![]() REVIEW A Heartwarming read by Claudia Connor Worth the wait is a second chance romance told in third person. Mia and Nick first met at school while Nick was looking after his 2 year old sister Hannah. A sad start to Nicks story losing his parents and then being the oldest having to take care of his brothers and his little sister. A whirlwind romance began where both Mia and Nick fell into a routine and Mia became part of the family taking on a motherly role, after the bad and Nick losing his parents things began to seem right until they weren't. A serious incident with Hannah became the wedge that separated both of them, guilt and blame outweighed the love they both had for each other. Over ten years later both are re-united, both still in love with each other and both struggling to see beyond the past. A beautiful and heartwarming journey of two people that is at times bittersweet, tells of a deep love that got tested with time and love overall won. I haven't read previous books but would love to read the story of Hannah and the brothers, I found the plot easy to follow and I was immediately drawn into the story. Dual pov's preferable but with the plot going from past to present it worked. ![]() NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: WORTH THE WAIT ~ Nick Walker's story, if you remember him, from Worth The Risk, Hannah's oldest and broodiest brother. Whoop!! I could not be more excited for this book. Plenty of angst and plenty of swoon and you KNOW Matt, Abby, and the kids are in there too!
