Short, hot and sweet
Another good one from Aria Cole. I must admit some books by this author are a bit hit and miss depending on your reading mood, a virgin, insta love, the predictability can be a bit off putting but this one was a hit!
Liam is a new bartender who has recently left University and originally from Ireland.
Charlie works in the bar that her dad owns. Charlies past experience has made her entrusting of men and she doesn't date on top of that she has an overprotective dad and brother.
For Liam it's insta-love and he is determined to get Charlie to change her mind and trust him.
She consumed me; everything about her possessed me. I wanted to devour her, show her she was priceless and perfect and mine.
A sweet story with a hot Irish swoon worthy guy, hot moments and leads to a hea
I’d found my own four leaf clover. It looked nothing like I’d expected, and yet it was everything I wanted.

What a beautiful and moving story.
I knew from the very beginning Living out loud would pull on my heartstrings and it did along with experiencing such a wonderful written mix of angst, humor, heartache, beautiful words and heartwarming moments.
"She was an open book, her pages fluttering from one emotion to the next with an easy whisper".
Annie was born with a heart defect and had experienced very little in her life and the simplest things like getting her first job was a life altering and happy moment. Annie believed in living out loud, living in the moment, she was a ray of sunshine on a dull day kind of girl.
Annie had a wish list that included things like building a snow man, her first kiss, first boyfriend and Greg who had become her friend encouraged her to fulfill it even though he wasn't part of all her firsts.
Greg.. swoon, as book boyfriends go he was ideal and he was instantly attracted to Annie and offered her a job when she first walked into the book/coffee shop.
Greg was selfless, loving from a distance and was happy when Annie was happy even when she got her first boyfriend and his heart hurt.
Greg friend-zoned himself from the very beginning until he finally made a move and the journey to that moment was filled with anticipation.
'"Not all love is loud and assuming. Sometimes it's silent, especially when it puts someone else's happiness above it's own".
Living out loud is the kind of book you need to lock yourself away with and enjoy every moment.
A story of firsts, hope, new beginnings and finding true love.
"Even when we can't go on, we go on. Because the world keeps turning and the clock keeps ticking and our hearts keep beating even if we sometimes wish they would stop".
Told In first person dual pov, contains one intimate sex scene and leads to hea.
Caleb is a man with a singular interest in revenge. Kidnapped as a young boy and sold into slavery by a power-hungry mobster, he has thought of nothing but vengeance. For twelve years he has immersed himself in the world of pleasure slaves searching for the one man he holds ultimately responsible. Finally, the architect of his suffering has emerged with a new identity, but not a new nature. If Caleb is to get close enough to strike, he must become the very thing he abhors and kidnap a beautiful girl to train her to be all that he once was.
Eighteen-year-old Olivia Ruiz has just woken up in a strange place. Blindfolded and bound, there is only a calm male voice to welcome her. His name is Caleb, though he demands to be called Master. Olivia is young, beautiful, naïve and willful to a fault. She has a dark sensuality that cannot be hidden or denied, though she tries to accomplish both. Although she is frightened by the strong, sadistic, and arrogant man who holds her prisoner, what keeps Olivia awake in the dark is her unwelcome attraction to him.
WARNING: This book contains very disturbing situations, dubious consent, strong language, and graphic violence.
Dark, disturbing, filled with suspense.
This book is one of those that has been on my kindle a long time and I finally got around to reading it and I am so glad I did.
I love dark reads for their ability to shock, keep you in suspense and especially when the plot has youe you gripping your kindle and flipping your pages eagerly.
Captive in the dark was probably one of the first of its kind in dark romances, since then there has been a lot of books similar to this and I have read quit a few of them where captee falls for captor and vice versa.
This is a story of a young girl, Olivia or Livvie chosen like a pawn in a game of revenge.
A story of captor falling for captee and questions of...is this Stockholm syndrome or does the victim/hostage really fall for her captor.
"Each day I was more vulnerable than the last. Each day he stripped away more of my sense of self".
Caleb's job is to train the girl, make her compliant, a slave.
12 years of planning has gone into Caleb and the man who saved him getting their revenge and their only way in to his circle is to introduce a girl, a girl especially selected by Caleb, a virgin who will be trained as a submissive and to get her to the point where she is ready for them to offer her for auction.
A girl pretty and a virgin, an enticing temptation for a wealthy and evil man who made his money from the sex trade, their hope is that their target will take the bait and give them a way in to get nearer to the man they seek revenge from for killing their family's.
Captive Is the dark is dark and gritty has scenes of sex and desires and is not for the faint hearted like most dark reads.
It's a slow burn to any form of tender relationship and understanding between Caleb and Livvie and near the end you can almost feel Caleb wavering, will he go through with his plan? Will he chose Livvie over the man who rescued him as a boy and trained him for this purpose as repayment for saving him?
Caleb himself has a gruesome backstory, beaten and raped as a child until he was saved by the fman who he now feels indebted to.
"He was the monster no one thought to look for in the light of day".
"There was just something about her, something he wanted to taste and touch. Something he wanted to claim".
I am looking forward to the conclusion in this story and crossing everything for a hea for both Caleb and Olivia.
Told in third person and a duet.Free in Amazon.
BOOK TWO OF THE DARK DUET
The exciting, titillating, and action-filled conclusion to Captive in the Dark.
What is the price of redemption?
Rescued from sexual slavery by a mysterious Pakistani officer, Caleb carries the weight of a debt that must be paid in blood.
The road has been long and fraught with uncertainty, but for Caleb and Livvie, it’s all coming to an end.
Can he surrender the woman he loves for the sake of vengeance?
Or will he make the ultimate sacrifice?
It seemed to Caleb, the nature of human beings revolved around one empirical truth: we want what we cannot have. For Eve, it was the fruit of the forbidden tree. For Caleb, it was Livvie.
What was I thinking after book one?...
not this I can tell you.
I thought I had read this type of story a few times before, that it was just like the other books, different characters same story-line, same old... captor falls for cap-tee and vice versa but how wrong was I with my surmising of how this story would go, I was way off...
For all those who said WHAT! I can't believe you haven't read this yet? thank you.
I read book one and thought I still don't get it? what is all the fuss about? and then I read this and THIS is what all the fuss is about.
What a story!
When the beginning of this book begins with Livvie being free and interrogated I must admit I was a little confused, what happened? how has it gone from Livvie still being held captive and being prepared for an auction to this? but then each chapter changes from present to past in both Caleb and Livvie's pov and all is revealed.
Captive in the dark and Seduced in the dark is such a gripping and intense story that I would recommend, it's dark and disturbing definitely not for the flincher's among us but it's so cleverly written.
One negative would be "give me more!, one chapter of this couple finally getting a hea wasn't enough, I've just been through the ringer with these two and I get one chapter of happiness?.
I don't want to give anything away, if you love dark reads this is one you have to experience for yourself.
Start the first book free.
Once upon a time, there was a guy who got so fed up with life that he resorted to murder and mayhem just to feel alive.
Lorenzo Gambini is bored. So fucking bored. Most people either annoy him or avoid him, afraid to face him. Figuratively. Literally. With his face partially disfigured, scarred, he looks every bit the monster the stories make him out to be: the notorious menace they call Scar. They say he's a sociopath. Maybe he's a psychopath. Whatever path he's on, people tend to stay far away from it.
Until one day, a young woman bumps right into him--a woman just as fed up with life, but for much different reasons. With a Scarlet Letter inked on her wrist and secrets buried deep in her soul, Morgan Myers is running from something... or maybe somebody. Lorenzo isn't quite sure.
You can bet your ass he's going to figure it out, though.
Read Menace today! ❤
Well that was exciting, I loved this book, the characters and the anticipation of what was going to happen next all the way through.
Menace had that mafia feel to it although Lorenzo Gambini or Scar as he is called is not a mafia boss, he's not exactly a guy who's on the straight and narrow either, he has his men at the click of his fingertips and Lorenzo is a man other men fear.
Lorenzo is the man with a scar, a crook, a villain but also a loving brother, Lorenzo is a man of layers who firmly keeps the mask on and hides behind the scar.
Morgan or Scarlet as Lorenzo starts to call her due to a letter S on her wrist is a woman with back bone, she's is on the run and works in a club, Morgan is also a woman with many layers, she's strong and resilient, I liked Morgan's character.
Morgan and Lorenzo first meet in a bar and she pickpockets him, he finds her and if it were any other person they would be dead but something about Morgan draws him to her, he is curious and her fiery character he finds refreshing. Morgan stands with her head high were other men would cower, Morgan is different and shows no fear.
The two are thrust together again when Morgan's past comes to find her and Lorenzo takes her under his wing.
Menace is a great story, its exciting, I loved Lorenzo he can be funny without meaning to be and he's so smooth.
I loved how Lorenzo addresses the reader, listening this on audio it really brought the book to life even more when you have a character that also talks to the reader even though it may have been Lorenzo saying something like "I'm not sure what your laughing at either". Its not much buT I loved how JM Darhower has done that.
Menace is a two part book and like all two part story's you are just getting all the answers to your questions, things are just getting even more interesting and then its finished.
Menace is hot with some sizzling scenes, filled with suspense and interesting characters, it has the element of dark and a mafia feel. It was great I loved it.
I am definitely reading book 2 I can't wait to jump into that one, I have it in my kindle unlimited and then I downloaded the audio for £2.99, Bargain.
J.M Darhower was new to me this ear and I'm getting hooked to her writing.
I crawled into Ryan Jensen’s bed that first night by accident.
I barely knew him. I thought it was his sister’s bed—her room. It took seconds to realize my error, and I should've left...
I didn’t jump out.
I didn’t get embarrassed.
And that night, in that moment, it was the only thing I craved.
I asked to stay. He let me, and I slept.
The truth? I never wanted to leave his bed. If I could've stayed forever, I would have.
He became my sanctuary.
Because—four hours earlier—my twin sister killed herself.

The Synopsis drew me in but it wasn't what I expected at all.
From the books I have read by Tijan they have all been based around a teenager and struggles in one way or another, with different plots, school, bullies and first love In that respect this was no different but the plot it had me hooked.
If you read the synopsis you will already know the night Mackenzie found her sister dead is also the night she climbed into Ryan's bed.
Ryan is a boy she barely knew, a boy who's house she was staying at while her parents had just moved area for a new start and while grieving she finds comfort with a boy who becomes her sole-mate filling the gap her twin sister leaves behind. That's the best way I can sum it up in brief.
The story focuses on the bond Mackenzie and Ryan share, Ryan had lost his best friend years earlier.
Mackenzie is the new girl in school and she never was the popular girl, it was always her sister but you could say she begins to channel her sister, she hears her voice, she sees her when she's in crisis, feels her encouragement.
Sounds a bit weird right? but the story worked.
Tijan covers a lot of things in this book, bullying, eating disorders, grief, suicide, family issues, importance of communication and in the midst of it all young love.
A good young adult read with a lot of meaning behind the words.

Straddling both worlds, she's lived the last few years in a college dorm, losing herself in the promise of her future and trying to forget the lost love of her past.
As Vice President of the Sinister Knights, Ryker Beckett has proven his dedication and loyalty by sitting in a county jail cell for three years for saving one woman from a nightmarish assault. The woman. The only one who matters. Prez's young, innocent, and untouched daughter, Anna.
But now, Ryker is back, his sights set on reconnecting with the woman who occupied every minute of his thoughts while he was away. Anna's all grown up, but she’s still the only one he can't have, the only one he craves... Is she ready for this giant, rough-around-the-edges biker to protect and defend her forever?
Warning: Ryker is hard in all the right places—a tall, tattooed drink of water sitting on a powerful engine. He's got his mind on one woman only, and when he sees her again, he's determined to get her bred and on his bike for their sultry ride into the sunset.

I love MC romances for the hot Alpha bikers with no filter who claim their women especially when they love them and protect them.
Ryker is a quick read but hits all the right spots.
Ryker and Anna have been apart 3 years while Ryker served time in prison for his club. Now reunited again their love is still strong and even though Ryker is back Anna's father who is the club president is still trying to keep them apart.
No-one is good enough for the presidents daughter but Ryker is determined to claim his woman.
Good hot mc read, I enjoyed it!
His lips told me he knew me.
His hands touched like we were old lovers.
His eyes held secrets of a past I’d never known.
I was lost, you see.
Lost as the flowers that grew in the meadow.
The devil told me he knew me.
But lies had a way of unraveling, even if we didn’t want them to.
The devil had a trick, for his love was full of acid. Acid that burned at every touch, every linger, and I let it scorch me to my core.
A devil made you sin. And my devil was the worst.
But now that devil wanted my last kiss, and it wasn't one I was willing to give.
He could take the acid and leave the burn behind.
I was keeping my heart even if I died trying.

"She and I Fell into the pages of that book and got lost in the words".
One thing you don't get with TL Smith and that's hearts and flowers. What you do get is characters that are complex, a puzzle you think you can solve and you just can't, they are what they are but likable in their own dark and messed up way.
TL Smith has once again written characters that lure you in by their actions which in the real world would be hard to comprehend and once again TL Smith has blown me away with her creativity of words, characters and plot..
The beginning of this book introduces you to Jaya as she shares in her pov how she meets a girl from work they became friends, it sounds quite normal but as the story progresses you will also discover her friend Toska is anything but normal, her actions aren't normal and Jaya is caught up in a dangerous friendship that she knows she should run far away from but at the same time is intrigued and the attraction intensifies when Jaya meets Toska's brother Syler and she enters the very dangerous and dark world of this brother and sister.
Toska is a killer, her brother her protector, Toska needs to kill and Syler helps her feed her need by watching over her and getting rid of the bodies after her need is fulfilled.
There are a lot of moments that are twisted, I was definitely on the edge trying to figure out how this book could possibly have a happy ending but it was exciting too.
I loved the dark side of TL Smith's mind that creates these dark and cryptic characters.
Jaya and Syler have a relationship but it's definitely not conventional. Syler is a man who has never experienced love, he is drawn to Jaya and claims her as his, he's almost primal and never loving in the normal way and for two years Jaya takes it all because of the need to have this dark, silent and puzzle of a man in her life and her bed.
Jaya doesn't realise she is Toska's plaything, a friend who was hand picked with a time limit until Toska decides she's bored with the friend who now spends more time with her brother and her brother no longer gives her all his attention and Toska goes from friend to dangerous foe.
"He was like a poison challace. Because I knew drinking from him would one day kill me".
I was hooked from first page to last.
Buried in lies is in a league of its own but if I had to compare to any other book I have read and it's not even similar but it would have to be Sick fix by Tillie Cole just to give you an idea of the messed up world Jaya enters.
There is sex within Buried in lies but no abuse or rape. There is murder but no descriptive detail.
A good dark, gripping, psychological and thrilling read that does eventually lead to a hea.

I was in love with the boy. I’m obsessed with the man.
Logan is my older brother’s best friend.
My teenage years were spent dreaming about our future together.
He taught me how to kiss. He stayed up late with me while I studied. He escorted me to the prom.
But he is one of the Screw Crew and they only have one rule. I’m off limits.
I went to college and he started working. The secret messages stopped and I lost my first love before it even had a chance.
I’ve spent the past four years trying to forget the only man I’ll ever love. Just as I start to make a life for myself, guess who comes barging back into my life?
An Enemies to Lovers Novel #2 ~ Logan West & Mia Daniels
GR - https://www.goodreads.com/.../35898140-reckless-an...
Amazon : smarturl.it/RecklessMH
Goodreads : http://bit.ly/2gp3gHk
Reckless was so much more than I expected.
The series title is enemies to lovers but what you get is a teenage crush to an adult love story and a brothers best friend romance in one delicious package.
I also expected a bad boy but Logan's bad boy college years are long gone, it has for all of them, if you haven't read the first book in the series, it gives you a better idea of how this group of 5 boys were a hot commodity with the girls, the popular guys in college that all The girls wanted and they earned the name SCREW CREW.
This is years later, the teenage boy Mia fell in love with, crushed hard on and the boy who gave her her first kiss is now a man and they are finally reunited after 3 years of being apart.
Too much time has past and Logan won't waste any more, it's time to get his girl even if he has to run it by his best friend and partner first to soften the blow.
These guys are all like brothers and although Mia and Logan's story is a big part of the plot you also get a piece of Marcus's story too which is heart-breaking and I did shed a tear for Marcus especially when the guys all pull together in support of their friend.
Reckless evokes a good mixture of emotions, it's heartwarming, sweet, sour, sizzling hot and gives you that gooey softness in the centre, a perfect contemporary romance recipe.
Another enjoyable read by Michelle Horst that is becoming an addictive series.
Can be read as a standalone and leads to a hea.

From bestselling author L.J. Shen, comes a new, standalone, contemporary romance.
It should have been easy.
I needed the money. He needed a babysitter to keep him from snorting himself to death.
I was cherry-picked especially for him. Responsible. Optimistic. Warm. Innocent.
The worst part is that I should have known better.
Alex Winslow. British rock star. Serial heartbreaker. Casanova with whiskey eyes.
“Don’t get near the devil in a leather jacket. He’ll chew you up and spit you out.”
Guess what? I didn’t listen.
I signed the contract.
World tour. Three months. Four Continents. One hundred shows.
My name is Indigo Bellamy, and I sold my soul to a tattooed god.
Problem was, my soul wasn’t enough for Alex Winslow. He ended up taking my body, too.
Then he took my heart.
Then he took my all.
From Hot holes to major rock star A hole
This Book! These character! I loved it, loved him, her, the words, everything!
I love a rock star story, I also love an A class cocky geezer with attitude who thinks he's all that and Alex had it in abundance.
"He was made for legends, almighty like an angry god. Too bad he knew it"
Alex is his own worst enemy it's like he has a self destruct button and doesn't care, he's a guy with a huge chip on his shoulder, addicted to drugs and alcohol and spiralling out of control.
Indie is hired to watch his every move to make sure he is never alone and never tempted and to accompany him on a three month tour.
"He was no knight in shining armour, a far cry from a saviour. He was just a broken, sad boy who was given a great gift that put him on display for the world to see and judge".
I loved Indie she was no pushover and gave as good as she got. Indie is a down to earth girl who lost her parents and loves her brother, his wife and kids and wants to help them any way she can and this tour would put food on the table and pay rent. Indie has a big enough motive for sticking with the tour and nothing Alex does or says could make her want to quit, Indie is tough and determined to see it through no matter how hard Alex pushes.
This small woman with blue hair who rides around on a bicycle and travels around with a sewing machine to make her own dresses is the last person you would expect to tame a rock god but she does and the journey is exciting as the layers of Alex start to be revealed and Indie becomes his muse, his inspiration, his new fix.
" I wanted to overdose on her like cocaine, and heroin, and crack, knowing the destruction I was willingly inhaling into my body. Because Indie, like drugs was a temporary fix".
Midnight Blue is brilliant, I think this is my favourite book of L.J Shen's and although I have read all previous books and loved them too this one just sits in a class of it's own. The words are poetic the characters just draw you in and the journey to a hea is a roller-coaster with angst and heartfelt moments.
A cocky rock-star, a sassy and likeable heroine, a moving and addictive plot, twists and turns, brilliant dialogue, hot sex scenes, humour and I loved that Alex was British.

When your world crashes down...
When they all say you’re out...
When your body is broken...
I will rise.
I will return.
And I will be undefeated.
Nick Renshaw is the golden boy of British rugby. When a serious injury threatens his career, he starts to spiral downwards, a broken man.
Feeling abandoned and betrayed by those closest to him, he fights to restart his life. Maybe there’s someone out there who can help him. Maybe he can find his way back toward the light. Maybe … not.
Dr. Anna Scott might be the one person who can help Nick, but she has her own secrets. And when Nick’s past comes back to haunt them both, the enigmatic doctor is more vulnerable than she seems.
Broken and betrayed, the struggle to survive seems intolerable. Who will give in, and who will rise, undefeated?
I will rise... I will return..... An I will be undefeated
Firstly this cover, I love it, brilliant cover choice for this story.
Undefeated is a good story that I found myself completely immersed both with the plot and the characters.
Undefeated is based on the story of a Rugby player Nick Renshaw who on his way up the ladder to bigger and better times in his game gets knocked down through an injury and from there Nicks world Spiral's.
Anna Scott is a sports psychologist who has also had her fare share of bad luck and down times and has moved from the U.S to the UK and is hoping for her practice to also take off and get more clients. Anna is approached by Nick's team coach to work with Nick following his injury.
There's instant attraction for both when they first meet but professionalism and the fact Nick has a girlfriend quickly squash any romantic notions. The girlfriend though lets talk about her, I love it when there's a character you just love to hate and this ones called Molly, a stereotypical self absorbed wag. So you could say this book evoked feelings it certainly evoked a dislike or certain characters lol
Anna was there for Nick in crisis and both of them slowly entered into a relationship that was forbidden in there working relationship.
In summary; a good read without heavy angst or drama focusing on the characters and a moral in the story of positive thinking, determination and rising above negativity and going for your goals and dreams, whether this be sport, love life or however its applied.
Undefeated has it's hot moments and is told in third person dual pov.
I loved the northern English twang from Nick, it's so refreshing for a reader like myself who reads so many American romances to read something in her own lingo, loved it!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would
K Webster never ceases to amaze me with the journeys her brilliant writing has taken me on with some of the most captivating characters and My Torin is no different in that respect.
My Torin is another example of why K Webster is my go to author. Some books give you angst, some give you waves of emotion were you cling on with white knuckles to the very end and some give you all the feels, you just never know what to expect with this author and I love that.
My Torin...... I'm almost speechless.
So many emotions in My Torin, waves and waves of different emotions.
Two of the most abnormal people on earth. Yet right now, we fit in. We belong. Together, we make up something beautiful.
Cocaine Casey. The baby left in the snow because her mother was too cracked out to care for her.
Casey has ADHD she's is in foster care, she's a 17 year old girl with attitude counting down the days to freedom that comes with her 18th birthday.
Only at the 11th hour she is taken into a home and I could never have imagined the way the plot would go, how it went from there and the characters introduced.
I was captivated, hooked, spellbound.
I wouldn't say this is a dark read, it isn't a story that contains sex and violence either.
If I had to compare it to another book I would say Archers voice by Mia Asher but that is a very, very, tiny slight likeness just to give you an idea of the feels this story evokes.
My Torin contains a beautiful relationship, two people who learn to communicate through touch, senses, they find a way and discover love in a way only they can explain it.
A two person team. Yin and Yang. The sun and moon. We work together somehow. Some weird way fate brought us together and she knew exactly what she was doing.
"My Torin is a puzzle. My Torin is one I can solve".
I have so many highlights from this book so many moving and captivating words.
I can't recommend this book enough.
Told in first person and leads to a hea.

The Beast had Belle.
Killian Black has me.
How I got here doesn’t matter, even though he says it does. Says it was my choice. He doesn’t get it, though. It wasn’t ever a choice for me.
And now, he’s changing the rules.
The agreement was one month. For thirty days, I’d be his. He’s no longer satisfied with my body alone, though. He wants my soul, too. Wants every part of me. And even though I can pretend I’m safe when I lie beneath him, this man does something to me. Something wicked.
A thing that will break me.
People suck at consequences.
Cilla made the choice. She offered the deal. I just took her up on it. So what if I changed the rules half-way in? I’m not apologizing for it.
See, Cilla and me, we’re the same. She’s dark. As dark as me. Something happened to her. Something bad. It damaged her.
But it’s not a hero she seeks. It’s an avenging angel. A dark knight. That, I can do. I’ll slay her dragons, but it’ll cost her, because in return, I want everything. And I’ll take it.
Author’s note: Captive Beauty is a standalone romance. Think Beauty and the Beast, but twisted and dark in the best, dirtiest ways.
Natasha knight took me to the edge with this dark, captivating and gripping read.
Captive beauty begins with Cilla's brother getting caught trying to get one over on Killian but this dark and dominant man who has mafia ties doesn't let anyone off easily, if at all.
Cilla offers herself to pay for her brothers mistake to save his life. One month with Killian to do as he pleases to save him.
Although Cilla offers herself she isn't without fire and fight, she has backbone and doesent make it easy for Killian once he has her but there's attraction there and something dark and vulnerable they both see in each other.
Cilla and Killian have an understanding, Cilla is there for her brother, Killian just wants her, is drawn to her, there's hate on Cilla's part, shes not there by choice but as the story progresses and walls come down a deeper understanding of each other's pasts, secrets and desires unfold.
Captive beauty is a dark read has rough gritty sex scenes and talks of past abuse but doesn't go into detail with that.
This is a story were the enemy becomes a friend and you could say from Cilla's view the Dragon becomes a dragon slayer and a prince.
"The beasts aren't what we think they are or who we think they are"
If your looking for something dark, on the edge without flowers, fluffyness and definitely not your conventional romance then dive in and enjoy.
Brilliantly written, creative and off the charts hot.
Recommended dark read filled with suspense. Told in first person dual pov and leads to hea.

Ignazio Vitale is not a good man.
I suspect it, the first time I see him, sense the air of danger that surrounds the man. He has a way of commanding attention, of taking control, of knowing what I'm thinking before I even do.
It's alarming and alluring. It's dark and deadly. It's everything I've ever wanted but the last thing I truly need. Obsession.
It doesn't take him long to draw me into his web, charming me into his bed and trapping me in his life, a life I know nothing about until it's too late. He has secrets, secrets I can't fathom, secrets that make it so I can't walk away, no matter how much I beg him to let me go. I see it sometimes in his eyes, a darkness that's both terrifying and thrilling. He's a monster, wrapped up in a pretty package, and what I find when I unmask him changes everything.
I want to hate him.
Sometimes, I do.
But it doesn't stop me from loving him, too.

Book one of two
Interesting and filled with suspense.
Why would a 36 year old man be interested in an 18 year old student? and why would an 18 year old intelligent woman not realise the man she was falling in love with was high up in the Mafia.
I was intrigued especially when lies started to unfold and the twists and turns started to come.
Naz is a powerful man that doesn't waste words and Karisssa's excuse I suppose for being blind to it all is she is completely captivated and under his spell.
Brilliantly written and so hot. Looking forward to book 2
Listened in audio and the narration was brilliant.
Once a Disciple, forever a Disciple.
After giving up eighteen months of his life for his club,
the Disciples' president is finally tasting freedom again.
Stone knows there's only one thing that might ever be as sweet,
but she's too young, too perfect, too untouchable for a man like him.
A Disciple will fight like a savage to protect what matters.
Evie's life is pretty much blowing up in her face
until Stone finds her broken down on the side of the road.
Now if only she could get him to stop being the martyr
and give them a shot at what she knows they both want.
It's high time this biker got the chance to let go and just cruise.
Amazon : smarturl.it/CruiseDE
Goodreads : http://bit.ly/2z21Tos
My body was an inferno but I never wanted to stop burning.
Great series, I love all these characters. Cruise is the last in the series and contains Evie and Stone's road to love.
An unlikely relationship but it worked.
Stone is the president of the MC, he's in his 40's and just been in prison for 18 months doing time to protect a brother and Evie who is 27 has only just left home after living with controlling religious parents who were forcing her into a marriage she didn't want.
Stone already knew Evie before he was sent to prison, Stone had gone to the diner daily just to be near her. Although Stone wanted Evie he never saw himself as good enough and to old for her and didn't get the chance to make a move before prison.
On the day of his release Stone see's Evie broken down and down on her luck with a lot of things, broken car, evicted from her apartment and no money.
Stone shows up like a knight on a harley at the side if the road and he's not taking no for an answer, he's thought about Evie for 18 months and he's not letting her go.
I liked these two as a couple.
Stone was sweet yet dominant with Evie, and Evie was beginning to experience new things including friends which she never had after being secluded from society growing up.
Evie and Stone had chemistry, it was slow burn until they got there with Stone trying to do the right thing and take it slow with Evie but she turned out to be quit the vixen.
There's club business in Cruise, enemies, threats, action and danger and as always in this series a great family atmosphere among the characters.
No unnecessary violence or sexual acts, the Savage disciples are a family club which makes this one of the more enjoyable MC series to get addicted to with swoon worthy, hot and heart warming moments but also has some drama in the mix.
A recommended MC series.
Each book can be read as a standalone, leads to a hea and each told in first person dual pov.

Wow! I feel drained.
I honestly thought I had read this book, it's been on my kindle that long and realising I hadn't once I started to read, I couldn't put it down, it was like finding a diamond among gems in a treasure chest.
What a story...
So full of angst with a huge twist, the story completely captivated me and I feel like I've been on a roller-coaster ride with Lauren who is one of the main characters.
If I break is full of suspense and uncertainty, you think you've figured it out, then find you were completely wrong.
Brilliant writing from Portia Moore and what a clever and creative plot. I loved it, hated it, my emotions were all over the place. This has to be the most complicated releationship I have read in a while and each book reveals a little more to finding truths and giving you hope for Lauren in this complex relationship.
I had to read book two as soon as I finished book one there was no way I could rest until I got to the end.
In the first book the plot goes from the current then alternate to back in time to when she first met her husband which was brilliantly done and the intimate scenes sizzling. As the books progressed onto book 2 then 3 etc there are alternate povs and you see a bigger picture more perspective to the whole story and more twists. I was in ase of the creativity behind this story.
I went from thinking this was the story of two people who have lost their way since being married to not even being able to summarise this book at all and all I can say is read it and be wowed.
"The bond between us, once so real—so tangible, I believed in it with every ounce of my being—is now in tatters."

Charm is the key to the world.
Charisma, magnetism, sex appeal—that ‘it’ factor that can’t be described.
Nolan Delany has it is spades.
The infamous Mr. Romantic.
And maybe he is out of my league… But I’m going to give it the old college try anyway. Because I didn’t travel two thousand miles for a job interview at his request just to be put out like trash.
Don’t underestimate me, Mr. Delaney.
I’m really not as innocent as I look.
Mr Romantic? Hmm...
Nolan Delaney wasn't romantic at all and I couldn't understand where the name came from even though it was explained I still didn't get it because he was far from it.
I didn't like his character, maybe I wasn't supposed to like his character because of the underlining story that runs through the Mister series but I'll tell you why I didn't like him.
Nolan Delaney is in the process of setting up a resort in the desert or Vegas and is looking for marketing people to get his project off the ground.
Enter Ivy Rockwell.. Ivy has just finished college, she isn't the ideal candidate for the job, hasn't got enough experience for something this big but she receives an invitation to apply for the position, a private jet is waiting and it's all mysterious but why the heck not, she didn't apply but someone passed her details on somehow and what has she got to lose.
Nolan's sister is also overseeing the project and what a bitch she is but I digress, anyway when Nolan see's Ivy Rockwell he wants her and it has nothing to do with the job.
Nolan is a manipulator, a predator and to be honest he gave me the creeps, Ivy is drawn to him like a moth to a flame and as the story progresses he introduces Ivy who is the daughter of a pastor and also a virgin to fantasy rape play and acting out scenes but he doesn't swoon his way to that point with Ivy , he isn't even charming and I haven't a clue how Gullible Ivy got there, that's just in a nut shell.
I didn't like Nolan but there is a but and it's a big BUT
If you have started this series you will know that there is a THAT NIGHT.
A night the five misters at Browns university get arrested for gang rape. All five misters are let off eventually, not enough evidence to convict and we know they are innocent, a little was shared in Mr Perfect but in the eyes of the public they are guilty and from THAT NIGHT life changed for all of them, it's all still a mystery, none of them know they why or how even now but it's all still very real how life changed for all of them but who set them up?
In each of the Misters there is more clues as they come together in each book an event that takes place with Nolan and Ivy brings them all back together again even after more than 10 years someone is still out to get them, but who?
THAT NIGHT effected Mr Romantic aka Nolan Delaney and this story reflects how.
Did Nolan redeem himself at the end in my eyes? A little bit, I understood him more and I did get to the end of this book not wanting to call him an A-hole anymore but I still don't think he is Romantic and Ivy deserves someone more loving.
I want to follow this series through, I am more than curious about the answers and how THAT NIGHT will be revealed through the eyes of each Mister so I will have to see it through to the end to find out.
Brilliantly written by J.A Huss, I can't argue with that and the clever way she is carrying this plot through each book.
I listened on audio and intend to do a separate review re narration.

An emotional and unforgettable new romance from New York Times bestselling author Kim Karr.
The whole stethoscope-and-white coat thing isn’t my cup of tea.
I prefer a man with an artistic vein in his body. 9 - 5 hours. And I can definitely do without the half-lidded, sleepy bedroom eyes. (Okay, so those are kind of sexy.)
Tall, dark, and handsome doesn’t change the fact that he’s arrogant, cocky, and rude.
Not that I care, but he’s made it clear he wants nothing to do with a quirky girl like me, which is why he said no.
Turns out no isn’t an option.
I have a quickie wedding to plan, and Dr. Jake Kissinger doesn’t have a choice. He looks at our situation like he’s stuck with me, but in reality I’m stuck with him. Stuck with his pouty mouth. His long, lean body. And stuck with those loose, low riding scrub pants. (Okay, so the doctor thing is growing on me.)
When spending time together turns into more than it should, I know I’m in trouble.
He isn’t supposed to make my heart pound.
I’m not supposed to make him look twice.
And we aren’t supposed to spend the night together. (Okay, so he has more than one artistic vein in his body, and other places.)
Falling for him is definitely a mistake.
Here’s the thing…
Jake is unavailable, and I know it.
Just not in the way you might think.
I guess you can’t have your cake and eat it too.

And this is why I read romance.
I just love finishing a book with a happy sigh.
I enjoyed Jake and Jules journey to finding love.
Jules and Jake didn't have the best of first meetings though and it wasn't exactly insta love.
The thing about love begins with Jules also known as Juliette who is a wedding planner anxiously awaiting a client who is coming to view the incredible cake that has been made and to go over her wedding plans in the hope to get the job, money is tight and business is struggling so landing the wedding of the governors son to his fiance would be the turnaround Juliette needs.
When the handsome, hottie Jake walks in the shop and during conversation about the cake starts to flirt and begins to hit on her then a few minutes later a woman who Jules thinks his fiance walks in. Jules without thinking face plants him with cake, disgusted that a soon to be married man would act that way. When another male walks in behind her Jules knows she has made a mistake. Jake Kissinger is the bride to be's brother.
Jules and Jake are great characters. The truth about love, truly is a story of finding real love and not settling for less.
I reached around 50% before anything happened between Jake and Jules and to be honest I was losing interest but when they got it on, they really got it on.
Jake and Jules had so much chemistry between them, it was so hot.
The thing about love has humour, hotness Great characters, it's told in first person dual pov and leads to a heart warming hea.
Did I mention Jake Kissinger was a doctor too? a hot doctor?
Doctor Kiss meet my bbf shelf.
Another entertaining read by Kim Karr.

'Love can either destroy you, or bring you back to life.
Dom, Casa & Harlow
Casa only cares for two things in this life: his club—the Devil’s Highwaymen—and sex. That is until he meets Harlow. She’s feisty, passionate, and doesn’t fall for his usual charms. She’s perfect for him…but she belongs to someone else.
Harlow is broken; she has been for a long time. With nowhere to go, and worse, no one to go to, she’s become a clubslut for the West Side Bangers. That is until a chance meeting with her old friend and former lover, Dom, brings their worlds colliding together once more.
Dom is on a one-way train to hell; the guilt of losing his soulmate is killing him—but he can’t tell anyone about it. That is until he finds a brief respite from his suffering in the form of Harlow, the woman whose heart he once broke.
With all three set on their own self-destructive paths, they’ve only got one chance to make things right—but only if they can learn to forgive, and then to love again.
The funny thing about love is, it’s both painless and painful, and not even death can end the suffering.
I struggled with this one.
It's definitely a series you have to start from the beginning and even though I had read book one previously I was still trying to piece things together.
Main Characters are Dom, Harlow and Casa.
Ride or Die 2 begins with Dom rescuing Harlow from another club.
Harlow and Dom had grown up together and been together in a relationship but Dom even though he loved her had to let her go because he wasn't in love with her, Dom was in love with his best friend Butch. Harlow was a safe option and kept any suspicion away from him being gay.
Following Butch's death when Dom saw Harlow again he couldn't leave her or could stand that she was now just a club slut for another club and felt guilty for the life she now had.
Harlow was from an affluent family and because of her relationship with Dom they disowned her. Harlow has only had Dom for a long time until he let her go.
Unrequited love tore them apart but loyalty brought them back together.
Harlow, although she came across as a strong character she was also a doormat at times and it annoyed me how she caved easily and also how she accepted how both men treated her.
Now Casa, what a cocky character, also known as Casanova, he's a man slut, his view of women is for one use, sex, putting it bluntly he's single minded and a pig.
Once Casa meets sassy Harlow though it's game over for Casa and he falls hard.
Ride or Die 2 is about letting go, moving on, finding and accepting love and new beginnings all wrapped up in this gritty MC world.
Amongst club business, danger and enemies, Casa finds love something you never would think possible from his introduction, Dom starts to move on from Butch's death and gets his friend Harlow back and Harlow gets the love she deserves. A hea all round and no doubt Doms journey is to be continued.
I didn't bond with the characters, I nearly gave up a few times due to the characters behaviour, things said and the way the plot was but I stuck with it.
I read it, but can't say I enjoyed it
Music in my head, dance in my body, the rhythm of my heart.
How far can you fall in just one month? How quickly can the human spirit be broken? Where does evil hide in plain sight?
Ash wants to dance. Needs it. To leave behind a life of expectation and duty, to set his soul free.
But life is never that simple. Every step is a journey on a new road.
For every action, there is a reaction.
Every choice has a consequence.
And when you meet the wrong person, all bets are off.
Laney tolerates her limitations, pushing quietly at boundaries. But when Ash crashes into her world through rage and violence, it sets off a chain reaction that neither of them expected.
♫♪ ♫♪ ♫♪ ♫ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♫ ♪♫♪
Wow! I was not expecting that.
5 my sunshine stars.
" With you I am reborn..."
What a journey.
Ash went from being a dancer with hopes and dreams, leaving his country of Slovenia and going to Las Vegas too.. in only a matter of weeks becoming a victim, helpless, tricked, and threatened by members of the Russian Bratva.
Slave to the Rhyhm is a gritty journey with dark and real life struggles and sutuations in the undertones that eventually finds the sunshine.
The sunshine is Laney.
Laney is on vacation for a girls weekend and stumbles on and witnesses something that changes events for both her and Ash.
Laney is wheelchair bound some days and suffers from Rheumatiod Arthritis and lives with a boyfriend that acts more of a carer than a lover. A weekend away and a weekend to show she is more dependant than her boyfriend gives her credit for turns into both a nightmare and a blessing.
I can't even sum up this beautiful but bitter sweet love story, Jane Harvey-Berrick is so creative, each book I read by this author I am taken on a journey with the characters and this has so many twists and turns that I never did end up where I predicted to be and that was from the first chapters.
Slave to the Rhythm is a dark and gritty read yet also a powerful love story.
Two people who save each other in two completely different situations and two people who unexpectedly become one.
Contains disturbing scenes, talks of rape and abuse but doesent go into descriptive detail, there's mafia involvement, danger and enough drama to make your breath hitch.
Not forgetting beautiful intimate scenes and amazing strong characters.
"In the daylight that's when we work things out. Now, in the darkness well just hold each other. Tonight, let's believe the fairytale".
Told in first person dual pov. Available in KU. Leads to a breathtaking hea.

Nikan Rebuilt, a second chance romance.
I like the concept behind this series. 4 guys who all grew up in a group home, they form a band and stardom finds them.
Each band member has a story of their own and this is Nik and Jenny's.
Jenny and Nik were teenage sweethearts, first loves, with hopes and dreams involving each other.
When Nik goes on his first tour and Jenny stays behind to continue her education she supports him and awaits his return but a one night stand caught by the press ends it all.
Jenny leaves and Nik never finds her.
Eight years later and the girl who herself was once in a foster home is now a worker for children in care.
The story starts with Jenny getting a new job in the town she once called home and the past is disclosed as the story progresses.
Nik and the band still support the group home they grew up in and are active with the boys on a regular basis whenever they are home from tour with the band, this is when Nik finds Jenny again.
The new worker who joins the group home he discovers is Jenny.
Eight years of wandering where Jenny went with no chance to apologize or explain is suddenly at Niks feet and it's time to grovel to get her back.
Nik and Jenny's reunion is awkward. Jenny is still full of hurt while Nik is full of regrets for his immature decisions all those years ago.
Nik is determined to get his Jenny back now he has found her and Jenny needs to let go and forgive.
Nikan Rebuilt is a heart warming journey with great characters, no angst or drama which is sometimes needed to keep you turning the pages, it felt like a middle book the bit inbetween, a character that needed to be covered but he wasn't as interesting as the others but the journey was sweet, Nik and Jenny's story needed to be told and it did lead to an overdue hea for Jenny and Nik.
A story of second chances, finding ones self, trust, healing and hope.
Told in third person dual pov. Third book in the series.

Nik took the towels out of her hands and placed them on the dryer. “Hey, come here,” he said as he reached for her hands. “Talk to me.”
She wasn’t ready to, not least because she didn’t understand the swirl of feelings sweeping through her. To put into words for Nik exactly how that felt was impossible. “I’m fine, I’m good. I just have a lot to do here now.”
Nik placed his finger under her chin and raised her eyes so she was forced to look at him. “I think we can safely say that lies have no place between us. So, I’ll tell you what I’m thinking, and then you can tell me what you’re thinking. Okay?”
Jenny sighed and nodded. “Okay.”
“I didn’t come here tonight expecting to kiss you like this. I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t thought about it, but I know I have a lot of work to do to prove myself to you. But seeing you laugh, and seeing you look at me, just for a moment, without the pain I caused you in your eyes . . . Well, I don’t even know how to begin to explain what that felt like to me—except that I didn’t want to be away from you for another moment, and that it felt like a new beginning of sorts. If there’s any doubt in your mind about what that kiss did to me, I’d encourage you to touch me and check, but I think that might be a step too far, given where we are. Now it’s your turn.”
His words made her stomach flip, and despite her best efforts she was filled with a warm and fuzzy feeling. She looked over to the staircase again to check that nobody was within earshot. “We’re coming at this new friendship . . . relationship . . . from two completely different places. I’m mad at myself for letting you get this close to me again. It’s reckless to fall for you all over again and I know it. But when you stand so close to me, I can . . .” Crap. How could she explain that the way the smell of him, and the heat of him, and the proximity of him, and the touch of him took her straight back to that time and place where she wholeheartedly loved him?
“You can what?” Nik asked, moving his hands to her hips.
“I can remember us. Before.”
