From the USA Today Bestselling duo that brought you theCheckmate Duet Series —Brooke Cumberland and Lyra Parish—comes a brand new addictive STANDALONE series!
Never trust a man who answers the front door wearing nothing more than a pair of low-cut jeans and a panty-melting smirk.
That should’ve been my first sign.
I write about guys just like him for a living—sexy and charming, yet reluctant to get into a serious relationship. His body screams sex appeal, but his condescending personality makes him a classic fuckboy.
And I want nothing to do with that.
Writing romance novels comes with its perks—traveling, meeting new people, creating characters from the voices in my head—but Ethan Rochester enters my life and rearranges all my preconceived notions about writing what inspires you.
One week is all it took. One week to realize that not everything is as it seems.
One week with the bad boy, and I wanted more.
**This is a complete STANDALONE novel—filled with plenty of humor, steam, & romance!**
18 & up only due to explicit sexual content, language, and adult content.
A GOOD, FEEL GOOD READ
My Week with the bad boy starts off with Vada renting a cottage for the week and it's owned by the neighbour who is Ethan.
Vada's week of quiet and plans to finish her novel turns into a hot steamy week with the guy next door.
I didn't feel Ethan was a bad boy at all, he has a filthy mouth and has tattoos but he is far from bad I would say more sexy and mysterious.
Good back story's for both characters well Ethan anyway vety little is said about Vada to give you a wider picture of whp she is theres mentions of her upbringing but it doesrnt go into detail.
Vada is pretty much a loner and writes her books where the hottie Ethan is a Potter something he took up after losing his wife and child.
As a reader and interacting with authors everyday I don't normally like books with authors in it as a profession because it takes away the fiction element but it wasn't mentioned to many times so it didn't distract me from the romance element in the story, thankfully.
A frosty start for Vada she thinks Ethan is to straight forward and full on with his sexual innuendos but the annoyance soon turns to friendship or lust.
Ethan was a bit full on at first, I couldn't get my head around how on the first meet with someone he diesent know and a tenant I may add, he was throwing out sexual advances like he had been locked away for months and hadn't seen a woman which is absurd, women in the town fell over him and he was a famous potter who did exhibitions.
The whole book was a light read, no heavy drama, hot in all the right places and fun.
Leads to a hea and is a stand alone.
