A promising start to a series.
I love a friends to lovers romance and Slow grind had all that and more.
Aubrey has had a crush on her brothers best friend since she was a little girl. Moving away from home due to her parents divorce also meant Aubrey had to move away from her brother Max who chose stay with their mother and Andrew.
Aubrey has never gotten along with her mother so moving away to America from Australia was her decision but she missed Max and Andrew.
Now 21 due to her brothers illness Aubrey is returning to Australia.
Aubrey is no longer a little girl Drew remembers but Drew is still the hot guy she remembers.
All the guys Aubrey remembers as friends of Max when she was younger are still all best friends so when they need to think of a way to raise money for Max's treatment they come up with a stripper event.
It's a bittersweet read, Aubrey and Drew grow close as Max gets sicker.
A great story with humor throughout despite Max's illness there's still lightness and laughs as the group of hot men learn to strut their stuff.
Looking forward to part 2 where the story continues.
A recommended lighthearted read with great character's and interesting story that leaves you wanting more.
I’m the kind of guy who will do anything for a friend, so when my best mate, Max, gets sick I naturally want to help. He needs money for experimental treatment overseas and he needs it fast. So I round up the guys with an idea to raise the cash for him.
Stripping. Chicks love that shit, right?
At first, the guys are skeptical, but we’re a good looking group of men who who’ve been known to bust out a dance move or two, so we decide to go for it.
When Max offers his kid sister up for choreography, I think, great. We can use all the help we can get. The last time I saw Aubrey she was a loudmouthed twelve-year-old who wouldn’t leave me alone. Now, she’s twenty and possibly the sexiest woman I’ve ever laid eyes on.
Max has made it clear that his sister is off limits to me, because apparently, I have a reputation. He says he has enough to worry about without me chasing his sister.
Fine, I can respect that.
But I’m not sure she can
