When a reckless act upsets the balance between two MC clubs, everyone is fair game in the war that erupts.
Avery belongs to Lilith’s Army now, after being taken against her will, but she isn't just anyone, she's a Cutter's MC Princess, and they don't take kindly to people taking what's theirs.
As Avery’s life starts to spiral out of control, she finds that her only hope of survival is to put her trust in the man she doesn’t trust at all. The only man that can bring destruction to not only both clubs, but also to her heart.
When the fallout reaches beyond just the two clubs, the consequences bring death, devastation, and chaos for everyone.
The dynamics of both clubs change forever in the wake that follows. Fate isn’t done teaching Avery that life isn’t always better with the devil you know sometimes it’s with the devil you don’t.
So D.H Sidebottom & Ker Dukey did this thing...........
They only got together and wrote a fucking brilliant MC read!!.
I'm a Mafia & MC Book whore, I love the grittiness, the unpredictability, the darkness, the action, hotness and the bad boys you can't help but love.
Taking Avery was all that and more.
These two authors nailed it!
The very beginning of this book takes you to Avery and her friends on the way to a night out and stopping at a dingy gas station. When bikers pull up and an altercation takes place, innocents are killed and Avery and her friend are taken by the bikers.
Slade aka Frost discovers that his rogue and uncontrollable brother has messed up big time when they find Avery in his brothers room handcuffed and then see's what his brother Brenner missed, a mark on her neck, a mark stating she is the daughter and property of a rival MC.
To prevent a war Slade's father who is Prez comes up with a fabricated story as to why Avery would be at their club.
Avery won't be able to leave the club to prevent the truth being discovered and so she has to pretend she has been seeing Slade for a while behind her fathers back and they are running off to get married. Avery agrees with the plan through fear of her father and knowing what Brenner's actions would bring down on both clubs.
Slade is nothing like his evil brother, yes he's hard, tough, but like all these bad boys he lets his softer side shine through as he begins to spend time with Avery. Even amongst the chaos Slade was swoon worthy.
I couldn't put this book down eagerly wanting to know how everything was going to unfold.
The plot is compelling, There's danger, a club rat, twists and turns, even humour. Taking Avery was everything I love in an MC romance.
I loved it, and I am so looking forward to more from these two authors In the next book.
Told in first person dual pov and leads to a cliffhanger but not for Avery and Slade the cliffy is more a part of the corruption and the plot that leads to the next characters book but I'm still hoping to see a lot more of Slade and Avery for a fuller hea.
Excited for the next book.
