"I can't wait to make you my own brand of Whiskey"
I liked Charlie's Whiskey an insta love romance in an MC setting with a Knight to the rescue in leather.
Charlie is escaping a DV relationship and Whiskey is starting a new life and moving from his MC back to his hometown.
Charlie has insecurities, understandable for what she has been through and Whiskey has all the right words and moves to bring her healing. Both Charlie and Whiskey quickly bond as they share pasts and pains together.
It's a heartwarming story filled with angst along the way when Charlie's ex just doesn't seem to take the hint and goes to the extremes of stalking and threats.
I struggled with Charlie's character she was confusing, odd with her thoughts that were just to unrealistic for me and the things she did in some scenes I couldn't grasp, it was just to out there, I also found a few things a little repetitive, Charlie was a ball buster of a woman with backbone one minute and a victim the next.
I'm a huge fan of MC books in all the different forms they come in, dark, edgy to down right dangerous and ones that are romantic within an MC setting, this was romance in an MC setting and there is no major focus being on the MC which is great that's not a negative it means the main focus is on the characters.
I did find I lost interest at some points maybe it was due to Charlie being too wishy washy and not being able to bond with her character but overall the bones of the plot is good and it had potential to be great if the balance was right. I can also see potential with other characters in future books and with this being a debut novel It was good.
Overall a good romance, I loved Whiskey's character, I like a woman with backbone and a good plot and Charlie's Whiskey had all three.

Whiskey Williams is a patched member of the Chosen Legion motorcycle club. He finds himself running from a dark and dirty past, looking for a new start. He relies on his brothers from the mother charter to help him. Once he arrives in Rudy, he sees Charlie and knows something has to be done to help her. However, seeing as she is fresh out of her abusive relationship, she wants nothing to do with men.
Will the attraction between the two be enough to make Charlie give the troubled biker a chance? Or will he strike out?
The game of love is not as easy as three up, three down.
