MacKenzie Decker was a question Avery never got to ask, much less answer.
They met when she was a young reporter fueled by ambition, and the ink on Deck's first NBA contract was barely dry. Years later, they've climbed so high and lost so much, but one thing hasn't changed. The attraction that simmered between them in a locker room before is still there. With success like theirs, everything has been possible . . . except them.
That was then . . . but what about now?

A brilliant Christmas novella!
A story of a Basket ball star and a reporter. Deck and Avery are great characters.
Deck does come across as the cocky player at first, he's the type of guy who makes you swoon with his sexy smirk. When Deck first meets Avery he is instantly attracted to her and asks her out on a date but she is doing her job trying to get an interview and shoots him down even though his towel slips and he bares all in the changing room.
Years later the two are reunited, a failed marriage for Deck, a heartbreaking story for Avery, these two have really gone through it since they last saw each other all those years ago but what's still the same is the spark they have between them just like when they met all those years ago.
Hoops holiday was previously a novella in The Team Player anthology with added content and a Christmas theme.
A story of second chances, healing, and new beginnings. Told in dual pov's and leads to a well-deserved hea.
I would definitely read more books by this author in this series I loved it! and Kennedy's writing had hotness in the right places, great characters and it was a great story for the holidays. A novella that felt like a complete novel.
