Chart topping U.S. rock band, Default Distraction, have everything money can buy...
Brody Daniels, lead singer of DD, has a life that many people envy. Money, fast cars, extravagant houses and a constant stream of beautiful women.
But he's tired of the rock n roll lifestyle, and so damn sick of the pretence.
He wants something real, something tangible...
Amy Harper has had more than enough of “real”. She has nothing to call her own. Unless you count a large overdraft and a struggling village shop.
She's so tired of pushing against the tide, just for once she wants to be swept away with it...
An accidental meeting is all it takes for Brody to claim the reality he wants.
A few stolen moments are all Amy has to give, before once again her reality consumes her.
Can he convince her to take a chance on him when experience tells her to walk away?
Brilliant!! I am already itching to read more books in this series.
Although this is a rock-star romance, there is more focus on the characters and the plot. The setting is within a small town in the U.K
Brody is the first book in the Default Distraction series by A.S. Roberts, the story of Brody Daniels who is the lead singer of the rock band, Default Distraction.
Brody has been a rock-star for years, he's at a time in his life where he's been there, done that, he has groupies falling at his feet everywhere he goes and he is at a point in his life where it's tiring, life on the road is tiring, the woman throwing themselves at him are tiring, he is also a recovering alcoholic.
Brody is one of the new owners of a local Manor that holds events and of course has guests, while in town Brody notices a woman in a quaint Victorian shop called “A Stitch in Time” he is instantly attracted to her, you could say it was love at first sight.
Amy runs her Grandmothers shop, her Grandmother who has raised-her from a child is currently suffering from dementia and is an a care home.
Both characters have a background that is tragic, the plot building was one with anticipation. Brody peruses Amy who has trust issues due to her past but he does not disclose who he is, at first Amy assumes he is in town for a wedding due to his American accent, Brody wants Amy to get to know the real him, not the one the media see's and so he does not disclose more than what he is willing to give until she gets to know him more as a person.
A story of trust, new beginnings and soulmates.
"I wasn’t sure of who I was when I was with him, but he made me feel sexy, he made me feel everything".
BRODY, is a brilliant heartwarming story that I could not put down, it was hot in all the right places and I adored the characters, I cannot wait to read more, I am already interested in other characters that were in this story, Amy's cousin and friend and also Brody's other band-mates, this looks like it is going to be a great interconnected series and I cannot wait to read more.
Told in first person dual pov and leads to a hea.
