![]() BLURB I shouldn’t have remembered him. He was just a guy who walked through a restaurant. I didn't know his name. We never made eye contact. There was no connection between us at all. But I could feel him. The tingle down my spine. The command in his presence. The snap of tension in the air around him. That was the first time I saw him, and I was captivated. The second time was different. He was in the mysterious back elevator of my apartment building. Our eyes met for a fleeting second before the doors closed, and I was staggered. My breath was robbed. My senses on high alert. My body hummed. That was just the beginning. He was the leader of the mafia. I was about to fall in love with him, and his name… Cole Mauricio ![]() REVIEW Damn, I didn't' want it to end. As mafia Romances go this definitely ticked all the right box's. Every time I read a Tijan book I am captivated from start to finish and Cole was no different, it's a whirlwind of a read starting off slowly pulling you into the action and drama. Addy: That voice, those words spoken so softly, they reached inside me and wrapped around my heart. I felt him. he had power over me and none of this made sense. he branded me, claiming me. Addison is still grieving, a year on from her husbands death it takes the persuasion of her friend to move into the elusive building they have both admired for over two years, the place was a mystery the apartments never came empty until suddenly there was an opening and Sia persuaded Addy to view. Determined to finally move on with her life Addy made the move. The whole building was a mystery, the intense security, no-one new who the owner was, I was loving the start of the plot as I got to know the characters and I just knew something good was coming the deeper I got into the plot. Cole's remained just Cole to Addy when they first started dating, she wasn't allowed to ask questions about who he really was or what he did and she excepted it, the chemistry to electrifying, the pull to strong, Addy just went along with Cole and his mysterious identity and it was only around 60% into the plot Cole's real identity is revealed, this is when it goes from Addy's point of Dual to dual pov's. I don't want to add spoilers and I could certainly go on and on about Cole it was brilliantly written I was completely immersed in the plot and I loved it all the way to the hea. I love it when you can finish a book and say to yourself, Damn that was good! "I'm going to help you become Addison once more. just you. Just me. No one else" And then, as his mouth touched mine, gently, tenderly, he did as he's promised. There's no unnecessary violence in Cole the whole plot focus's solely on the characters and events surrounding them but it was fan me down hot with twists and turns along the way. Recommended read.
