You will not get through this and not chuckle.
It's cheesy, it's not meant to be serious, I loved that Karli wrote this for readers attending a book signing.
Zara who is a none reader draws the short straw when her sister who is a book enthusiast needs her help at a book signing after her friend drops out as her helper. So off Zara goes, dragged along with her sister's big tolley in towe and bubble wrapped books.
I laughed at some of the scenes. The book boyfriend is a fun read.
You get Zara's thoughts throughout as she's given orders by her sister.
"One of the things I've quickly learned about book signings - you que up. A lot. It's like Disney world on crack"
The last place Zara wants to be is the first place she falls in love.
I Loved it! a short read and good taster of Karli Perrins writing and I am looking forward to reading more from her.
"First a warning. This story is so dark it makes 50 shades look like light romance." ~ Goodreads Reviewer

~ Blood & Lies is a DARK Contemporary Romance, not suitable for people sensitive to hard to read subjects~
Wow!..... And breath.
Blood and lies is a dark concoction of lies, deceit, enemies within, danger, revealed twisted lies and exposed truths.
Among it all is Castello the new mafia boss who now reins following the death of both his father and brother and the pawn in the deceptive game is Tatum, daughter of a powerful businesses man.
Blood & Lies begins with Tatums kidnapping and a promise of revenge from Castello to his mother.
Castello has been lead to believe Tatum's father is responsible for killing his brother when he found out that Tatum and Castello's brother Carlo were in a relationship.
Carlo was next in line as boss after his father and so following Carlos's death then the immediate natural death of his father Castillo was thrust into the lead and became head if the Mafia.
Castello had the responsibility of avenging his brothers death and what greater way than to take the woman responsible for luring his brother.
This is far from any Romeo and Juliet romance though.
There's lies and deceit in this tangled web and as the plot grows Castello begins to discover truths and his reasons for killing Tatum become blurred.
Tatum and Castello have a toxic attraction to each other, neither can contain their animalistic need for each other.
Blood and Lies is part one of this duet and just when things are getting even more intense your left wanting more.
A dark and gripping read. Contains bondage and knife play and triggers of self harm. It's definitely not for the faint hearted and is filled to the brim with danger, angst, mystery and suspense.
A story of a girl taken against her will by a family who wants an eye for an eye but somethings just aren't that cut and dry and Lies exposed throw a bloody spanner in the works.
Told in first persons dual pov.
Looking forward to part 2, Blood & Vows.

He still owned me.
The matter of my freedom has not yet been addressed, and I won’t demand it in fear that he might give it to me.
I’m no longer an unwilling prisoner, but rather an eager participant. His touch makes me come alive with wicked delight, and I’ve given up fighting it.
My life changed indefinitely. Pleasure and decadent sins of lust invaded both my body and mind. But death and grief also infiltrated my soul, and now the image of my father’s lifeless body haunts me, filling my nights with dreams of revenge and the bitter red of blood.
We can’t change the past, but our future is still undecided. The tables have turned. A strong family now stands divided, and now it’s war.
The war of brothers.
The war of blood.
Castello made it clear that he would fight this war with me as his queen, and that’s what I intended to be…
I wanted the best if both world's, and there was only one way to do that...
Make her my queen by day and my slave by night.
Blood & Vows is the awaited conclusion to Blood & Lies.
The plan was simple kidnap the girl and have blood thirsty revenge. If you read book one you will know even the best plans fail.
The lies and deceit continue to run through this duet and family loyalties and sides are a big part of the plot as Castello goes up against his brother.
A gripping conclusion filled with an intensity that has you gripping on for life in the hope all will come good for Tatum and Castello.
A cleverly written plot by Bella J.
I loved the dominance and possesivenes of Castillo and the way Tatum blossomed into a woman with a strong backbone, a big leap from the girl we first met quivering in a corner.
A captivating dark read, definitely not for the faint hearted with blood play, self harm and bdsm.
I didn't enjoy the bdsm part of this book Castello was a domineering character to begin with, he was a leader and a man of power and the way Tatum craved him, was drawn to him and naturally submitted to him anyway made the master and pet aspect of this relationship to overboard with even more added dominance that I felt wasn't needed or maybe it's just me, I no longer read bdsm as I reader you could say I grew out of it to a point now were I roll my eyes at the yes master words, so you will have to come to your own conclusion on that one because I know some readers love it.
I enjoyed the latter part of this book and was more than satisfied with the hea.
I would definitely read more from Bella J, her words were intoxicating the journey with the characters was fulfilling, witnessing Castello and Tatum go from strength to strength in themselves as people and in their love, the plot was intense and addictive.

As the lead songwriter for Jacob’s Ladder, the last thing Gabe Renard needs is a debilitating case of writer’s block. After years of meaningless one night stands, he's finding it hard to pen the love-filled ballads the label is requesting. In an effort to clear his mind, Gabe takes his jeep off-roading in the North Georgia Mountains. When a wrong-turn leads to him getting stuck more than just creatively, he’s forced to call for help. To his surprise, the “Ray” who has been sent by Hart Wreckers to his aid is actually “Rae”—a sexy-as-hell spitfire in a pair of tight-as-hell jeans. The combination of Rae’s sassy mouth and rocking body might be the inspiration Gabe needs. But for the first time since becoming a rock star, his advances have been shot down.
Reagan Hart has never been a fan of musicians. In fact, just the mention of one might cause her to throw a tire tool. Her disgust for them started when she was just eight and her mother ran off with a traveling country singer, and it only worsened when at seventeen, her rocker boyfriend knocked her up before blowing out of town. As a single mother taking care of her family's collision business, Rae doesn't have time for hook ups, much less a relationship. And if she did make time, a musician would be last on her list, even one as good-looking as Gabe Renard.
Can Gabe find the words to prove not only to Rae, but himself, that she’s the only one for him?
A wonderful single mum romance by Katie Ashley.
I finished on a heartwarming high.
I loved the characters Gabe and Rae and extended characters too.
Jacobs Ladder truly is a feel good read that you can get immersed in.
Gabe is the drummer and songwriter in the famous band Jacobs ladder and while struggling with writers block Gabe goes out of the city for peace and quiete to find the words.
Gabe gets stuck in mud in his truck after driving of road and is rescued by Rae who owns a recovery business.
When Gabe and Rae first meet Gabe's sexist remark's don't go down too well with Rae who is a feisty character and gives as good as she gets.
Rae lives in a small town with her sisters and dad and runs the business her father started before he fell ill.
Rae is a mother in her late twenties and has had a bad experience with musicians. First her ex who was in a band left her when pregnant at 17 and before that her own mother left when she was just a little girl to run away with the singer of a band on tour leaving her dad and sisters behind.
It's an icy start for Rae and Gabe but Rae's sass sparks something in Gabe and his writers block is lifted, Gabe is determined to spend more time with Rae which takes a lot of persuasion.
Rae becomes Gabes muse. A friendship develops between Gabe and Rae along with her son Linc.
Jacobs Ladder is a heartwarming romance that tackles insecurities and trust before leading to a romance filled with hot chemistry.
Gabe is a swoon worthy guy who has insatiable appetite and the sex scenes are hot!.
I loved Jacobs Ladder and looking forward to more from Katie Ashley. The cherry on the cake, Gabe has a twin brother. I would live more in this series to also see how Gabe and Rae are doing.
Told in first persons dual pov and leads to a hea.
