![]() Dirty cocktails, deadly enemies with a red-hot attraction, and one big, crazy, Greek family--what could possibly go wrong? Hiring my brother's best friend was not on my to-do list. Neither was he. Expanding my dirty cocktail bar into food was supposed to be easy, except finding a chef in my little town of Whiskey Key is anything but. Until Parker Hamilton comes home--bringing his Michelin starred chef's hat with him. He has no work. I need someone like him in my new kitchen. There's just one problem: I hate his cocky, filthy-mouthed, sexy-as-hell guts. Even if I might want him. Just a little... Working for my best friend's sister? Not on my to-do list. She's another story. Whiskey Key was supposed to be a relaxing vacation, except I haven't reached the heights I have by lying in a hammock drinking cocktails. So when Raven Archer is desperate for a chef, I offer up my skills. I'm bored. She needs what I can give her. Except there's a problem: I've always hated her. Her and her big, blue eyes, sassy mouth, and killer curves. If only I didn't want her. Mixed Up is a standalone, enemies-to-lovers romance. It's red-hot and hilarious, so grab a glass and get comfy! ![]() REVIEW This isn't a fr-enemies to lovers story, this really is an enemy to lovers story, no friends about it. Parker Hamilton is hot with a capital H and Raven Archer hated the ground he walked on. Best friends with Raven's brother Ryan and a part of the family for over 20 years, not only is Parker someone Raven can't ignore but they have had an ongoing hate relationship for just as long that neither can explain. Raven: Parker Hamilton entered the building and commanded the attention of everything with a set of ovaries in the immediate area. he was more annoying than stepping on a lego. Stubbing my toe pales in comparison to the frustration of being around him on a regular basis... Being away for a couple of years and earning Michelin stars Parker "hot chef" returns to his home town. Raven is in need of a chef to work in her bar and with her huge Greek family descending on her shortly expecting to be served food in her expanding business and after failed attempts at hiring someone, Raven has no choice but to go against the feeling of wanting to boil her head and ask Parker to help . I like seeing all the romance ingredients being put into the pan and watching it sizzle but with Mixed up its more like sticking the ingredients into the slow cooker and waiting for the heat to come, Mixed Up is a slow burn romance but when it gets hot, it's HOT!. If your expecting flirty innuendos and batting eyelashes that's definitely not Raven, Raven is as Sarcastic and witty as they come, filled with attitude, I loved her character, Parker has had years of practice with the hard headed, hot, sarcastic sassiness of Raven and gives as good as he gets. I laughed out loud so many times with the witty comebacks and awkward family moments once Raven's crazy Karras Family reunion descended. Mixed up is a brilliant combination of hate, love, humour,Witt and sarcasm like a lethal cocktail but so well put together it becomes a perfect recipe for a hate to lovers story. Recommended Rom-Com told in dual pov's Arc gratefully received for review purposes. ![]() EXCERPT “I have to say that you excel at talking.” Parker spoke after several silent, awkward minutes. “I agree with everything you’ve said.” My gaze flicked to him, and I glared. “I know asshole is your default mode, but there’s no need to throw yourself into it so enthusiastically.” His quiet chuckle danced across my skin. “I know, but I want you to start talking before you bore me to death.” “I’ll kill you myself if I have to.” “There’s the Raven I know so well.” “You’re such a monumental cockend.” “That’s the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me. Except when you moaned my name, of course.” I bristled. “I did not moan such a thing.” He quirked an eyebrow. “I heard you loud and clear, hotshot. It was practically a fucking prayer.” “Then I need to get to church and pray for my soul.” “I’ll join you. Your soul needs more than one prayer.” US ➜ http://amzn.to/2j5KgZP UK ➜ http://amzn.to/2ji6ICr AU ➜ http://amzn.to/2ji2avX CA ➜ http://amzn.to/2jJo61G B&N ➜ http://bit.ly/2jJuYfc iBooks ➜ http://apple.co/2j2379t Sign up for an alert when the book is live ➜ http://bit.ly/EmmaAlerts http://www.emmahart.org/mixedup
