![]() I asked for his criteria for bed buddies-that's the PG version. He swore at me and said he didn't do groupies. And just like that, our friendship was off to a great start. Reese Forster was the starting point guard for the Seattle Thunder. Gorgeous. Cocky. Loved by the nation. He's also attending preseason basketball training camp where I used to work. Correction: where I work again, because I was fired from my last job. And dumped. And I might have a tiny bit of baggage, but that's normal. Right? Reese and I shouldn't have become friends. We shouldn't have become roommates. And we really shouldn't have started sleeping together ... (Except we did.) I'm adorably psychotic. He's in the NBA. This is not a disaster waiting to happen, at all. Teardrop Shot is a 100k standalone sports romance. What a heartfelt story. TEARDROP SHOT is so much more than a sports romance, yes, the main character Reese is a famous Basketball player but there's is so much depth within the plot, so many touching moments and I felt a strong connection to the characters, so it's not just about a sport's star, it's about the man behind the sport star and it's also about the woman he meets who makes this star who was beginning to fade shine brighter. Two characters who meet and breath new life into each other. Charlie at first comes across as an odd ball, a little wacky with no mouth filter but behind the verbal dilemmas, she's a young woman hurting, hiding and afraid to start living again. Charlie is a huge baseball fan so when she is working at a camp and discovers her idol is going to be there she loses it. Charlie is funny, you cant help but laugh at what comes out of her mouth or in her thoughts she is a woman with backbone and a great character. You could say the stars align when Charlie and Reese first meet, I was swept away with this friends to lovers story. Charlie and Reese are both grieving the loss of loved ones, not by death but by circumstances, illness, choices others have made, their story is a tear-jerker, a heart-warmer and fan me down hot, a story you won't want to put down. A completely different kind of read from Tijan and I want more, I loved it all. One of my favourite reads this year. Charlie and Reese forever ;-) Arc received for review purposes
