Second Chance Romance
I love books by Abbi Glines, I always finish with a sigh and love every part of the journey the characters embark on.
In You were mine you have Bethy and Tripp. They were both each others first loves but then distance and circumstances separated them.
Both moved on physically but never in their hearts.
Bethy began a new journey with Jace who then unfortunately died in an incident in the sea while trying to save Bethy.
A heartwarming and heartbreaking story, it's bitter sweet.
Eight years later Tripp returns and this time he is determined to stay and make Bethy his again only so much has happened, so much time lost, so much anger and hurt for Bethy and much to overcome so much so that all Tripp can do is bide his time.
You were mine pulls on all the emotions with its swoon-worthy moments, heartwarming moments and with Tripp's dirty mouth the fan me down scenes the hot moments.
All the characters you may have read about in this series are in this book so you also get a glimpse of your favorite characters. You were mine is a standalone but the series is interlinked so you still get a glimpse and can still catch up with characters from previous books.
Listened on audio with really good narration.
