I followed my best friend to London thinking it would be an adventure full of excitement and bright lights, only to find myself in a shitty little corner of the city.
I'm now immersed in a world of bad boys and dirty fights.
My saviour complex is stretching to Finn West. He's dark, mysterious, grouchy, and a fighter. I can't help but want to push his buttons and see if I can crack that surly frown into a smile.
Maybe the connection I feel with him is real, or perhaps it's just the fanatical imaginings of a lonely girl, wanting a lonely boy. After all, who wants to be alone?
I just want to be left alone, stick to my routine, but no. Hope McGrath sure as hell can't let that happen.
I like order, control, I need it. She's like a tornado of sheer chaos, trying to rock my very structured life on it's foundations. She annoys the shit out of me on a daily basis, but somehow, I've come to enjoy her dragging me to her weekly bingo outings.
No matter how gnarly I am, she always comes back for more with her long legs and her loud mouth.
I don't need her in my life, even if I find myself thinking about her, her lips, her body...I don't need her.

3 Things I did not expect from War Hope:
1) A slow burn romance.... but oh how it was worth the wait
2) A Rom-Com. Absolutely hilarious, filled with quick witted, sarcastic comments that had me laughing out loud repeatedly. I won't think of bingo the same again.
3) Few sex scenes. Yep, I was surprised but did it bother me? hell no! every moment Finn and Hope were together was Like angsty foreplay.
Above everything I'm thanking all that is holy that nobody gets killed off in this book, I mean were talking about Stevie J Cole & LP Lovell here under the alias Nicole Lynne, Queens of the unpredictable.
Hope Mcgrath is a sexy red headed heiress to a whisky fortune, friends of Poppy from the previous book and just so happens to be a bingo addict, she's a total tornado of chaos and storms into Finn's life like the whirlwind she is without invitation.
Finn is ex armed forces, recently lost his best friend through ptsd and has his own daily struggles. Hope lives up to her name sake by bringing friendship although one sided into this underground fighters life.
"Your abusive as fuck...."
she slaps my arm.
"I'm ginger. Don't act like you didn't know what you were getting. Besides...."
"I'm a fucking delight"
Hope is fiery, speaks her mind, has a mouth like a sailor, I loved her character.
Finn, he's Alpha, an underground fighter,a man of few words but one thing he couldn't fight off even if he tried was the fiery red heads persistence.
"Aw, Finnley" She grins
"Don't make me blush. I'm ginger, it's not hot"
The chemistry is on fire, the plot was addictive and the characters brilliant each in their own way.
Another brilliant read from these two authors. A great balance of seriousness and humour told in dual pov's.
Hoping for Kyan's story, I loved his character.
