Another brilliant addition to the series with two lovable characters.
A second chance love story with plenty of angst, danger, twists and turns and a brilliant love story to keep you clinging on till the end.
Preppy's brother, NINE, loved him, his backstory saddened me but I am so glad it all worked out for him that he finally found his place in the world after such a shitty start to his existence.
Nine became one of the brothers along with King and Bear, these loveable bad guys and he found love in his journey, he found Lenny.
Lenny is adorable, a young girl who lost both her parent's at the same time, this is when she first met Kevin aka NINE, the same night of her parents death contemplating ending it all, that one night has a lasting effect on both of them.
Years later Lenny is still a bit of a mess, a woman with anxiety, with a boyfriend who has just disappeared, taking all her savings and skipped town leaving her high and dry and now she has people after her who her boyfriend also stole from and they are not people you cross, one of these people being King, this is were fate steps in.
Some people would look at Nine and his friends as the bad guys, people who install fear into people of the town, Nine is one of those bad guys but he's also witty with a soft heart, he's adorable and what a match he is with Lenny, they are made for each other and fate plays a part in that.
A good story, this wasn't a dark or gritty read, I laughed, I swooned and enjoyed the Preppy banter, it was good to be reunited with previous characters and also be introduced to new ones.
Some parts seemed a bit unbelievable one of the twists did anyway but I went along with it, didn't make sense but *shrugs, in the whole I enjoyed it anyway.
NINE can be read as a standalone but you would benefit more knowing characters in this story from previous books and reading those first.
