![]() Greyson East left his mark on me. As the young girl who first fell for him, I didn’t know much about life. I did know about his smiles, though, and his laughs, and the strange way my stomach flipped when he was near. Life was perfect…until it wasn’t, and when we were forced to go our separate ways, I held on to our memories, let go of my first crush, and wished for the day I’d find him again. When my wish came true, it was nothing like I imagined. I couldn’t have known when I took the nanny position that it would be his children I looked after, that my new boss would be that boy I used to know, that boy who was now a man—a cold, lonely, detached man. The smile and laugh I had loved so much were gone, now distant memories. Every part of him was covered in a fresh pain. When he realized who I was, he made me promise to do my job and my job only. He made me promise not to try to get to know him, not to recall the memories I’d treasured all this time. But, sometimes, I saw the boy I’d once known in his stormy eyes. I saw the Greyson who smiled and laughed, who had stolen a young girl’s heart, and there was no doubt in my mind that this boy was worth fighting for. I was given a second chance with the one who’d left his mark on me. All I hoped was that somehow I’d leave a mark on his soul, too. **Eleanor & Grey is a complete Standalone novel* Download your copy today or read FREE in Kindle Unlimited! This beautiful story and friendship begins with a teenage Eleanor and Greyson. Eleanor is a shy introvert character who loves Harry Potter, her books and dragonflies, she's a cardigan-wearing young girl with braces and is subject to mean and cruel words from other kids but she doesn't let it bother her, Eleanor beneath her quiet exterior is a strong young woman. Greyson is one of the popular guys in school, he's good looking, rich and in the sports team so by default he is popular although he doesn't want to be. Grey and Ellie first meet at a house party when Ellie is just sat in a corner wearing headphones and reading her book after being persuaded to go along by her parents and cousin who just want her to get out more, experience things that teenagers experience. Following a conversation between Greyson and Eleanor a fascinating friendship develops between Ellie and Grey which comes at a time in their lives when their friendship is special and needed especially for Ellie who discovers her mother has cancer. "Grey" "Yes?" "Would it be alright if I kept you forever?" The book is in two parts the first part is Eleanor and Greyson's special friendship and then in the second half the older version of Eleanor and Greyson were 16 years had passed after losing touch. Both parts of this book are heartbreaking, heartwarming and bittersweet. I was so caught up in the teenage love story in the first half I resented Grey's older self of 16 years and the fact that he had lost touch with Ellie, married and had kids, I just thought how dare he after being such a sweet and romantic boy just how dare he, I had such high hopes for a teen to adult love story that swept me away but all was not lost, this is a beautiful romance that doesn't quite go how I expected it to go but brilliant all the same. Nobody quite tells a story or takes you on a journey like Brittainy C. Cherry and this book will stick with me for some time just like other books before written by this author. "She was she, I was me, and we were us. This was our story" Seriously, you need to lock yourself away and absorb this story, I completely recommend it. Told in first person dual pov. Leads to a hea.
