I was born into British aristocracy, but I’ve made my fortune in Manhattan. New York is now my kingdom.
Back in Britain my family are fighting over who’s the next Duke of Fairfax. The rules say it’s me--if I’m married. It’s not a trade-off worth making. I could never limit myself to just one woman.
Or so I thought until my world is turned upside down. Now, the only way I can save the empire I built is to inherit the title I’ve never wanted-- so I need a wife.
To take my mind off business I need a night that’s all pleasure. I need to bury myself in a stranger.
The skim of Scarlett King’s hair over my body as she bends over . . .
The scrape of her nails across my chest as she screams my name . . .
The bite of her teeth on my shoulder just as we both reach the edge . . .
It all helps me forget.
I just didn’t bargain on finding my one night stand across the boardroom table the next day.
She might be my latest conquest but I have a feeling Scarlett King might just conquer me.
A sexy, standalone romance.
5 - TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN STARS
Louise bay really does deliver a sizzling read.
I loved this book Louise bay knows just how to pull you in and keep you there right to the very last page.
A hot, rich British guy who says all the right things and makes you swoon what more could you ask for?.
What starts of as a one night stand becomes more when Scarlett and Ryder cross paths again in a business meeting.
Scarlett has regrettably a failed marriage behind her and pours herself into her business with her friend, her company is her independence, her future, her journey to proving a point to her ex that she can make it on her own, so when Ryder comes in with a business deal that involves shares in the company she has built, she isn't interested but the company needs his investment to move forward.
Ryder is in a position where his ageing Grandfather is urging him to settle down and get married and he must marry to inherit the estate but Ryder has been a man-whore for so long and claims he will never entertain marriage until he is suddenly dealt the hand of no choice when his Grandfather becomes ill causing him to rethink his position and to protect all he has built.
The meeting with Scarlett sparks ideas off in Ryder's head and he proposes something to benefit them both... marriage, an arrangement that would save his inheritance and Scarlett her company.
This part of the plot Isn't unique, arranged marriage as a business deal isn't something I haven't come across in a book before but Louise bay deliver's it in such a talented and dazzling way I was hooked and loved the journey of both Scarlett and Ryder as they entered their fake marriage together.
We were bonded together in desperation. Soon to be wedded in matrimony. Quid pro quo
Her gaze was like the sun, warming my body, relaxing and unknotting each tense muscle.
I loved Louise Bay's words, I loved these characters, the sparks, Ryders appetite for Scarlett, the journey they both took to discovering love was creeping up on them. Duke of Manhattan is another brilliant read by Louise bay.
Told in dual pov's, a standalone, a hot sizzling recommended read.
