Beards, brothers, and bikers! Oh my!
Identical twins Beau and Duane Winston might share the same devastatingly handsome face, but where Beau is outgoing and sociable, Duane is broody and reserved. This is why Jessica James, recent college graduate and perpetual level-headed good girl, has been in naïve and unhealthy infatuation with Beau Winston for most of her life.
His friendly smiles make her tongue-tied and weak-kneed, and she’s never been able to move beyond her childhood crush. Whereas Duane and Jessica have always been adversaries. She can’t stand him, and she’s pretty sure he can’t stand the sight of her…
But after a case of mistaken identity, Jessica finds herself in a massive confusion kerfuffle. Jessica James has spent her whole life paralyzed by the fantasy of Beau and her assumptions of Duane’s disdain; therefore she’s unprepared for the reality that is Duane’s insatiable interest, as well as his hot hands and hot mouth and hotter looks. Not helping Jessica’s muddled mind and good girl sensibilities, Duane seems to have gotten himself in trouble with the local biker gang, the Iron Order.
Certainly, Beau’s magic spell is broken. Yet when Jessica finds herself drawn to the man who was always her adversary, now more dangerous than ever, how much of her level-head heart is she willing to risk?
This series is amazing, I am totally addicted. I listened to Beard Science first and just had to start this series from the beginning, I fell in love with the Winston brothers.
Duane and Jessica's story is childhood to adult love story. I swooned, laughed and enjoyed the ride through the ups and downs all the way to the hfn and I cannot wait to get more glimpses of Duane and Jessica in other stories as they prepare to take their relationship to another level.
There are 6 brothers and one sister in this series and each brother has his own unique character, Cletus in book 3, I discovered was a complex and lovable puzzle, Duane had the potential to be a hothead, he's a risk-taker, an adrenaline junkie but also a man with few yet deep and meaningful words, I cannot wait to discover more of these Winston men and the woman who steel their hillbilly hearts.
Brilliantly narrated, I would definitely listen to more in this series via audio.
Genevieve Daylee didn’t expect to be standing in front of a judge on her twenty-seventh birthday. But ever since her life became entangled with a former motorcycle gang, she’s learned not to expect anything but trouble.
Her mother, a woman she once admired and adored, is gone, leaving behind a trail of secrets and lies. She’s living in a tiny apartment above a garage owned by her brother, a man who loathes her very existence. And the father she met beside her mother’s grave is as much of a stranger as Isaiah Reynolds, the broken man with soulless eyes standing beside her in front of the judge.
Isaiah is her protector from the murderer at large in Clifton Forge. Though he’s more like a riven knight in dented armor than a prince on a white stallion. She knows next to nothing about him, other than he works as a mechanic. As of tonight, he’ll be sharing her bathroom.
And, according to the judge, Isaiah is now her husband.
The love story is new, the suspense and mystery continues..
Riven Knight, is book 2 in the Tin Gypsy series, If you have read the first book Gypsy King then I am sure you are also anxiously waiting to know what the story is behind the secretive ex-con mechanic Isiah and his relationship with Genevieve who has recently come discovered who her father is following her mothers death.
The mystery and suspense continues following Amina's death. Amina is Genevieve's mother and also the woman Draven ex-president of the Tin Gypsy's, Dash's father and Genevieve's father had a one night stand with and after he left she was later murdered but the police are pointing the finger at Draven. The ex Gypsy members, Isaiah and Genevieve, the lawyer, all are getting involved to try and discover who the killer was, looking for clues as the trial draws closer for Draven who is the biggest suspect.
There are so many twists and turns, layers, and layers to this story and so much suspense, I loved it! and the relationship between Genevieve and Isiah was nail-biting, such a slow burner, I was so eager for them to make it work.
A total roller-coaster of a ride, a definite series to follow and so different to most MC romance reads I have read.
This isn't your typical MC, the Tin Gypsy MC is out of business, the loyal members continue to work at the garage but just because there is no club business or club anymore doesn't mean it lacks angst, danger, and on the edge stuff. I cannot wait for the next book in the series, I'm addicted.
TOLD IN FIRST PERSON POV. LEADS TO HFN. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND READING AS A STANDALONE

Forced together by circumstance she seeks solace in Sawyer’s flirty banter which strokes her neglected ego,
and as time passes and wine loosens her tongue she confesses Logan’s presence and her current humiliation.

Dare Me Part Two Sawyer and Billie coming soon
DARE YOU Buy Link - mybook.to/DareYou
Can I say dreamboat in this century? because that's the only word that comes to mind when I think of Sawyer.
Sawyer came to Billie's rescue in a crowded restaurant when her cheating husband was there with his new 10 years younger shiny toy and he pretended to be her new, also younger model, he then spotted her months later in a crowded bar while he was up on stage with his guitar and sang to her, sawyer was just dreamy with his words and persistent in his chase following their second fate meeting despite Billie having huge hangups about her being an older single mum and let me tell you, I wanted to shake her myself more than once, thank goodness for her best friend who talked some sense into her and for Sawyer's persistence and patience, because I was running out of it with her.
I loved this story, a story about love with no age barrier, restoration of confidence after a knockdown and a story of life's second chances, I could not turn the pages fast enough. The balance within the story containing drama, angst, and hotness was perfect and I did not for one moment get bored or antsy with the plot itself.
A definite recommended older woman younger man romance with twists and turns along the way.
I've given this review 4.5 stars because, honestly, I felt I reached my happy with their story and I'm a little scared now for more, I'm quite sure there will be angst, drama and issues with the exes as well as family matters following their happy for now ending and I don't think we know all there is to know about Sawyer either yet, so although scared for what is to come that may burst the happy bubble I have now, I will definitely be in the Que anticipating the release of the next book in this duet told in Sawyers pov.
A realistic page turner of a book.

FINISHED TOO SOON!
A filthy biker from New York. Shelby’s a sassy waitress from Texas.
I loved swagger and Sass so much I cannot wait until Rooster and Shelby's full story is released.
Swagger and Sass is a short Novella giving you an insight on how Rooster who the VP and member of the Lost Kings MC and Shelby who is a waitress and country singer meet.
I love the idea of this book, hot bossy biker meets sweet southern country singer, I cannot wait to see where this will go, I am already anticipating a bumpy ride and roller-coaster of emotions in their story. I love Rooster, he definitely had all the swagger but I couldn't really call Shelby sassy, she wasn't outspoken enough or ballsy enough for me to call her that but she was a likeable character.
A total tease of a book, I will be looking out for the next one.
I am a world-class thief. Or I was, before I got pinched and landed in prison. After I served my time, I decided to get on the right side of the law, or as much as my job at Jameson Force Security allows. The lines sometimes blur, which suits me just fine. My name might be Saint, but I’m a devil to most.
My plan to go legitimate is going as anticipated, until my past and present collide in a big way. While in Paris preparing to take down a ring of highly specialized thieves, I come face-to-face with my biggest threat—and my most dangerous temptation.
Sindaria “Sin” Westin was the love of my life, until her betrayal landed me behind bars. Now I’ve got to find a way to trust her again, at least long enough to pull off this job. When it becomes clear the price for this heist will be our lives, I realize I need to do whatever it takes to keep Sin safe, even if it means trading my life for hers. Because no matter the lies I’ve told myself, Sin’s greatest theft was the day she stole my heart

Master thieves sin and saint, a perfect match
CODE NAME HEIST is the third book in the Jameson security series.
After serving time in prison for theft Saint Belliner joins the team at Jameson security with the intention of going straight. When a job comes in to go undercover and and get on the team that has a huge heist coming up Saint is the man for the job with his skills and ability and his reputation in the field, obviously his new crime boss who has his own private and secret collection of stolen paintings, jewels etc isn't aware of Saints intention of taking him down but he then finds himself in a huge compromising position when he meets his team members for the job and is faced with the woman he once loved and the woman who betrayed him and got him sent to prison, Sindaria Weston .
Sindaria Weston AKA Sin has always known the life of crime and was taught first by her father who is also a master thief, she is skilled and talented and can crack any lock.
Saint and Sin have both pretty much been thieves their whole lives, starting off with small thefts when younger and progressing to more high end heist, going from one job to another and from one thrill to another.
Sin and Saint fell in love while doing a job, being on the same team and they had plans and dreams to one day go straight and have normal lives until the end of a job came and Saint gets caught and goes to prison.
This isn't a happy reunion for Saint but Sin had her reasons for doing what she did all those years ago and the two gradually and eventually pick up where they left off while also focusing on the job at hand while Sin also doesn't know that Saint has now gone straight, and is undercover.
The story held my interest and kept me turning the pages, It was a good story, it reminded me of a few films I have watched, Entrapment being one starring Catherine Zeta Jones. I liked it, but it lacked the angst, hotness, danger and excitement, I normally like in an action type of book like this but I did enjoy it, it was a steady paced read, .
I am looking forward to the next book in the series and was disappointed that I didn't feel the same connection to the team in this book as with previous books, it lost the Jameson family feel so I will have to get my fix in the next book as things are also happening behind the scenes in the Jameson team too somethings that were happening in the background separate from Sin and Saints story which i'm sure will be revealed in the next book.
CODE NAME HEIST is a good second chance romance with suspense and action. Told in first person dual pov leading to a hea, can be read as a standalone.

Beard Science gave me so many goofy smiles.
I loved this book, the narration was brilliant and I can't wait to read or listen to more books in this series. I love the Winston brothers.
Cletus is a complex man, not many people saw the real Cletus but there is more to Jennifer Sylvester, the town's and world-famous banana cake queen than people see too and she sees Cletus, the real Cletus.
A bit about the plot;
All Jennifer wants to do is settle down with a man, have kids and live the dream. Jennifer runs the bakery and is controlled by her mother who puts her out there on social media as the banana cake queen, Jennifer has millions of followers and her mother expects a certain image and the right sort of man for Jennifer to settle down with and one that won't change her or her image.
When Jennifer is video interviewing the sheriff at the station regarding her cakes she notices Cletus who is there to repair something hiding some evidence and catches it on camera, she then uses this evidence to blackmail him into teaching her how to date and get a man, Jennifer is a sheltered young woman who was even homeschooled by her mother so she hasn't experienced high-school, dates or a boyfriend.
What a build-up, what a perfect match, I loved the journey to how they fell in love with each other, I loved both of these quirky characters, I laughed so many times. Brilliant!
He was the bad boy of rock-n-roll; cocky, short-tempered, and the sexiest man I’d ever seen. I was just a librarian in a small town. He had no clue who I was, but I knew everything about him. After all, he was the reason I moved across the country.
I never thought he’d know my name, let alone whisper it while he held me tight and made me forget about the agony of my past. He was my protector, my reason, my calm before the storm… but nothing good lasts forever, and Gabriel Hunter was no exception.

Brilliant! I absolutely adored Gabe and Cady's story.
Hot rock god falls for shy librarian.
I loved it, Cady's father was also a rock legend before he died, the backstory of Cady is heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. Cady is a young woman who has had more than enough tragedy in her life with no family left following the death of her father she is put into the care of her creepy step-brother. Cady remembers Gabriel from when she lived at home with her father and in an attempt to flee her step-brother he is the first person who comes into her mind when she thinks of a home and safety, she feels a connection to him somehow due to her father once being his mentor and so she moves to the same city.
Cady and Gabes story is one of fate. Gabe is absolutely swoon-worthy with Cady, he falls hard and its definitely love at first sight for him. Gabe knows she is nothing like the groupies he has used for years and treats her with respect and with care * swoons again
Of course, there is added drama and angst and the author did a brilliant job of balancing the whole thing out as well as the occasional scorching hot scenes. I cannot wait for the next book, I could not turn the pages fast enough.
A definite recommended Rock star romance read. Told in first person dual pov and leads to an abrupt hea but I am hoping to see more of these two in the next book. Gabrielle can be read as a standalone but is the 2nd book in a series, there are no spoilers to the previous book.

SOMEDAY, SOMEDAY, a beautiful and bitter-sweet love story
I was attracted by the cover at first, I have read Emma Scott before and love her work and well, I just dove in. Did I know it was MM? did I read the blur properly? NO, and just so you know it isn't my usual genre to read either but I was so moved and so glad I read it.
Silas and Max first meet at an AA meeting and although Silas is sat at the back listening to Max's story of how he ended up an addict, how he was thrown out of his own by his own father for being gay, Silas leaves before anyone can talk to him or introduce themselves to him, hes the dark visiting stranger at the back of the room but even then Max felt drawn to him.
They meet again formerly when Max who is a nurse starts work along with other teams of nurses for Silas's father who runs a multi billion pharmaceutical company.
Silas's Back story and the relationship with his homophobic father is heartbreaking, they both have similar history with their parents and its no surprise that they have an instant connection and a bond like no other.
There is so much content in this book and it truly is a moving story, a story of addiction, heartache, forgiveness, healing, finding real love and I loved the other characters, Silas's brother with Asperger's, Silas's pretend fiance and Max's best friend.
Max and Silas were both victims for being just who they were meant to be and it was a heartbreaking yet beautiful journey to discovery for both of these inspirational characters.
The first time I heard his cheesy pick-up line, he made me laugh. The next night, I fell madly in love. Then he shattered my world without speaking a word, leaving me with an empty heart and a hollow soul.
Still, I tried to fix what was broken, only to be humiliated beyond repair. I couldn’t believe the same man who promised me heaven so ruthlessly put me through hell with lips that once worshipped me.
I thought that was the end of us, but then a life-altering discovery threatened more than just me, and the least likely man to stand at my side was the one who refused to leave it.

SECOND CHANCE ROCK-STAR ROMANCE
Justifying Jamie is my first book by new to me Author Anna Brooks.
A few times during this book I felt I was missing something especially when there was references to other characters which after a bit of digging I discovered Liam who is Jamie's brother and his sister in law are in a previous book by this author but with this being the start of a new series I was left a little confused so I discovered their story is in PROVE ME RIGHT, which is the series IT'S KIND OF PERSONAL #3 so obviously this is a crossover series which is not mentioned in the blurb. It did leave me curious as to what had happened in their story though and I probably will also read that but I don't like going backwards hence starting what I thought was a new series.
This is Jamie and Mercy who meet one night in a bar, they have a one night stand together and the chemistry is off the charts. Mercy has to leave is a hurry following an incident with her mother and through a misunderstanding and a mix up with phone numbers they don't see each other again for three years all the while each of them never forgetting the other.
Jamie is a Rock-star touring, having the high life and plenty of groupies where Mercy is a nurse and under pressure to settle down by her pushy mother.
It was an interesting story, I got annoyed with the characters, frustrated with their actions so there was angst and some drama's but it does eventually lead to a hea.
In summary I would definitely read more in this series and maybe start by reading some of the books previously released too, I did find the authors writing easy to follow and found it also had just the right amount of drama and hotness to keep you turning the pages.
I’m not settled. Something is off that I can’t pinpoint. My mom’s health is declining and I’m the worst son imaginable. Life has kicked me more times than I care to admit. Then I met her. She was a smart mouth that sparked my interest. I made it my mission to know more about her. Until she left me.
I was running from everything that happened to me. I wanted a new life. I thought I found it. Keeping my ex at bay was easy with enough money. He left me alone and that worked for me. Until he didn’t. I got myself mixed up with a man that I shouldn’t have. Neo was different and for a minute I thought I could fall for someone like him. Then I learned who he was. And everything changed.
I haven't read all the books in this series but I found myself wanting to know more about the other characters so I may just delve into those books too.
I liked it, I loved the sass in Leesa, she was a woman with backbone and I really enjoyed how Leesa and Neo first met, like a chance meeting, Leesa was pouring rubbish in the dumpster of the club were she worked and Neo was leaving the MC club next door, Lisa gives him grief for stalking her when Neo is only trying to help. It had humour and brought lightness to the read.
As the story progressed I enjoyed it until I didn't and lost respect for Leesa.
When Leesa's past catches up with her putting Neo's elderly mother with Alzheimer's in danger she goes on the run disappearing leaving Neo behind. What I didn't like was Leesa starting work in a sex club having sex with other men and Neo quickly moving on from his heartbreak with club girls, this is after a previous declaration of love? and I just couldn't get me head around it. Take this part of the story out and I would have been content with it but I just ended up annoyed and unhappy with the characters and then didn't care if they found each other again or not but for sure they deserved each other.
You ready for Neo?
“You fucking piece of trash!” She sounds frustrated and it makes me chuckle a little. I pull my cigarette out and light one up as I head in the direction. The clubs are all closing down for the night so I assume she works at the one next to us. “Eww! Don’t fucking touch me!”
I round the corner into the alley and see the girl in question wrestling a garbage bag that’s bigger than she is. I can’t help but laugh. The sound must catch her by surprise because her and that trash bag both fall to the ground. I laugh harder when all I see are her feet sticking out from under the black monstrosity. Strolling over with my cigarette between my lips, I grab the bag and toss it into the dumpster before looking down at her. She looks up at me with narrowed eyes and little pieces of trash sticking to her skin. I hold my hand out and offer her help when she moves on her own. Shoving off the ground, she stands and glares up at me.
“You were just going to stand there and laugh, huh?” she asks crossing her arms over her chest. I retract my hand and pull the cigarette from between my lips, blowing smoke into the air.
“Why are you out here fightin’ a bag that’s bigger than you are?”
“Um, it’s my job?”
“Then you got a shitty boss,” I tell her before turning and walking back out of the alley. I can hear her shoes slapping against the pavement as she follows behind me.
“You should tell him that!” she hollers from behind me. I glance over my shoulder back at her.
“Tell who what?”
“My boss that he sucks. You should tell him that. He needs to know,” she adds with a slight smirk on her face.
I turn to fully face her now wondering what the hell she’s trying to do. I cock my head to the side and study her face. She has the prettiest green eyes that I’ve ever seen and long brown hair. She’s small for being an adult, if she’s even one.
“And why would I do that? ‘Cause you were out here fightin’ a bag?” She shrugs her shoulder and I shake my head turning to walk away.
“Chicken shit,” she says as I walk. I huff out a breath and turn around moving toward her quickly. In seconds I’ve got my hand wrapped around her wrist, dragging her toward the door. She squeals as I pull her in the back door and down the hallway.
“That was a joke, you know!”
I ignore her and continue down the hallway when a man steps out of an office. He looks from me to the girl I’m currently holding onto and back.
“What the hell is this?”
“You her boss?” I ask.
“I think he’s one of those mental hospital escapees I saw on the news,” the girl chimes in as she tries to pull her arm free from my grasp. I almost laugh again.
“What did she do?”
“What the hell? I didn’t do shit, Scot!” she squeals in return.
“Shut up, Leesa. I wasn’t asking you. What did she do?”

Cocky football players, school rivalry, and the girls who get in their way... the Raiders are back for one final play!
Mya Hernandez has scars.
The kind that run deep and leave marks.
Rixon is only supposed to be a temporary place to hide, but it's quickly becoming something more.
She's almost certain it has nothing to do with the blond-haired, blue-eyed football player who makes her laugh. Who makes her believe in fairy tales again.
Even if she knows her life is destined to be nothing more than a tragedy.
Asher Bennet has secrets.
Not the scandalous kind, but the ones that fester, slowly eating away at your soul.
In the face of it, he's Mr Popular, always down for a party and causing a little mayhem.
But on the inside, he just wants someone to see him. Really see him. Too bad the one girl who sees past his facade has already friend-zoned him.
It's probably for the best though.
She's everything he wants but can never have.
Until Mya's past and Asher's present collide in ways neither of them saw coming.
And suddenly the thing you need most is the very thing you’re supposed to hate.
Another brilliant addition to the series
I loved these characters. Asher was always a character I wanted to know more about, he was the easy going of the group, the joker, the sidekick, the negotiator, the listener but beneath the surface he is a young man with his own secret worries as we discover and I really enjoyed his story.
Mya is a girl from the hood who moved to Rixon to live with her aunt following a breakup with her childhood friend and boyfriend who was getting heavily involved in gangs. Mya moved away for her safety, for her sanity and most of all for a better future.
Mya Hernandez isn't like other girls in town, not only is she not the typical white girl and hasn't a clue about this football crazed town when she first arrived, she's a young woman with backbone, sass and she becomes friends with and is taken under the wings of Hailee and Felicity who all quickly become good friends.
When Hailee and Cameron, Jason and Felicity fall in love both Mya and Asher become the fifth wheels and have no choice but to spend time with one-another.
Asher comes from a family with money and despite the disapproval from his father he begins to fall hard for Mya and when Asher starts to chase Mya for more than just friendship there's a lot of push and pull, Mya feels she won't fit in Asher's world and its up-to Asher to convince her otherwise.
Just like previous books there is a perfect balance of drama, angst and twists and turns. THE HARDER YOU FALL can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend starting this series from the beginning and experiencing the dynamics of these characters friendships and also the awesome stories of how the other characters also fall in love.
The Harder You Fall was completely worth the wait, I love this authors ability to hook you from the very first pages. A definite recommended angsty series for any High school YA/crossover book lovers.

INTENSE, GRIPPING, HOT!!
PLAY ALONG by T L Swan is full of angst, danger, twists and turns I was completely hooked, mesmerised and I loved the audio version of this book, the Narrators really brought the characters to life and made some of the scenes more intense.
Roshina has a sneaky suspicion that her best friend and her boyfriend of a few years are doing the dirty on her and when they both tell her they are away for the night, her boyfriend with work and her best friend with something else, she knows they are both sneaking away together for a night and she does what any suspicious woman would do, follows them to see her herself. Roshina discovers them both in a nightclub grinding on each other and after a confrontation rushes out back of the club and witnesses a murder.
Roshina is a witness, she is kidnapped, talk about going from one bad situation from another but this is only the beginning of Roshina's nightmare when she finds her self on a container ship full of randy hungry men and criminals.
It isn't nice reading about rape or attempted rape so the beginning of this book is a bit gruesome although Mac did come to her rescue and claim her for himself and to survive her time on the ship for weeks they had to play along and let the others believe they were together.
Mac is the men in charge of the ships cargo, he holds power on board but he has his own hidden agenda's for being there and in the process of his mission he becomes close to Rochelle, the woman he kidnapped to ultimately save. They both end up saving each other down the line and in the process find love
The plan was for Rochelle to leave as soon as they docked but things don't exactly go to plan in this book full of surprising twists and turns.
An unconventional love story, filled with suspense, thrills, and a roller coaster journey to a hea. Told in first person dual pov. I enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone who likes something with a bit more on the edgy and on the dangerous side.
How do you deal with a life you don’t want and a future you’re terrified of?
That’s what I’ve planned to do for years; run from this narrow world I was born into. Run from the friends I love, but who bind me to the roots I want to leave behind.
Run, towards the anonymity I so desperately crave, to a place where no one knows who I am; where no one cares who my family are.
But something happened that changed all of my plans. My best friend, my sister, fell off her pedestal and hit the ground with a crash.
Now I realise I’m not as ready as I thought I was to run from this life and these people.
Maybe I need the roots that I thought were holding me back, that were actually just stopping me from floating away.
I’m a Scion, one of the elite. I was born into this life, but I crave more.
Everything that’s happened in the last year has shown me that I need my roots, but I want to spread my wings too.
College, boys, adulthood, it’s all calling my name and it’s time to figure out who I am.
My name is Emmy Devereaux and I’m so much more than just the daughter of the president of The Doomsday Sinners MC.
My favorite book to date by this author
I am loving this spin-off series from Archers Creek, I love MC romance but following the next generation has also been brilliant.
Wings & Roots ticked all my boxes. I love a childhood to adult romance, I love a protective male character and I absolutely adore a coming of age best friends to lovers story.
The Scions as they were known in their High school, children of the Doomsday sinners are ready to fly the nest and move to college, they make a decision to all move to the same college together. These are five characters that have a close bond with each other but none of them are as close to each other as Griff and Emmy who have had a special bond since the age of 8.
I loved the slow-burn in this story although the romantic in me got frustrated and I wanted Griff and Emmy to get together sooner but these were two best friends who were afraid to act on their feelings, Emmy brushed her feelings aside and was excited at the prospect of a new life away from home where no one knew who she was or who her family was, while Griff was reaching the point of boiling especially when Emmy was starting to get interest from the Male students from college, back in their hometown no one dared to approach the daughter of the MC president but college away from home was a whole new ball game and Griff had to make a decision to either confess his love or lose her to someone else.
I didn't want it to end, I was totally engrossed in this story which was brilliantly balanced by the author with just the right amount of angst and interest in the plot to keep me turning the pages.
I cannot wait for more from Gemma Weir, I will be eagerly awaiting her next book.
Wings and Roots is about self-discovery, accepting your roots and in the process, learning to fly. Beautiful!
Told in first person dual pov. Can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend experiencing the dynamics of the close friendships these characters have with one another and their background so I would suggest starting with book one in this series
Manhattan is a stand-alone, small town, country romance in the Becker Brothers Series.
Everyone knows not to fall in love with your best friend.
But when your best friend is Michael Becker, it’s impossible not to.
He’s everything our town knows a Becker brother to be: devastatingly handsome, charming as a thief, and the icing on the cake — a sentimental musician who’s never without his guitar.
And he was mine. At least, that’s what I’d convinced myself.
Our bond was born in elementary school, strengthened by circumstance and the promise to always be there for each other, no matter what. And the best thing about my life was being friends with Michael Becker.
Until it was the worst.
I watched him fall in love with someone else, and helped patch him back up when she left him behind. But when he drops the bomb that he’s moving to New York, I realize it’s my last chance to tell him how I feel. And I ask him to make one more promise.
One summer. One list of adventures to remind him that our small town has more to offer than memories of the girl who left him behind.
One last chance to tell him I’m in love with him.
And I’m just dumb enough to believe that maybe he could love me, too.

A beautiful story of unrequited love, friendship, a friends to lovers story filled with heartwarming and moving moments.
I haven't read the previous books in this series and didn't need to, Manhattan is a standalone but does interlink with other books, there is also a theme running through this book where Mikey Becker and his brothers are still trying to discover how their father died and Kylie helps them crack the code on a laptop of their fathers but you still don't get the answer to what the oldest brother finds, this I presume is in the next book and I would love to not only read previous books but the next one too.
Kandi Steiner's writing is easy to read, has ups and downs, contains beautiful and interesting characters, for a Small town romance this is a must-read.
Mikey Becker and Kylie Nelson have been best friends since they were eight years old, Kylie has been there for him as he has her. Kylie had just lost her mother and Mikey lost his father when they first met. Kylie through the years has been his constant, secretly falling in love with him until he fell for a girl that wasn't her and then she was there two years later to pick up the pieces when his girlfriend left town for the highlights as a singer leaving him behind broken-hearted.
Mikey and Kylie's story is heartbreaking, heartwarming and beautiful. I loved it and would highly recommend this as a book you can get lost in, a book you can curl up with on a cold winters day, or any day for that matter and enjoy the journey with these characters, through their ups and downs that leads to an adorable hea.
From USA Today Bestselling Author Aly Martinez comes an all new standalone.
Growing up, Ramsey Stewart branded my soul in ways time could never heal.

Move on, he wrote in his first and only letter from prison.

I don’t love you anymore, he lied.

"Sometimes you have to let go of the life you planned in order to live the one you're given".
What an absolutely beautiful, heartbreaking and heartwarming story.
RELEASE is so original, I was captivated by Thea and Ramsey's journey.
Twelve years, eight months, three weeks, four days and thirty-seven minutes. That was how long he'd been gone.
It all started when eleven year old Ramsey and his younger sister Nora moved in just doors down from Thea after being evicted from their home. On the day Thea met Ramsey both of them were instantly connected by grief, they became one half of a whole even if they didn't realise the significance of their meeting at the time and the events that would follow.
Thea and I were two of a kind. Lost, broken. Forgotten. Stuck.
RELEASE goes from past to present, from the childhood years to teenage years and what lead up-to the event of Ramsey being behind bars in the present, the day he is released.
History repeats itself when Ramsey keeps pushing Thea away like she did to him all those years ago as a girl when she was angry and filled with grief over the death of her mother but Thea remembers how Ramsey's persistence and kindness won her over and her determination to make her hers again doesn't let her give up on him.
He was my first boyfriend. My first kiss. My first love. He was my first everything.
Thea is in love with the only boy now a man she has ever and will ever love and she has been counting down the days to his release from prison even though he would not contact her or write back to any of his letters except one that said "MOVE ON"
It was beautiful, heartbreaking, the twists and turns surprising. Two halves of one whole, the way it was always supposed to be.
Release is coming of age, full length romance, standalone novel by Aly Martinez. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.' and if you want to start your 2020 reading off on a high, I would highly recommend you start with this moving, captivating and emotional story, beautifully written by Aly Martinez.
There's a myth that floats around in my city.
They say the president of the local biker gang is ruthless, heartless, and that once you cross him, you'll spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder.
There are whispers that he was once lost in a forest, and when he was found, he was surrounded by a pack of wolves that were protecting him.
Many will tell you he'd never let his guard down for a woman, and that if he ever did, it would be bad for her.
The one thing this city doesn't know about me is that I'm not your average woman. I'm a fighter, and when someone messes with my family, I will fight, and when my freedom is stolen, I will do whatever it takes to get it back.
When I'm done with him, the rumors will come to an end because I'll be the woman who tamed this infamous biker president.
I'll be the woman who, in the end, was bad for him.

Dark, edgy, gritty and all kinds of MC goodness
I loved this book! I couldn't decide if I liked Wolf or hated him, he's definitely the bad guy in this story at first but he eventually won me over. Wolf is one of those characters as Nova finds out who let's very view people see his vulnerable side and I loved the angsty journey between them
Nova is a strong independent woman and definitely a woman with backbone so when she finds her younger brother is in trouble with the local MC and they want to take his life she offers herself up to go with them herself, giving up her freedom and the independence she has had from a young age.
Bad for me is a slow-burn romance filled with twists, turns, danger and angst and most of all does eventually lead to a hea.
My first read by this author and I will definitely read more.
Bad for me is told in first person, leads to a hea and is available in KU

Leandro Silva is all kinds of sexy
I loved this forbidden romance between leandro and his therapist.
REVIVED is one of those stories where you know where it's going to go but the angst and trepidation leading up-to that hea is heartwarming and satisfying and gives you those gooey feelings.
About the plot;
Following leandro's accident he is struggling with getting back into a car, any car not just his racing car. leandro is friends with Carrick and Andi from the previous book so this book is interlinked but can be read as a standalone. Andi advises Leandro to see her own therapist India Harris who has also Andi get over her own fears and have even become friends.
When Leandro and India meet there is Instant attraction between them and the more time they spend with each other during their therapy sessions the chemistry intensifies but India Harris hasn't exactly had an easy life her background is sad and she has worked hard to get where she is today and doesn't want to risk her practicing license by getting involved with a patient and so she shuts down any thoughts of more with Leandro and after a kiss they share refuses to be his therapist anymore.
Months later and the two meet again, the chemistry is still there, the lust and longing still tangible between them making these two inevitable.
I loved this slow-burn romance and the hotness when they were finally together was off the charts! I still have my favorites by this author but if your looking for a hot read with a sexy race car driver this is definitely a one click!
I listened to this in audio and the narration was refreshing, hearing an English Manchester accent and the sexy accent from Leandro was good too, making the characters come to life.
There are twists and turns, a great buildup to the hea and likable characters, REVIVED is an all round read that hit all the right spots
Dallas Van Zant…
Water polo god.
Beautiful disaster in the most literal sense of that label.
Trust me, it’s not hyperbole. He’s in big trouble with the law.
What does this have to do with me, you ask? Unfortunately, a lot. For some reason, which I still can’t quite wrap my brain around, I’ve been talked into driving him around as part of his plea deal.
Problem is, he makes me nervous. I’m not good with people, men in particular, popular athletes especially. I’ve worked really hard to get my disability under control and one minute in his company and all my hard work flies out the window.
To top it all off, I promised myself that I was going to make some serious changes this year. I’m tired of feeling awkward around boys. I’m tired of never having had a boyfriend. I’m tired of being lonely. And he’s wrecking my plans.
But I’m also not the type to turn away a person in need. So I’ll do what I must to help him out.
I’ll just pretend that I’m not enjoying his company. And I’ll ignore the fact that he’s sweet and funny. And I’ll tell myself every day that he’s out of my league.
Because I’m as inexperienced as they come. And Dallas Van Zant is nothing but wild.

A friends to lovers story.
I have read books by this author before Bulldozer and Heartbreaker, Nothing but wild is nothing like those, it contained very little angst, it's sweet, its heartwarming and contains a swoon-worthy hea, it had all the feels of a college romance with younger characters, a Y/A N/A crossover.
Dallas and Dora are opposites, Dora is a sweet girl with a stammer, she volunteers at an animal shelter while Dallas is a popular guy, a party goer and they are from completely different backgrounds but they worked. Their slow build from friendship to romance was heartwarming.
I haven't read previous books in this Malibu University series but having read reviews, I suggest doing so before this story and understanding the dynamic of this friendship group with Dallas and other characters because I couldn't really bond with Dallas at all and I think that would have come from reading previous books and wanting to know more about him, I didn't find him interesting enough and I do prefer more angst in my books too which I found very little of in NOTHING BUT WILD to keep me eagerly turning the pages.
In summary; a heartwarming young adult, friends to lovers story
A memorable night of passion refuses to stay just a memory in this sizzling and scandalous romance from bestselling author T L Swan.
I was upgraded to first class on a flight from London to New York.
The food, champagne, and service were impeccable.
The blue-eyed man sitting next to me, even better.
He was suave and intelligent.
We talked and laughed, and something clicked.
Fate took over and the plane was grounded, and we had an unexpected stopover for the night.
With no plans, we made our own.
We danced and laughed our way around Boston and had a night of crazy passion that no woman would ever forget.
That was twelve months ago, and I haven’t heard from him—until today.
I started a new job and met the CEO. You can imagine my surprise to see those naughty blue eyes dance with delight when he saw me across the mahogany desk.
But I’m not that carefree girl anymore. My life has changed, I have responsibilities.
I just got an email.
He wants to see me in his office for a private meeting at 8:00 a.m.
Naughty blue eyes have no place in the workplace.
What kind of private meeting does he have in mind?
Hot in all the right places with a great plot. I loved THE STOPS OVER, I listened to this in audio and found the narration great, really bringing the characters to life and the hotness, off the charts!!
Jameson Miles is basically married to his company, he's a CEO and runs the company with his 5 brothers, let me tell you this prospect has me all kinds of excited and I cannot wait to read more about these hot Miles men.
When Jameson and Emily meet its on a plane, they sit together, chat together and have growing sizzling chemistry the more time they spend with one-another which leads to a whole hot night together on a layover.
Neither exchange numbers and neither expect to see each other again BUT they do when Emily starts her new job at Miles media as a reporter.
Emily is still sort of in a relationship with a guy who is nothing short of a deadbeat feeling sorry for himself after his football career ended following an injury and he also removed states to join Emily.
When Jameson and Emily re-connect during her induction building tour it's quite the surprise for both of them.
Jameson is hot and cold, turns into some sort of stalker watching Emily on CCTV but the guy just does not know how to have a relationship and be the CEO.
Yes you will probably get whiplash, you will also get annoyed and frustrated with the characters and if I had read this on my kindle I can tell you without a doubt I would have been flipping the pages like a mad woman for the end result to see how this couple who are undoubtedly made for each other make it work, instead I listened to Sebastian York's chocolate tones that made MR Miles very hot indeed and very bearable considering his behavior and frustrating indecision.
I want more from these Miles men, I'm not normally someone who likes office romance or CEO's but I loved this.
Since moving to beautiful Cedar Tree, Colorado, Emma Young, mother of one adult daughter, has worked from home doing some online bookkeeping and baking for her best friend's diner to supplement her disability pension. Life has been pretty good, that is until she received a strange phone call that starts an alarming chain of events.
Investigator Gus Flemming is hot on the trail of a bail skip with organized crime connections that bring him to Cedar Tree. Once there, the focus of his investigation lands squarely on the gently rounded shoulders of a vivacious red haired Emma, whose physical limitations have done nothing to dampen her zest for life.
When it becomes clear that Emma is at risk, Gus does't hesitate to step in and protect her. Call it a job with some very hot benefits......
SLIM TO NONE was a really good book for a freebie and I'm glad I took a chance on this new to me author.
The main characters are in their late forties, I loved this and there aren't enough of these types of books. Emma bakes cakes for her local diner and also does book keeping online, when she gets a visit from Gus investigating a case and trying to track down some criminal activity that has lead him to Emma who is all part of the puzzle her world is turned upside down.
I liked Emma she is a strong independent woman with a disability who has started her new life in this small town following her divorce but I suppose things happen for a reason because the moment Emma and Gus meet their is sizzling hot chemistry.
Gus was especially hot, bossy, sexy and all kinds of in control, I loved his character as the hero. Gus comes to Emma's rescue more than once when she is in danger from a dangerous criminal who wants all her files and any evidence of their connection and accounts wiped away and is also willing to wipe Emma away in the process.
Slim to None is a good detective type of plot, full of hotness, twists and turns, contains likeable and interesting characters and I also found myself intrigued by secondary characters too, so I would definitely read more in this series.
I listened to this book in audio and it was difficult to tell at times with so much dialogue but it did sound like third person pov which I don't like in a book to read, so I would have to read a sample first or listen to another in audio.
The only thing that annoyed me was the characters many references to being old, feeling old *cough *cough woman in her forties here and I don't feel old? I even checked to see if the author was young due to these references pretty much painting someone n their forties as being close to death in your late forties but she isn't, which left me confused.
This book is free and I highly recommend one clicking and downloading the audio book.
