Destiny is bogus and fate is fake.
Everything happens for a reason?
I gave up on my fairy tale years ago.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not settling for less.
All my energy gets poured into a job I love rather than dead end relationships.
Men aren't even a blip on my radar these days.
Who needs them?
Except to scratch the occasional itch, I'm not interested in anything they have to offer.
If so-called Cupid ever comes knocking on my door, I'll be waiting with my flying pig because happily ever after doesn't exist.
I've become a jaded disbeliever and my main reason just sauntered into the bar.
Rowen Sworr is the only arrow that pierced my heart, and dammit, he stuck.
His random reappearance is a complicated twist from that meddling matchmaker I didn't see coming..
Destiny, chance, fate? whatever you call it, cupid struck and there was no escape for lark.
Forget you not is an insta-love romance and second chance romance.
When lark and Rowen first meet at the diner where Lark is working it's love at first sight and Rowen tells lake exactly how he feels and they both feel the chemistry and the connection. Rowen lets Lark know he wants to explore his feelings he is having for her and will wait for her until her shift ends, only when her shift ends Rowen has gone.
From that brief encounter Lark holds a grudge and for years it effects her life and just that one encounter increased her abandonment issues.
Lark doesn't let any man disappoint her now and she uses them for one thing which is sex.
Lark's character; I found her behaviour odd for a counsellor, someone who supposedly guides people and gives life instruction to circumstances.
When Lark and Rowen see each other again years later at an engagement party they recognise each other instantly but Lark decides to play hard to get and her attitude is one of a woman scorned. I couldn't get my head around Larks attitude and behaviour and her ability to hold a grudge that long over a brief encounter.
Lark's character wasn't likeable to me although near the end I did warm to her as Rowen broke down her barriers.
Rowen is a sickly sweet romantic guy and does everything he can to make Lark see he is the man for her and what they felt years ago was the same only circumstance won't stop him this time.
A good story, ideal for a lazy Sunday afternoon with swoon worthy overload coming from Rowen.
My first book by this author and there were a lot of interaction with characters from the previous book so it was good reading about those to if you have read the previous book you get more of those characters which I always like in a series if you loved previous characters.
Harloe Rae's writing is easy to follow, the balance to everything was good, hot in all the right places to and told in first person dual pov. I would read other books by this author the story and these characters just wasn't enough for a reader like me who likes angst and drama.

The first book in a brand new YA/NA crossover series from l. a. cotton
When seventeen-year-old Eloise Stone finds herself half way across the world, moving into her Uncle's pool house, she expects things to be ... awkward. She doesn't expect to come face-to-face with the boy from last summer. The boy that made her feel things she'd never felt before. But a year is a long time, and Lo isn’t the same girl she was then. Besides, they’re family now.
Maverick Prince acts as if he doesn’t remember her, treating Lo like nothing more than an annoying younger sister, and not in a ‘he cares’ way, just in a ‘he’s an arsehole’ way. One thing‘s for sure, he isn’t just dangerous for her sanity—he’s hazardous for her heart.
Lo thought moving to Wicked Bay was the worst of her problems, but as life begins to unravel around her, she’s going to find out it’s only the beginning
What an exciting and gripping start to a new series.
Brilliant!, I clung on to the end with bated breath.
A high school romance but so much more to it, it's complicated. So.Much.More.
Lo, short for Eloise has just moved from the UK with her dad and into her Uncles home until their own home is ready. Lo's father is originally from America fell in love, moved to England with Elois's mother. Tragedy strikes when Lo's brother and mother are killed in a car accident and Lo is in hospital four months.
A new start, a new life, easier said than done especially when she discovers the boy she almost spent the night with on a visit to the states previously is her Uncles son in law who she is now sharing a house with.
Maverick is cool, mysterious, broody with a dark vibe, the boy in school that turns heads. Maverick is a guy who seems to have a huge chip on his shoulder and a lot of supressed anger but it's never revealed why and I feel this is the key to who Maverick is.
The moment Lo and Maverick meet the air crackles between them.
I loved Wicked beginnings, so full of suspense, every page I was hoping for answers or more clues to the mystery that is Maverick, the family, unspoken events that no one speaks of and other things that happen with some of the characters in school, whispers, narrowed glances, stares and cruel games.
I completely got into the head of Lo and the plot. There's only parts of the puzzle in this book and you get hints along the way that there is a whole bigger picture, Lo is in the dark still in this book and I am so eager for the light switch to go on.
LA Cotton had me both wanting to reach the end hoping to find out more but savouring Lo and Mavericks chemistry.
Wicked beginnings is book one with the continuation to follow.
Told in Lo's pov. A brilliant plot within a high school setting, some adult scenes and stacked with mystery & suspense.
Fans of Tijan's Fallen Crest will also love this and LA Cotton's previous series Chastity Falls.

She barged her way into my life and demanded that I be her friend. That was the best day of my life. The day Quinn took one look at my sorry ass, and decided I needed her.
She was right. I can’t live a day without her smile. She’s my heart and soul. I’ve become her shadow, always threatening any guy that dares to even look at her.
I’ve fallen for my best friend. I wish I’d told her sooner how much I love her.
I was only five minutes late. That’s all it took for him to take her.
He ripped the sun right out of my life.
In the darkest of nights, even your shadow leaves you. Those are the only words she’s spoken to me since that night. They haunt me, a constant echo in the emptiness left behind.
Because of him, she now fears me. But I’ll be patient with her.
I’ll get my sunshine back once I’ve dealt with him.
He’s had a taste of her and just like me, he’s addicted.
He’ll come for her again and when he does, I’m going to make him suffer.
I’m a Jackson. I’ve learned from the best. He’s a dead man walking and I’m the Grim Reaper.

Told in dual first persons pov. Contains a scene of violence. Can be read as a standalone and leads to hea.

I’ve let my traumatic past shape my future by becoming a protective agent. I don’t report to anyone. I’m the person you phone when you’re all out of options. I’m the one you turn to when you’re being devoured by desperation. I’m your last option and only hope of seeing your loved one alive again. I’m the man who will walk into a blazing inferno to find a kidnapped victim, because I have nothing to lose but so much to atone for.
She’s kept in a container, waiting for her death sentence to be carried out. She’s just another job, until I break my own rules and take her in. I tell myself it’s because she has no one. It’s only for a year. I’ll teach her how to become a ghost, so those who are after her won’t find her again.
It’s all lies.
I’ve lived a hard and unforgiving life. But then she comes and she gives me a reason to do more than just exist. This fragile woman gives me purpose. She’s so beautifully broken and it makes me want to keep her.
Brought together by our scars, we have to fight to free Cara from the sins of her father that haunts her every step.
But the past won’t let go easily, it will do whatever it takes to tear us apart.
This is the story of a woman’s fight for survival, of unspeakable cruelty, unconditional love, and the only man who can save her.
Get ready to fall in love with this new standalone sports romance from New York Times bestselling author Kim Karr.
He's the newly drafted quarterback.
Hot. Arrogant. Too sexy for words.
Ready to score.
I'm an athletic intern, and the coach's daughter.
Driven. Determined. Prepared to conquer the world.
The NFL is full of rules. Rules I've never broken. Never challenged. Never even scratched--until the day Lucas Carrington crashes into my life with his hard body and I-don't-give-a-f*ck attitude.
After I almost injure my father's star player, I volunteer to make sure he's in top shape. At first, it's hell. I don't like his cockiness, his easy smile. Don't like the way he oozes sex. Or how his penetrating eyes follow me everywhere.
That doesn't stop me from wanting him. He's meant to be a distraction--something to occupy my mind for these precious few remaining hot summer nights before I'm forced to leave football behind forever.
I know what we're doing will lead nowhere good. I know we're crossing the line. And I know my father will never understand.
None of that matters.
But maybe it should.
Rules aren't meant to be broken.
Or are they?
Awwww! when you finish a book on a happy sigh. I love this feeling.
I really enjoyed this forbidden secret love story.
Gillian and Lucas first laid eyes on each other on the football field. Gillian is part of the team staff and Lucas is the Rookie quarterback for the Chicago Bears.
Lucas being drafted is how the story starts and the wait to Lucas finding out who he will play for. Lucas has dreams of getting out of his hometown and finally experiencing life and the world but he gets drafted for his home town needless to say he is disappointed.
Gillian is an athletic intern trainer for the Bears and has been brought up by her father who is a football coach, Gillian lives and breaths football just like her dad.
Gillian and Lucas start off as friends and become more but neither of them can risk being caught especially when Gillian's father is head coach and protective of his daughter.
Lucas isn't your typical show off star player, he's down to earth, humble and swoon worthy but at times he really needed to grow a set of balls.
A lot of football talk in the plot but I plodded through and what did get me through was the hot and heartwarming moments and when I reached the ending it melted my heart.
Great likeable characters and another brilliant, romantic and sizzling read by Kim Karr.
Told in first person dual pov. No cheating, no women throwing themselves at Lucas, no wild nights or crazy stalkers this is Lucas and Gillian finally living their normal.

They call him The Mute for a reason.
Hard, cold and calculated, he rarely speaks.
When he does, it’s with disdain.
When he does, his words aren’t meant for me.
When he does, my stomach flips and my world tilts on its axis.
He is thirty-three.
I am eighteen.
He’s a single dad and my father’s business partner.
I’m just a kid to him and his enemy’s daughter.
He’s emotionally unavailable.
And I am…feeling. Feeling things I shouldn’t feel for him.
Trent Rexroth is going to break my heart. The writing isn’t just on the wall, it’s inked on my soul.
And yet, I can’t stay away.
A scandal is the last thing my family needs. But a scandal is what we’re going to give them.
And oh, what beautiful chaos it will be.
4.5 my tide stars. LJ Shen's writing is so captivating.
Another of the hot holes find love.
Scandalous is very different from the first book I ventured into in this series, LJ Shen gets better and better her writing more creative.
Trent is in his thirties he is partner in a successful business with Dean,Jaime and Vicious, The hot holes, they are ruthless, powerful and together they are all a force to be reckoned with.
Trent is a single father to a daughter who was the product of a one night stand, a beautiful girl who won't speak,. He has a partner in the business who is scheming to take him down and will use any means necessary even by using his 18 year old daughter to spy and gain private information.
Trent didn't have a privileged life growing up and the fight is on to keep what is his.
Edie Van Der Zee is the daughter of an evil business man a selfish and loveless man who has shares in the same company as Trent and the hotholes and he wants Trent's shares.
Edie is a young woman with a strong love of the freedom of the ocean, Edie is a surfer and with all the pressures from her father has bestowed on her the ocean is her solace and her escape.
Edie has the responsibility of caring for her mother with a mental illness who has been neglected by her husband and Edie also endures other things no young girl should be responsible for and her own father uses her, bribes her dangles what she needs and who she loves in her face threatening to take it all away and she has no choice to do his bidding.
Edie has no choice but to work at her father's firm and get close to Trent.
Let the games begin.
Edie is no pushover shes brave, strong, sassy, speaks her mind and only her father with his blackmail has the upper hand on her but with Trent you could say they instantly rub each other the wrong way and Sparks fly.
This is a slow burn romance filled with tension, lies, deceit, secrets, a dirty mouthed alpha and off the charts hotness.
Trent wanted what he didn't think he should touch, he's a man in his thirties and a Edie is a girl just starting her adult life, Trent is dark, brooding, moody and fights his attraction to Edie until all he can do was ride the wave.
A complex story with so much content, twists and turns, Scandalous is very different from previous books. Trent wasn't the a-hole character I have grown to love like others in this series but he still had those qualities you can't help but love.
Another brilliant and alluring read by L.J Shen.
Can be read as a standalone alone and leads to a hea.
So many favourite quotes from this book but here's two:
"Imperfection is where we thrive"
"You're my ocean. You make me wet"
"I promise to never stop making you wet, my little tide. Promise to always keep you drenched" ;-)

Life moves on.
Only people who have never lost anyone they loved with all their heart can blindly believe those words.
What if I didn’t want to move on? What if I wanted to wake up every morning with that familiar ache in my chest, knowing I’d never see her again?
But, life can change in a moment.
I knew that better than anyone … So, when I couldn’t get those mesmerizing green eyes out of my head, I decided to do something about it.

4 LADY BUG STARS
Greek swoon worthy hottie anyone?
Thano and kilyn I loved these two characters.
Thano is Greek, previously engaged but this ended in heartbreak and still years later is struggling to move on overwhelmed with grief.
Kilyn has been without parents from the age of 14 her best friend and their parents became her new family.
Two people who have both experienced grief.
A brilliant romantic story of new beginnings with humerous moments from the overwhelming and overbearing Greek family. OMG she's not greek she's Irish moments was so funny. Told in first person dual pov and leads to a heartwarming hea.
listened on audio by male and female narrators which was very good and dramatic in all the right places.
I would definitely read more in this series. Looking forward to Nic's story and more Greek family moments.
The Carolina Cold Fury hockey team is stacked with hotshots. But when a new player joins their ranks, he learns that even superstars can’t go it alone when it comes to love.
Lucas Fournier is only serious about one thing: hockey. The league’s fun-loving charmer, Luc is always up for a good prank or a great lay, and he has no intention of settling down. But being traded to the Carolina Cold Fury—and to play alongside his big brother, Max—is no joke. With another title in sight, the last thing Luc wants is to let his new teammates down. To succeed, Luc will need to keep his head in the game and the most . . . er, demanding member of his anatomy in check. But when temptation hits, Luc hits back harder.
Museum curator Stephanie Frazier has always put business before pleasure, which just about explains her nonexistent sex life. But when Stephanie meets Luc at a champagne-fueled gala, she finds herself flirting like crazy—and going home with the uninhibited athlete. For one night, she learns what passion is all about. She just never counted on the little surprise Luc leaves behind. And that’s when things really start to get . . . interesting.
Sawyer Bennett’s New York Times bestselling Carolina Cold Fury series can be read together or separately.
I'm not a sports romance fan or a hockey fan but I do love this series.
Lucas is another brilliant addition to the series. All these guys are so different in their own right and each story just as captivating.
This is Lucas's story and how he finds love. Lucas is the brother of max who has his own story in the series.
Lucas is book 8 and honestly I don't mind if Sawyer Bennett goes through the whole team and then into the reserves, I love Sawyers writing each book solely focuses on the characters and hockey is merely there occupation, each romance in the series push all the right buttons for me as to what I like in a contemporary romance read.
Lucas is the playboy in the family he isn't looking to settle down hes a famous hockey player and if he's looking for a bed of a woman for the night he doesn't have to try hard.
Stephanie is in the right place at the right time, a boring charity event that has them both looking to spice things up. Lucas is instantly attracted to Stephanie and her sass and they have a one night stand.
Stephanie falls pregnant and a month later has the task of seeking Lucas out and letting him know.
Lucas is a lovely guy he will make your ovaries ache he is so sweet and swoon worthy. H wants to do the right thing by Stephanie, get to know her and be involved in her pregnancy.
Stephanie hasn't had the same kind of loving upbringing as Lucas she doesn't even know family values or what it is like to be wanted by a parent. Stephanie has never felt love and Lucas scares her to a point where she has some high walls in place to protect herself.
Going from Lucas and knowing his feelings to Stephanie and her stubbornness you cant help but get frustrated with her but it all comes right in the end and I did love the journey.
Another brilliant read, another hockey player on my BBf shelf and I am looking forward to the next book the grumpy Van has got me excited to read his story.
Told in dual povs. A stand alone. Leads to HEA. No heavy drama or angst.

And T.L Smith has done it again!
Seriously; I love these guys, I shouldn't, I mean there all kinds of bad, their killers, leaders in the Russian Bratva but heck I just can't resist a bad boy.
I have loved everyone of these books, all brilliant in their own way, each of the guys are best friends, I've loved each one of there story's and there journey's on the road to romance, Death being my favorite of the bunch.
T.L Smith has a brilliant way of having you laughing at the banter between the guys one minute then white knuckle gripping your kindle the next with the Bratva involvements.
Anton, wow!, a man-whore to a man in denial and love, my favorite kind of story's, my guilty pleasure, he's cocky, witty, dangerous and a whole heap of sexy and Sam she really did fit in with the group, I liked her.
Sam is a stripper who puts her sisters needs first by working and doing what she does so her sister can study to be a doctor, she's selfless, has backbone & sass.
Can you have a fluffy dark Mafia Romance? I think you can, Anton & Sam's story fit that description perfectly.
Dismissed is exciting, I could read about these guys over and over I love them, I just thought it finished to abruptly though, kind of rushed at the end to reach a sort of satisfying hea to a reader it was like I blinked in the last chapter and it ended.
Dismissed is told in dual first persons dual pov, a standalone & part of a series.
Looking forward to the next book by T.L Smith. Recommended Mafia series with great characters you get to see in each book.

I used to believe in true love.
Until he broke me.
Where there’s love, there’s lies.
I used to believe I wasn’t what she needed.
Until I let her love in.
I’ve changed for her.
I want her to believe in me like I need to believe in myself.
Isaac James stayed out of my life for five years. He wasn't to blame, after all, protecting me imprisoned him.
Now he’s back. The chemistry is still there, the tension is still there, the love is still there… the pain is still there.
Isaac James was my rock, my first love… my family.
Olivia McKenna has always been my weakness. I’d do anything to protect her, which I proved, despite it taking me to prison.
I’ve stayed away, trying to do the right thing. I thought I was still protecting her. But, I’m lost without her… even if I’m not sure I can be what she needs.

My first book by this author & not my last.
Twisted Truth is a great story that captures everything I love in a contemporary romance with the added cherry on the cake of a childhood to adulthood love story.
There's military ops action, angst, danger, at times I got frustrated with the characters but it all leads to a happy ending. The author balanced everything out brilliantly and had me constantly turning the pages.
Via and Isaac grew up together, they are cousins but Isaac is adopted so he isn't a blood relative.
Isaac is protective of Via and they love each other but never do anything about it until Via is about 18, by this time Isaac has been in the army.
When Isaac sees bruises on Via from her ex he see's red, beats him which gets him thrown into jail and out of the forces.
Lives change from that point and Via doesn't see Isaac for years he refuses her visits.
There's secrets and lies, Isaac goes into Black Op's and stays away from Via to protect her but hurts her in the process with his cool and distant behavior and never telling her the truth about who he really is in his new life in the Black Op's which would explain why he is the way he is with her. Isaac is distant to protect her, something he has done all his life, Isaac has always looked out for and protected Via she just can't see it.
Throughout Twisted Truth Isaac is warm then cold, this is were I got frustrated with the characters, he tells Via he wants her but he knows he can't until his life is free from his operations.
Twisted truth is good, there's more than enough action and emotional events to keep you turning the pages.
*Spoiler if you have read previous books, I haven't read any previous books by this author but discover a death or deaths of a couple in this book, relations to both Via and Isaac are characters from a previous book so I'm going to stay away from that one and I'm not sure why the author has done that? why not used a distant relative for a funeral scene?.
In summary Twisted Truth is recommended for action, angst, passionate moments and a childhood friends to lovers story. Told in first person dual pov and can be read as a standalone.

When a reckless act upsets the balance between two MC clubs, everyone is fair game in the war that erupts.
Avery belongs to Lilith’s Army now, after being taken against her will, but she isn't just anyone, she's a Cutter's MC Princess, and they don't take kindly to people taking what's theirs.
As Avery’s life starts to spiral out of control, she finds that her only hope of survival is to put her trust in the man she doesn’t trust at all. The only man that can bring destruction to not only both clubs, but also to her heart.
When the fallout reaches beyond just the two clubs, the consequences bring death, devastation, and chaos for everyone.
The dynamics of both clubs change forever in the wake that follows. Fate isn’t done teaching Avery that life isn’t always better with the devil you know sometimes it’s with the devil you don’t.
So D.H Sidebottom & Ker Dukey did this thing...........
They only got together and wrote a fucking brilliant MC read!!.
I'm a Mafia & MC Book whore, I love the grittiness, the unpredictability, the darkness, the action, hotness and the bad boys you can't help but love.
Taking Avery was all that and more.
These two authors nailed it!
The very beginning of this book takes you to Avery and her friends on the way to a night out and stopping at a dingy gas station. When bikers pull up and an altercation takes place, innocents are killed and Avery and her friend are taken by the bikers.
Slade aka Frost discovers that his rogue and uncontrollable brother has messed up big time when they find Avery in his brothers room handcuffed and then see's what his brother Brenner missed, a mark on her neck, a mark stating she is the daughter and property of a rival MC.
To prevent a war Slade's father who is Prez comes up with a fabricated story as to why Avery would be at their club.
Avery won't be able to leave the club to prevent the truth being discovered and so she has to pretend she has been seeing Slade for a while behind her fathers back and they are running off to get married. Avery agrees with the plan through fear of her father and knowing what Brenner's actions would bring down on both clubs.
Slade is nothing like his evil brother, yes he's hard, tough, but like all these bad boys he lets his softer side shine through as he begins to spend time with Avery. Even amongst the chaos Slade was swoon worthy.
I couldn't put this book down eagerly wanting to know how everything was going to unfold.
The plot is compelling, There's danger, a club rat, twists and turns, even humour. Taking Avery was everything I love in an MC romance.
I loved it, and I am so looking forward to more from these two authors In the next book.
Told in first person dual pov and leads to a cliffhanger but not for Avery and Slade the cliffy is more a part of the corruption and the plot that leads to the next characters book but I'm still hoping to see a lot more of Slade and Avery for a fuller hea.
Excited for the next book.

Blood doesn’t make you family, loyalty does.
Marcel “Teller” Whelan, Treasurer of the Lost Kings MC, has always been two things—honest and responsible. At ten years old, he was already taking care of his baby sister. At eighteen, he patched into the Lost Kings MC and took a major role in shaping the club’s future.
Three years ago, he thought he’d met the perfect woman, only to have her reject everything he is—a Lost King.
One bullet is a lifetime supply.
Now, after an accident that left a girl dead and Teller almost crippled, he’s struggling through the darkest time in his life. His niece, sister, and Lost Kings MC family are the only things holding him together, but his reckless actions are bound to drive everyone away.
Then, in the most unlikely place, he crosses paths with her again. The woman he once thought might be his perfect match.
Love soothes our inner demons.
Sparks fly for both of them. She’s the ride-or-die woman he needs, able to calm his many demons and bring the light back into his life. But she has a secret—one that forces him to lie to his brothers.
In chaos we trust.
When Teller’s brothers find out who he’s falling in love with, it will create a storm of chaos for the Lost Kings MC. But if there’s one thing Teller’s turbulent life has taught him, it’s that sometimes love is worth the chaos.
Beyond Reckless is the 8th book in the popular Lost Kings MC series, but can be read as a standalone.
Marcel, aka Teller and Charlottes story.
Three years ago, he thought he’d met the perfect woman, only to have her reject everything he is—a Lost King.
I love this series the characters are so easy to love, they are all one big happy MC family and as you get to know each of them you can't wait to see who is going to find their O'l lady next.
Teller has been the carer of Heidi his sister for so long that even now she has her own possessive Alpha biker to take care of her Teller still can't seem to let go.
Teller has loved and lost and it was good to see Teller/Marcell finally find happiness and someone for himself, he is a selfless kind of guy.
Charlotte is the lawyer who assisted with the case when Heidi was younger living with and in the care of her Grandmother. All this has gone on through each of the series the MC is very much a part of each members lives. You don't just get the story of the two main characters in each book you get little bits of everyone else too. Not a bad thing.
I have grown to love all these characters which is why although it can be read as a stand alone, it would be appreciated more to start from the beginning.
Heidi once again needs Charlotte's advice so Teller takes the opportunity to go along and see Charlotte again. Three years earlier they had a one night stand following Heidi's custody case Charlotte left and Teller didn't see her again until she saw him wearing a biker jacket and got spooked she had only seen him dressed for court up to that point but Charlotte also has her own secrets.
Autumn states at the end of the book that she did't intend on this being a duet but it is.
There is so much about Heidi and what has gone on previously including other things at the club at the beginning of the book before you get to Charlotte and Teller reaching a relationship it makes you think, could it of been one book? if Autumn had mainly focused on the main characters and now backtracked or over elaborated ? but this is how Autumn writes and so I just going to have to wait to see what happens next in the second part for Charlotte and Teller.
Contains fan me down hot scenes, told in dual first person's pov, no heavy angst or drama kind of unusual for an MC read but this is what I love about this series and it finishes leaving you wanting more.

THE LOST KINGS MC SERIES
Slow Burn (Lost Kings MC #1) - on sale for .99 cents!
Her story started long before she started working at The Sky Launch...
Screw fairytales. The only reward Gwen Anders got from her rough childhood was a thick skin and hard heart. She’s content with her daily grind managing a top NYC nightclub—Eighty-Eighth Floor. So hers isn’t a happily ever after. She doesn’t believe in those anyway.
Then she meets J.C.
The rich, smooth talking playboy is the sexiest thing that Gwen has ever encountered, but she’s not interested in a night-in-shining latex. But when a family tragedy pushes her to the brink, it’s J.C. who’s there to teach her a new method of survival, one based on following primal urges and desires. His no-strings-attached lessons require her to abandon her constant need for control. Her carefully built walls are obliterated.
Gwen discovers there’s a beautiful world outside her prison. Freedom is exhilarating—and terrifying. When she starts to feel something for J.C., she fears for her heart. Especially as she realizes that he has secrets of his own. Secrets that don't want to set him free.
This series can be read alone or with the Fixed Trilogy.

Free Me is a spin off story from Laurelin Paige’s Fixed Trilogy. It can be read as a standalone.
Told in Gwen's pov and is part of a duet.
I listened to the audio edition of this book. The narration was good, giving the impression both characters were very laid back people with the steady narration and very little drama.
Free me was extremely hot and an ok read, I just got frustrated with the characters.
Gwen has had a hard life growing up, a father who physically abused her, a brother who is gay which fueled her fathers abuse, both of them are taken care of by their older sister when their father was put into prison for child child neglect.
Gwen now older, a manager of a club is someone who is very by the book and little or a lot uptight at times. Gwen doesn't go out socializing, she works or has the company of her sister who works for Hudson Pierce.
Gwen meets JC at her club. On a night Gwen doesn't normally work she walks into a room of men gambling and smoking and half naked women. Gwen isn't impressed at all and doesn't know this has been going on for a long time an arrangement with the owner who has never mentioned it to Gwen obviously knowing how Gwen would react and so when she does discover what is going on she protests to what is happening.
Gwen becomes bewitched by JC instantly after the shock and he see's a kindred spirit in Gwen. JC Plays on Gwen's uptight demeanor and from there with a little taunting J.C gets Gwen to agree to an arrangement to help Gwen discover herself, be more at ease with herself, free her.
A sexual arrangement, sex. Just sex. There are rules though not to get close emotionally. The more time they spend together, the easier those rules start to break and Gwen’s walls start to fall, she falls in love with JC.
Gwen doesn't even know JC'S real name the arrangement has never allowed them to know each other personally but when Gwen's father is released from prison and Gwen is in danger, their relationship moves to the next level but there are conditions to JC revealing who he is. I was excited about this but it ended up a bit of a flop and not exciting at all really, secretly I was hoping he was some Mafia boss or something.
Gwen is uptight at first, the sort of boss were none of the staff go to except to receive orders, she comes across as cold and closed off. JC begins to change that about her but love begins to also make her naive accepting whatever JC gave her, she wants to ask questions but doesn't want to scare him away, in her thought she sounds too needy. Gwen is just satisfied with spending time with him, Gwen isn't getting any younger and given her none relationship history and upbringing I didn't like this for Gwen who I thought deserved more than just a sexual arrangement.
JC; he's laid back, a man of mystery obviously sexually experienced, not sure where that comes from the story never goes into it or about what the gatherings were weekly at the club, we find out very little about JC until the last chapter which is still sketchy.
The Epilogue is mainly about Gwen getting a new job and starting a fresh.
Would I read book two? honestly I have very little to be curious about, what may happen next? and with very little drama or angst in this story it didn't give me enough to want to, the hotness kept me going though.
It was complicated, it was also just the beginning.
A simple choice.
There is always that one moment in life where things could have been different. That one moment where you could have chosen a path that would lead you down a certain road.
A different life.
It was easier to pretend that we were still best friends, and that she was my girl and I was her boy.
Pretending was better than knowing the truth...
I. Ruined. Us.
I had her.
I lost her.
I love her.
All I did was complicate us.

IT WAS COMPLICATED. IT WAS MESSY. IT WAS US.
5 Half pint stars. 5 You're my brown eyed girl stars. 5 The good o'l boy stars. 5 everything happens for a reason stars. In fact all the stars go to this book!.
I loved it!, it wasn't just the way I was pulled into the lives of Alex (aka half pint) and Lucas (aka Bo), it wasn't just the fact this was a childhood friends to lovers story which is my guilty pleasure & one of my favourite sub genres and it wasn't the fact it took me through every emotion I could possible have, IT WAS EVERYTHING!
The bond between Alex and the boys was heartwarming, the special bond between the 6 year old Alex and the 10 year old Lucas even more special and it never changed even after fall outs and the arguments, the hurts and the upsets, she was still his brown eyed girl and he was her Bo
"We would always be linked, we were destined to be soul mates"
Alex's parents were close they all had a bond and all 5 of the kids grew up together, all the boys treated Alex like a little sister, until she wasn't little anymore, the boys started seeing girls and although they still loved and protected her, one of them remained her constant and that was Lucas.
The heartache and angst I felt for Alex when she saw her Bo with other girls in the teenage years and the pain they caused each other as the years went on just to please other people was heartbreaking.
This is a story from childhood to adulthood, you are taken on the ups and downs, the highs and lows the happy and sad times and the complicated.
I have loved every book I have picked up by M Robinson and this book has been on my kindle that long I actually thought I had read it, I was like WHAT how did that happen? so once I started of course I couldn't put it down.
I feel like I have been through the ringer with this one but oh how happy I was at the end. I am so looking forward to reading the rest of the boys journeys and how their story's turn out.
Told in dual pov's and leads to a very rewarding and glorious ending.

Ghosted is a heartwarming and heartbreaking story of sacraficial love with moments that are like gems in a treasure box. I went through all the feels with this book.
The author captivated my attention and emotions throughout with beautiful words and hot, intense, humeros moments.
Ghosted has everything I adore in a romance read.
Recommended read, it's one of those books were you feel you've gone on a journey with the characters and finish on a happy sigh.
Told in first person dual pov, no cheating and leads to a hea.
***He wants a second chance. I want a divorce. To get what I want, I’ll have to give him what he does.***
From New York Times & USA Today bestselling author, Nicole Williams:
The only benefit I want from my ex is a divorce.
We got married for all the wrong reasons. The one thing we got right was our separation. I should have known better than to think I could bet on forever with a guy like Canaan Ford. Everything about him screamed impermanent, from his wild eyes to his restless soul.
When I left him and the small town I’d spent my whole life in, I swore I’d never go back. Never only turned out to be five years. Canaan claims he’s changed, but he hasn’t—same knowing smile, same rough demeanor, same body crafted from sin and sinew. And yet, something is different. He thinks this is his chance for redemption. My disagreement comes in the form of divorce papers dropped in his lap. He refuses to sign them. Unless . . .
He wants a month to prove himself to me—that’s his offer. One month to make me fall in love with him again and if I don’t, he’ll sign the papers. As much as I want to say no, I agree. I can suffer my ex for a short amount of time if that’s what it takes to be free of him once and for all. I fell for him once; I won’t make that same mistake twice.
He says we’re not over. I say we were over before we got started. Only one of us can be right, and I can’t let it be him.
A second chance romance.
The Title? I don't think it suited this book at all. It suggests something like friends with benefits but sleeping with your ex, an arrangement. This wasn't that kind of story at all and that title belittles the heartwarming and moving moments within this book.
A beautiful story of regrets, heartache, promises of change and fighting for what's important.
"You fight for what's important.
That's the way life is. And you are worth every fight I have in me. "
Canaan was a fighter, Maggie got to a point were she couldn't see him go through the torture of what he was putting himself through any more, following the death of his brother, the fights, the drinking so she left, she left?, didn't see maybe it was a cry for help, her reasoning was she couldn't watch him put himself through that anymore so Maggie left her home town and left for a city, turning her back on her childhood best friend, first love and husband.
Teenagers in love, married at 18 this is a beautiful story of fate, timing and second chances, Nicole Williams captivated my heart with Canaan's story.
The night Maggie left Canaan promised to change but she left anyway, Canaan is a product of the saying sometimes it takes losing what you love to finally making that change.
Five years later Maggie returns to the small town were she was brought up under sad circumstances, the death of her aunt, a constant in her life who had been there for her after the death of her parents.
Canaan completely bowled me over with his revelations, his persistence for Maggie and his confessions. Canaan Ford takes pride of place on my BBF shelf.
I swooned so much at the words of Canaan and his actions & Maggie, did she deserve him? I didn't think so. Maggie yes I liked her but some of her words and actions not so much, she was such a frustrating character while Canaan laid it all out there thought she hung on the moon, Maggie held her cards close to her chest with her indecision.
Exes with benefits is a really good second chance romance that will have you crossing your fingers for the hero not because Maggie deserves it but because he will capture your heart and you just want him to find that happiness and that happiness is his childhood sweetheart , first and last love Maggie.
Told in First person Maggie's Pov has heartwarming and hot moments and leads to a heartwarming HEA

New York Times bestselling author, Emma Hart, brings together two polar-opposite single parents in the second book in the sinfully sexy Vegas Nights series.
Detective Adrian Potter had a lot to answer for. I didn’t care that he was tasked with shutting down the city’s most prolific hookers.
I cared that he was stopping me from providing for my daughter.
He didn’t care.
Not at all.
Until I broke down in the backseat of his car… And he let me go.
Adrian was a single parent, too. He knew how hard I had it. At least, he thought he did.
He had a job. He had people who cared. He didn’t know just how lucky he was.
My name is Perrie Fox.
I was a whore of the highest value.
Until Detective Adrian Potter.
Until the tattooed, redemption-seeking detective entered my life, looking for his fairytale.
The cop and the hooker.
Happily ever fucking never.
You’ve met one Fox sibling.
Now meet the other…
(LUST is book two of the Vegas Nights series. While it is a standalone, the time frame does overlap with scenes in the previous book, SIN. You can, however, read LUST without reading SIN.)
Sassy, Sexy, Sensual, Stimulating, Emma Hart has done it again with Lust.
I adored these characters.
Adrian; Sexy hot cop and single dad.
Perrie; Prostitute and single mum.
Two people on opposite sides of the law whose worlds collide with a bang in more ways than one.
I loved Perrie's character, a woman fallen from grace, she's sassy, a survivor and a woman with backbone. Perrie was in the previous book Sin briefly, Damien and Dhalia's story, she is the estranged sister of Damien. Perrie has a reverse Cinderella story, from riches to rags, rejected by her family and takes to the streets to provide for her daughter.
Adrian is part of a task force to prevent prostitution in Vegas. The night he meets Perrie at a bar she is tricked into thinking he is a potential client. Arrested and in the back of a police car Perrie breaks down at the thought of her daughter alone. This tough cop with a kindred spirit see's a single mum doing what she can to survive and let's her go with conditions.
"Perrie Fox was destined to be mine. There were no two ways about it. She was mine. End of."
I loved the plot, what unfolds and how the relationship with Perrie and Adrian develops. It's a slow burn romance from hate on Perrie's side to lovers and as you delve deeper into Lust the chemistry is sizzling.
I didn't expect resistance at every corner. Resistance that came with the sexiest, sassiest mouth I'd ever encountered and the hottest goddamn body to ever cross my path.
"selfish is something I'm not. Honest, yes. And I'm being honest when I tell you that if I pushed you against the wall behind you and kissed you until you couldn't' breath, you'd like me a lot"
I loved the interaction with the kids too as Zac and lola become good friends they do what they can to make their mum and dad fall in love the little schemers made me laugh out loud so many times.
Lust is brilliantly balanced read with everything I love in a romance, hotness, humour, a great plot, likeable characters, intriguing backstory's and the icing on the cake a perfect ending.
Told in dual first persons pov and can be read as a standalone.
Another addictive read by Emma hart and I am so looking forward to the next book Miss Fix it that has me squealing with delight it looks so good.

Damien Fox lived up to his name.
Cunning, sly, and dangerous, fifty percent of Vegas’ strip clubs were his.
Whatever he wanted, money, attention, women, he got.
And now he wanted to buy my bar, no matter the cost.
I wanted him to go to hell on a first-class ticket.
He played a dirty game, and I followed his rules. I let him think he would win.
Despite our differences, it was clear to see that we were no more than two broken hearts colliding in the darkness.
Closed off, sexy, and holding a pain that would crush a lesser man, he was the ultimate sin.
One I couldn’t deny myself, even though I knew better than to trust a fox...

After a lifetime of uncertainty, Raine Winston shouldn’t be fazed by anything anymore. But she’s terrified. Terrified that her wayward sister, Claire, has gotten into debt dangerously over her head. Terrified that a muscle-clad biker named Diego doesn’t want payment with money—he wants much more. And terrified of the dizzying desire she feels whenever Diego touches her…
Diego Montesalto spends his days raising hell and his nights in the arms of fast, easy women. Tough, tattooed, and used to taking what he wants, he refuses to get emotionally invested in anyone. But he can’t stop thinking about Raine’s sweet smell, striking blue eyes, and quiet determination. She may have the spirit of a warrior, but she needs someone to guide and protect her.
When Raine has no choice but to go on the run, she falls straight into the Hells Saints’ mayhem-filled world…and into Diego’s strong arms. But in a life filled with hard choices, raw lust, and blood-soaked violence, is there room for loyalty…or love?
Revised edition: Previously published as Game Changer, this edition of Raine Falling includes editorial revisions.
I really enjoyed Raine Falling.
The whole book was captivating from start to finish. It wasn't your usual MC read either, there was no club business or rival wars, this was the lives of two sisters and survival.
Told in third person in each persons pov mostly Raine's, this isn't my favorite choice in how I read books, I do like getting in the heads of the characters and like alternate first persons pov's but somehow with this book I didn't mind, it felt right it being told like a story.
It all begins when Raine, on the same night she was supposed to be celebrating her nursing degree went home to find her sister surrounded by bikers and her sisters brother beat up. Claire was addicted to cocaine & her boyfriend and he was addicted to drugs and they owed money to the wrong people.
Raine was given 5 days to come up with the cash.
Both sisters were brought up by a man who was their fathers best friend who was also in love with their mother, but he also saw the love his best friend had for her too, Claire and Raine's mother was a beautiful woman inside and out and the author did a beautiful job of letting me as a reader completely capture how she was, what took place and how Raine's dad had been so in love with her he was broken and heartbroken following her death, Prosper stepped in to look after the girls.
Prosper was the president of an MC and before he left Raine he had told her that no matter or when if she ever needed him he would be there and he gave her instructions.
The night Raine found her sister, she planned to get the money they owed but after another visit from a biker 2 days later she was in despair, gets her sister into rehab and used the instructions Prosper had given her which then leads her to the MC.
This is one of those story's that tells it as it is, from beginning to end with no misgivings along the way, its a beautiful journey, with small words of treasures that capture your heart, I trusted the author to deliver a hea and was not disappointed.
There was danger and angst along the way, hot moments which could of been more graphic but the whole book was balanced brilliantly, yes there was room for improvement with how some things were delivered but I was so caught up In the story and what was going to happen next I didn't care.
A story of survival, family and more importantly new beginnings which out of chaos Raine finds with Diego.
The characters I loved, although at times Diego made my blood boil for how he treated Raine but the story told of life's up and downs, danger, moving forward, regrets and love, the love of a man the love of a woman and the love of the family around you whatever shape or form they come in.
Fans of Cat porter would also love this story.

4 Champagne stars.
Cat & Seth's story. This is a continuation from where Joss and Paul's story finished in Tequila & Lace, the 2nd book in the series also following Angeles & Whiskey.
Champagne & handcuffs begins with Bryce the king pimp who is Joss's brother as we discovered in the last book and now in custody. The story then launches into Seths and Cats story who were best friends with Joss growing up.
A childhood love that grew to more but through a misunderstanding fell apart.
Now years later they are both brought together for Joss's wedding and Seth is helping Joss with her case to take down the head of the sex trafficking business along with her brother Bryce who is helping for a plea bargain.
A childhood to adulthood romance, a good story that also rounds up book two perfectly.
With Paul and Joss already having plans to get married in the other book I wasn't sure how it would go other than the case to work on. The author linked the two books perfectly from one romance to another but continuing the sex trafficking and prostitution case plot.
Champagne & handcuffs could be read as a standalone, Joss does go over her story with Cat who hasn't seen her in years so picking this book up you wouldn't feel like you don't know what happened before but would possibly be confused as to why Bryce is at the beginning in just one chapter.
Told in each persons pov mainly Cat and Seths.
Leads to hea, contains action, hotness and great characters. Theres more than enough to keep you turning the pages. Great series with more to come.

After years of living alone, Nash Campbell sets eyes on curvy beauty Eden Sutherland again, the day she steps out of her brother's pickup truck and falls directly into his arms. He may have made a promise to her brother to take care of her, but it isn't long before Nash is fixed on wrangling his best friend's little sister into his bed—and his life.
Eden Sutherland enjoys living alongside her brother in the old farmhouse where they grew up, but when he's deployed, she's uprooted to Circle C Ranch and dumped in the arms of her brother's best friend, irritatingly moody and maddeningly sexy cowboy Nash Campbell. The boy who pulled her pigtails and made the butterflies jump in her stomach for the first time when they were kids. She may have grown up running through the pastures at Circle C, but that doesn't mean seeing Nash again is easy on the heart. She's been purposefully avoiding this man for years, and now she has to call him roommate…
Warning: When this filthy-talkin' cowboy falls, it's hard and fast. Insta-love obsessed, countrified goodness is the best way to describe this rough rider. Sit back, relax, and grab a sweet tea, it's about to he heart. She may have grown-get sticky down south.
"I was still that eleven year old girl who fell in love with a boy she could never have".
A childhood friends to lovers story and a brothers best friend romance.
Rough Rider is hot & quick, it's not the usual insta-love story from this author because Eden has loved Nash since she was a little girl and Nash has loved Eden since she was running around on his ranch in pigtails.
When Colt who is serving in the forces is deployed he leaves his sister with his best friend to watch over.
Two years Eden has tried to avoid Nash to avoid the feelings she was having, unable to have a relationship with anyone because no other compares to her childhood crush.
Eden is furious with her brother, insists shes a woman and doesent need baby sitting and plans to leave for college as soon as he's gone.
This may not be an insta-love story but as soon as the two of them are alone on the ranch the hotness soon reaches steaming point it's insta-hot!
"She was mine, she knew she was mine, and I wanted to mark every part of her".
A hot dirty talking alpha cowboy, a sassy woman in love, Rough Rider is sweet, hot and sexy.
I love these quick hot reads by Aria Cole, a bite-sized romance that hits the spot but this one had me feeling like I have read a longer book I was captivated by the characters story.
Told in first person dual pov & leads to hea.
It's not just the motion of the ocean, ladies. It's definitely the SIZE of the boat too.
And I've got both firing on all cylinders. In fact, I have ALL the right assets. Looks, brains, my own money, and a big c*&k.
You might think I'm an a*&hole. I sound like one, don’t I? I'm hot as sin, rich as heaven, smart as hell and hung like a horse.
Guess what? You haven't heard my story before. Sure, I might be a playboy, like the NY gossip rags call me. But I’m the playboy who’s actually a great guy. Which makes me one of a kind.
The only trouble is, my dad needs me to cool it for a bit. With conservative investors in town wanting to buy his flagship Fifth Avenue jewelry store, he needs me not only to zip it up, but to look the part of the committed guy. Fine. I can do this for Dad. After all, I’ve got him to thank for the family jewels. So I ask my best friend and business partner to be my fiancée for the next week. Charlotte’s up for it. She has her own reasons for saying yes to wearing this big rock.
And pretty soon all this playing pretend in public leads to no pretending whatsoever in the bedroom, because she just can’t fake the kind of toe-curling, window-shattering orgasmic cries she makes as I take her to new heights between the sheets.
But I can’t seem to fake that I might be feeling something real for her.
What the fuck have I gotten myself into with this…big rock?
BIG ROCK is a standalone, dirty romance novel written from the guy’s POV by NYT Bestselling author Lauren Blakely…
Best friends to lovers romance/Romcom.
Big Rock is a great read, it's funny, flirty, sexy, heartwarming and great likable characters.
Spencer is such a laid back character, he's cocky but a great guy, it was a pleasant journey to see this playboy bachelor finally find his match.
“…bigger is better. It’s more fun. Ask any woman who’s ever had to utter the dreaded words,
“Is it in yet?”
When Spencer has to pretend to be engaged for a week to help his dad with a business deal, give his dad the happy family look instead of the my son's a man-whore and play boy look, Spencer asks his lifelong friend and business Charlotte to do the deed and of course she says yes, Charlotte has always been there for Spencer and Vice Versa.
The pretending becomes so real, friend barriers begin to get to get crossed and I loved it, it was so hot, sexy and I laughed out loud so many times.
Great read with no cheating and leads to hea, told in Spencer's pov.
I Listened Big Rock on audio narrated by Sebastian York the narrators voice really suited Spencer's character it was great.
