![]() Part two in the Gods and Monsters Series. In the land of gods and monsters, she was set free. Left, lost, forgotten. Cast out of the only world she remembers, Pet now answers to a new name—victim. Ares walked away without a backward glance and left her desperate for safety, desire, and the freedom she found in his cruel touch. But in the end, Pet discovers nothing is ever free. * In the Land of Gods and Monsters, Part Two, may contain triggers for some readers. ![]() I'm a bit lost for words. Firstly this book cannot be read as a standalone and book one must be read first. I don't even know where to start with my review, normally the thoughts flow. I enjoy reading books that are dark, I love angst, darkness, and danger in my romance reads but this was, I don't really know. I felt like I was watching a car crash, so many times, I squirmed at the scenes, the actions of Camille aka Pet once she was free, feeling lost without her master and craving sex, going to a sex club, yearning for her master and what she had been trained to crave since she was kidnapped, sex, pain, torture. Just like the first book It's intense, dark, contains disturbing scenes but for some reason, I can't help wanting to know what happens next. This book has me craving a fluffy romance and ice cream to bring me back to normality and I don't even read fluffy romances or like ice cream. If you enjoy dark, gritty and intense with disturbing scenes then book one is waiting. Arc received for review purposes
